Arrowwood has been a great experience. The people here make all the difference. Jamie is EXCELLENT at what he does as an alumni coordinator. He does amazing peer support work. Keegan, Jess, Ms. T, and Ajai are phenomenal group facilitators. Uschell, Joel, Suge, Quan, Claud, Crystal, and Tracy are amazing BHT's. Everyone is so supportive. The facility is great, very clean, and lots of things to do here. I would recommend to a friend.

I just want to take a moment to thank Arrowwood and their entire team. I’ve had several friends—and even family members—go through their program, and every single one of them has had nothing but great things to say. They always mention how beautiful the facility is, but more importantly, how genuinely kind, caring, and supportive the staff are on a personal level. Thank you all for the amazing work you do—please keep it up!

Top 10 Rehab In Waterford
Mission Prep Teen Treatment, located in Waterford, Virginia is a private drug rehab center that specializes in the treatment of addiction rehab.
There is a stigma with RTF's, and it is a very difficult decision for parents to make. I am so grateful to have found Mission Prep for my daughter. Mission Prep is the exception to the "stigma." Other RTF's take notes.... William (admissions) was super informative and explained everything in detail to me from the smallest detail to the largest detail. His communication was nothing short of phenomenal. There was a delay because of insurance, but he picked up right where we left off and made the process flawless. He is honest. Thank you to the UA team for fighting for my daughter's right to have quality treatment. That team never stopped fighting along side myself, the school, other professionals and doctors - they were successful. The facility is nothing that I had ever seen before. It is not a stereotypical RTF where it keeps children in an environment that looks like a prison. The tour was out of this world. The staff was super friendly. It was so serene, I remember saying "is there a place like this I can go to." The food is not just edible, it is phenomenal, as they have a chef on site. It was clean, open, and calming. After I said my goodbye, I sat in my car with my sister and cried. I didn't cry because of the situation or what had transpired previously, I cried because I felt like this was going to be the facility that would save my daughters life. My daughter went in on cloud nine (she was inpatient for 8 weeks prior). She did have a downward turn of events, so much so that I was concerned she might get kicked out of the program. The doctor put in for genetic testing, which was life saving. We found out the medication that my daughter was put on prior to inpatient was a danger zone medication that exasperated all of the black box warnings that the medication had. The doctor successfully and safely tapered her off of the medication. She now wants to live! Thank you to the staff for braving the storm while she was tapering off such a powerful medication. Never giving up on her. Challenging her and getting to the root of all of the problems. Because the staff never gave up and was there constantly 24/7 giving her care, she didn't give up and wants to live. The program at Mission Prep is astounding. I heard a lot of lip service from other residentials and it turned out they didn't deliver on the scheduling, outings, and program. They have a very structured routine. School work (they even help advocate with the school for your child), groups, individual sessions, family sessions, constant updates, daily phone calls with your child, family visits are strongly encouraged. My daughter has done equine weekly, an alpaca farm weekly, baby goat therapy, gardening, outings, I could go on and on. The outings are fun and of substance! The outings help the kids feel like kids. The kids can have serious issues hence why they need 24/7 supervision by professionals but with a program like this it doesn't institutionalize them. It gives them hope, and prepares them for life outside of RTF. The way they set up family sessions and visits helps with the transition too. Financial planning, cooking classes, you name it they do it. They even set up IOP after discharge! The therapists are trained in EMDR, CBT, DBT and everywhere in between. They are really top notch. I adore the clinical director, Michelle. She is compassionate, but takes no crap. There are rules that must be followed. Her approach is necessary. She contacted me for Mother's Day to wish me a Happy Mother's Day, and I replied "Happy Mother's Day, thank you for being there for my daughter and being a mother figure in her life during treatment." Michelle is the mom of the facility and her role is essential. Michelle is irreplaceable. Mission Prep did in fact save my daughters life. I am forever grateful to have found them in the darkest of times. Mental health is a life-long ride, and I know there will be some instances where my daughter starts to steer off. Mission Prep has given my daughter and the family the tools to help with that.

Greetings: If you find yourself in need of a top quality mental health residential care facility for your teen, Mission Prep Healthcare is a solution I can highly recommend without reservation. My review below is based on my direct knowledge and experiences gained as a parent whose child was a residential client in their Virginia facility. As you will soon see, this organization is close to my heart for a variety of reasons. From the intake process to discharge and follow-up family care, I am profoundly grateful for the exceptional care we received from Mission Prep Healthcare. Our experience included support from their staff based in California and the Virginia-based staff at the residential care facility in Waterford, VA. Although Mission Prep has staff at both coasts, I felt that the geographical distances did not lead to any gaps in care or communication...this is certainly a hallmark of a well run organization. Michelle Murphy, the Clinical Director and our Family Therapist, is an invaluable resource. She and her team guided our care by directly meeting our needs. In addition to the quality mental health care we received, I must recognize the culinary prowess of Stephanie, the Waterford, VA in-house chef. Her meal planning provided a well-rounded variety of home-cooked recipes that worked in conjunction with the program's occasional take-out meals from local restaurants. The needs of residential clients are quite varied. I was simply impressed with how well staff responded to our daughter's needs. The level of trust I have for the staff at Mission Prep Healthcare cannot be overstated. The team demonstrated a high level of respect, compassion, and professional expertise on a daily basis. While our daughter was half a country away from us, my heart was at ease knowing that she was receiving exceptional care from people I could trust. The Waterford, VA property is located in a bucolic rural setting that is peaceful and serene. The residence has a homey, comfy and relaxed vibe yet is within an easy drive to DC and surrounding metropolitan resources and attractions. The Virginia Mission Prep Healthcare programming also includes off-campus enrichment outings, including: Equine therapy, alpaca farm visits, water parks, roller skating, shopping, library, and visits to area restaurants. We appreciated all of the efforts to provide comprehensive programming. Selecting a residential healthcare facility for your teen is a daunting task. I am beyond thankful that our family's journey gave us the opportunity receive treatment from Mission Prep Healthcare. My hope is that your family receive a similar experience at Mission Prep or wherever you land as you work to support your teen's mental health needs. Until next time...tk
