What sets Sequoia apart is its fierce dedication to rebuilding lives, not just detoxing bodies. The program didn’t stop at flushing the drugs out; it dug deep into the why behind my addiction. Group therapy sessions were raw and real—strangers became lifelines as we shared our stories, failures, and fragile dreams of sobriety. The counselors were warriors, armed with expertise and empathy, tailoring treatment to fit my messy reality instead of some cookie-cutter plan. By the time I left, I wasn’t just clean; I was armed with tools to fight for myself. Sequoia didn’t just save me—it reignited a fire I thought addiction had snuffed out forever. If you’re lost in the grip of this disease, this place is a beacon worth running toward.

I have been to several inpatient treatments in my life, and the time I spent at PCE was not time wasted. The counselors are awesome, as are the support staff. The food is great, you actually get full and it's delicious. I was there over Christmas, and they bought everyone presents! I got a hoodie and a cool water bottle and this neat graphite drawing set. The time I spent in therapy groups was time well spent. They help you formulate a plan for when you leave, which sets them apart from other inpatient facilities, in my opinion. All in all, definitely recommend if you need treatment.

What a horrible experience! I went to the Women’s and children’s home with my 10 month old daughter and we were both traumatized by the experience. I was looking forward to getting into the 4 to 6 month program and only stayed for eight days. From the moment I got there until the moment that I left the whole place just seemed like disorganized chaos. Upon entry, I was told to leave my daughter’s car seat that they had extra car seats provided. When I mentioned that to staff I was told I should have kept her car seat. The first night my daughter was forced to sleep in a toddler bed, which she fell out of and hurt herself, since they do not allow co sleeping and I was not provided a pack and play for her to sleep in safely until the next day even though I had brought it up several times the day I arrived and spoke with more than one staff member about it. The common area as well as the bathrooms were extremely dirty. My daughter and I caught whatever was going around a few days after we arrived and were violently ill for about 24 hours. Not to mention days later, when I left, the sickness was still being spread around from parents to children and children to parents. I only was able to shower three times in eight days as you are required to take your baby with you or ask someone else to watch your child while you shower. My daughter was greatly affected in a negative way by that place. She stopped eating and sleeping she would wake up every hour during the night crying and had permanent bags under her eyes. They also wanted to take some of my DSHS cash assistance for rent for the baby. They were also going to take ALL of my food stamps each month while I was there. Sorry but there’s no way my daughter and I would have consumed over $500 in groceries a month especially since I provided them with my WIC, as they also require, which purchased my daughters formula which is her primary source of nutrition at 10 months old. The counselor that was assigned to me, I was told by another staff member, was a new counselor to that facility and new to counseling in general. I would ask questions and would not get them answered. I was not told all of the assignments that were to be done each week and that they were due every Sunday. After a week of trying to get myself and my daughter acclimated and seeing the toll it was taking on my daughter which in turn was affecting me tremendously I decided it be in her and I’s best interest to leave. I let my counselor know I wanted to leave and was told to let them know if I still felt that way in the morning I told them there’s no need to check with me in the morning I had made up my mind and was leaving. I was told they would purchase a bus ticket for me to get back to Western WA, which they did. Yeah, that was fun holding my baby on my lap for a 3 to 4 hour bus ride because I didn’t have a car seat because they told me to leave it upon entry. Upon being discharged they gave me some other patients childs medications. There’s more but these were the major reasons why I left. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My daughter was at this place, she ask me to check for interactions on the prescription drugs she was taking. I did so and found that 4 of them had severe reactions with the other meds she was on. She had told me that 3 times they could not wake her up in the morning. I call 4 times that day to speak to the person in charge, they never returned my call even tho I told them it was life threatening. I also called twice and ask that my daughter call me. They did not tell her. That day was not good for her because of a patient that was gang affiliated began harassing my daughter in front of the staff which would not do anything to stop this person from her verbal assaults. My daughter decided to leave because the staff would not stop or say anything to this person. Inspirations paid for her return trip to the Everett area, she was not ask her where would be a safe place for her to dropped off, inspirations told the transport people to drop her off at the Tulalip Casino. Inspirations was well aware she had a gambling addiction.

I just completed treatment at New Horizons Care Center and I am so grateful for the help I received. Ashley and Chris were so nice when I had to schedule appointments and when I had questions they directed me to the right person. My group leader Dustin was beyond helpful and the most wonderful support I have ever had. He was the right person, in the right place, at the right time that I needed in my recovery journey. He made groups very enjoyable and made me want to do better. On days where I didn't want to go to class, I showed up and was glad I did. My counselor Jo was a huge support as well. She made MRT and Relapse Prevention fun. This is the best treatment facility I have been through. ( I have been through a few). I believe in my heart this place has made a great impact that will stick with me for the long haul!

I have been going to new horizons for about 6 months now. It has been a journey for sure! Everyone I have come across has been very supportive, caring, and genuine people! If you don't see any improvement, its literally because your not putting in your own self work! This is the first time in my life being sober after 24 years of doing my choice of addiction. I wouldn't been able to make it as fair as I did without the help from my counselor, my group leaders, and my therapist. I am very grateful I choose this place to finally become sober. If you are serious about becoming sober. Please try this place out. You won't regret it!

I came here 2018. I was 15 (now I'm 20)it was great when I was there. Staff & therapists,( Jason was my counselor) , They were nice , accepting & caring. There was also many activities : Horse back riding, Rock climbing, Boxing, Gym, Dance classes, Yoga, laser tag, pool party, looking at puppies Etc. The Food was Great & always gave us snacks. They gave us Bath and Both works & Makeup palletes every weekend. It was a great rehab & it helped me out a lot is what I can say. I seen some review of people who I went to the facility with and I can say That what she said isn't even close to True & She was In the just To start Problems (She was a Karen) . If you don't want to be in a rehab or need to be in one in general don't be in there just to Start Problems because there's people who do want the help & this place will help you so I definitely recommend it. If you say this place is bad , clearly you've never been to Foster Care cause this place Was Great. Idk How it is Now But my Experience there was Amazing.

They printed out packets of study sheets to keep me occupied and even allowed books and shoes. As long as the shoes don't have shoe laces and you're responsible with your possessions: intrinsically satisfying, responsibilities to self, and take care of your belongings. Unnamed individual may have overcorrected me by mildly lashing out with this tension, which was okay considering my remarks prior to this interaction was mistakenly insulting. He later presented kindness and respect outside of that aforementioned day. He even glued the sole of my shoe with gorilla glue and threw in a bouncy stress ball before leaving. Speaking of resources and the gorilla glue in the kitchen, the meals were enjoyable at dinner after breakfast, lunch, and two snack times. Full belly and respected leniency. By far, even though this writing might not be best structured, they are with ease and the best psychiatric facility I've ever been to.

Frontier has given me my life back. Once you're properly set up with your clinician and therapists, there are so many wonderful changes you can expect. Not only that, but this location offers the best peer support staff I've ever worked with (Nikki, you're fantastic!). They have a variety of groups, and offer med management. My clinician was great at connecting me to resources for homelessness and housing options, and honestly, frontier has been instrumental in my recovery. I cannot thank this organization enough.
