This place is truly a Place of hope for people struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma like me. The whole person care allows your to heal your mind, body, and spirit. I thought I was too old and lost and didn't need to deal with old trauma. Once I reached capacity to function in my daily life, I realized I needed help to take ME back. I learned so many skills while I was there for 5 weeks, I healed my exhausted system, and from the front desk staff to my team of therapists I will be forever greatful.

This organization is so wonderful. The people that come here for help are just like you and I. Everyone is supportive, understanding, and helpful. They really do look at the whole picture. The housing is so nice, the food good, the programs perfect. I have been here a week and already can feel my soul healing. Thank you for helping me find peace again.

My time at The Center A Place Of Hope was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and it was a life changing experience. I recommend that everyone goes and does DBT! I entered in terrible shape and a bad attitude. I left with a ton of skills, aftercare, a girlfriend, friends, confidence to face disaster and the harshness of society, greater self-knowledge, and soberness. The therapists, counselors and psychiatrists were fantastic, and I frankly wish I could stay there forever. Unfortunately, I can’t, but I do miss it. Also, if society modeled itself after DBT, the world would be a much better place. Hooray for DBT!!! Hooray for The Center!!!

I am incredibly grateful for my time here. This facility provides a true continuum of care designed to detox, stabilize, and educate you so you can build a real foundation for recovery. The absolute highlight of this program is the counselor I had and the process group sessions they ran. The groups are real, raw, emotional, and intensely vulnerable. The counselor created an environment that finally forced me to be honest with myself and with others for the first time in decades. The staff members are attentive, but they are also direct and highly structured—and they are that way for a very good reason. I know people love to complain online and leave bad reviews about the food here, but the reality is that the food is perfectly fine. In fact, it was the first real, balanced nutrition I had received in years, especially considering the amount of poison I had been putting into my body before arriving. It’s a rehab facility, not a culinary adventure. A 4-star rating reflects that while the process is demanding and highly structured, it provides exactly what is needed for a solid foundation. Looking at the big picture, this program offers the essential tools to succeed for anyone ready to do the heavy emotional lifting. There are all walks of life here. Some are ready, others are not, and that becomes apparent early on. Such is life.

I entered this residential treatment program expecting to hate it and at the end of my stay here I didn’t want to leave. Every person there played a part in my recovery. I loved that we got our phones for 40min Tuesday-Friday and could order things on Amazon as long as they were approved. I was able to order a few LEGO sets to keep my hands busy in the evening and that helped so much. You can bring your own bedding and pillows so it feels more like a dorm. If you’re looking for help just go, now! Your life depends on it.

I appreciate the dedication and support of all the Milam staff that have been apart of my recovery journey from inpatient to outpatient services. The case managers are caring, and knowledgeable and going into action group/IOP made all the difference in the world setting me up for success!

Had to do a court ordered assessment and I decided to go through Lakeside Milam in Puyallup, Deena Dole helped me with the process of getting me checked in, running me through the paperwork, and she even was the one who did my assessment! She was very helpful, very thorough, walked me through everything that was needed, and answered everything questions that I had. 10 out of 10, if you need to do a drug or alcohol assessment whether it’s court ordered or for your own reasons, I recommend Puyallup!

Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

I was at Ollala back in March of 2024 for a 28 days inpatient stay. It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible. The staff and counselors are so accepting and compassionate, they truly make you feel important. I would recommend Ollala Recovery Centers to anyone!!

My time at Royal Life Sumner was a great experience overall. The building is a little run down (showers temp fluctuate, creaky loud floors) and they seem to run short on supplies (cups, snacks, etc) a bit too frequently. But the staff far and away redeems this place in my eyes. They were by and large extraordinary, truly. A couple of them left a wonderful impression on my heart that will last a very long time. Occasionally, a few staff members can be a pissy toward you should you choose to sit out a meeting, legitimate reasons or not. This approach really bothers me. Their heart is in the right place, but c’mon- with the staff being mostly addicts in recovery they should know better, in my opinion. You can’t force recovery on someone. Progress rather than perfection right? From what I’ve gathered about the principles of recovery, you should greet newcomers with open arms and free of judgement lest you ward them off. Makes you wonder if these certain peeps understand the basic principles they claim to stand behind. Counterproductive. Anyways, I’ve beat that horse into the ground. that was only a handful of them though, overall the vast majority of the staff members were extraordinary. They offered valuable insight, joke around, and help guide you to the best of their ability, the heart to heart private talks with a few of them left an impression on me that will last a long long time. I was touched by their kindness. Recommended.

My expirence is i had a great time! Every staff is amazing and kind i would recommend this program to anyone and everyone including my own family. I loved the groups and how the facilitators made it easy for me to understand and apply it to my life. The things people said are going to help me make a lasting change in my life.

Honestly I was nervous just to do detox because I thought I'd be locked down in a room but they have games and activities like tai chi, yoga, going to the gym and the food is great! I eat 3 meals a day and get these golden opportunities to have more life into me instead of me thinking to use. I was going to stay for 7 days but im doing 21! Then going to another 12 week program to better my living situation and start fresh with other people that you spend time with!

Been with Dr. Talbot since age 5 I am 51 years old today. This clinic has helped me through my toughest times. So many options of support at any range of health care. Few of my relatives would say the same. Very grateful to this clinic as they don't treat you like cattle or a number.

RIP THANE I was there for line a little over 80 days I think, it went fine I suppose.. I got the sweatshirt so. I did switch therapists like 3 times tho, and like 13 staff left while I was there. i was a patient at newport for 47 days and it completely changed the way i live. before i went to newport i had zero hope in my future. i was sure that i would die before 18 and i wouldnt listen to anyone who told me otherwise. now im almost 18, applying to colleges, and im EXCITED to be doing that. ive never been excited about those kinds of things. newport was definitely stressful, and it was work. of course it was, its therapy. its not meant to magically fix you. but it helps IF YOU LET IT. a lot of the reviews on here are from kids who never wanted to get better. the staff here cant FORCE u to try. u make that choice urself. and once u do, u have so many staff members and kids there to support you. newport academy saved my life.

I recently had the opportunity to speak at Newport Academy and share my recovery story with the residents, and it was a truly rewarding experience. Trevor, one of the program directors, was wonderful to work with and clearly passionate about helping the young women in the program. I was also impressed by how seriously the staff takes recovery and resident well-being. Before we shared our stories, the girls were asked for their consent to participate, which reflected the respect and care the team has for each resident. While I can't speak to what it's like to be a resident at Newport Academy, the environment appeared supportive and welcoming. The girls seemed comfortable, engaged, and willing to be vulnerable as my friend and I shared our experiences in recovery. Their openness, honesty, and courage left a lasting impression on me. I am rooting for each and every one of these girls. They inspire me, remind me why recovery matters, and give me a sense of purpose when sharing my story. Thank you to Trevor and the entire team for the warm welcome. I'm grateful for the opportunity and would be honored to return in the future and be of service to this amazing facility again.

Are you happy there? Just shut out another perspective patient and maybe that will give you some relief, and ease your day. I don't like one bit the way I was completely avoided for several years, when it came to my deteriorating neck. Now, more nerve pain and instability. Is there at least any kind of moral justification the Puget sound VA health care system follows so a person can get the care they need? The Seattle VA saved my 80 year old Dad a Vietnam Vet's life! The care he received was amazing! His doctors and nurses are awesome! And his case managers and support staff helped him get everything he needed to get him home! He is doing great and we owe it to all staff at the Seattle VA!! Thank you for saving my Dad! ❤️

My name is Jo and i have to tell you, Hotel California gave me my life back. i was so lost in my addiction to alcohol and marijuana, i lost my self as a mother, a partner, and my own self identity. Hotel helped me rediscover me again, they helped me to build a routine and to fill the time i was using, numbing, with meetings, new connections, and purpose. I found Jo again! The staff is wonderful, I got frustrated at times, mostly when I wasn't wanting to listen or accept change. If you truly work the program, you will come back on top of your life, plus the chef makes some KILLER food! And there is ALWAYS coffee at the AA meetings! The outings are fun too, this last week they took us to the mall and i spent all of my time at the arcade, while others shopped, we just had to meet back up at the set time! If you choose hotel, and stay all the way through, the feeling of accomplishment will amaze you, and being sober freaking rocks by the way! I was afraid I would never have fun again, now i find myself enjoying life again, without substance. If you think youve hit rock bottom, or youre almost there, let Hotel save you, its worth it!

Friendly staff, caring doctor, and a safe and clean clinic. Staff turnover with counselors is rough however. I've been here since they opened and would recommend to anyone needing MAT support.

I have been going to the Kent Comprehensive treatment Center for a little over a year now. I did have a small break after only being a client for 3 months or so. But came back because I was ready to use the program for what its intended for. I've made some friends at the clinic. I credit the in person art group for helping me rediscover my love for coloring/drawing. The staff are always super friendly. And the counselors are all here for us when we need the help. If you've contemplated going to a methadone clinic, I will always recommend doing it. Cause it saved my life as well as my girlfriends. And I will always be grateful for that

Im on my second week this week and I truly love it the two girls in reception are total sweethearts and my counselor Amy i knew her 5 seconds before I knew I was in good hands I instantly felt comfortable and that I could tell her anything and I new she actually cares and isn't there just for a paycheck ! And idk why I didn't listen to people sooner about getting on the program it's working and I'm slowly but surely getting better

I have been a patient at 6 different clinics over the last decade. The counsellor Alan Hauber is by far the best counselor I have ever met in my life. He has gone above and beyond to help my husband and I be successful in our recovery and is one of the most kind-hearted people on Earth. My husband and I both can not say enough good things about this man. He is phenomenal! ☺️ The PA-C (doctor) Lilly is awesome. The dosing nurses are all very kind and understanding (but I gotta say Charlie is my favorite 😊). Kristi at the front desk has been amazing to us as well!

I'm changing my post again because theyre are some really good people that work here that are trying to help. Thanks THS shoreline for everything you do. I would definitely recommend Alan the counselor he's great Melissa I think she's the one that runs everything she's really good and I'm not sure what her name is but the lady that works at the front desk Krista is awesome she will help you

It works if you work it. I transferred to MAT here after completing the CUPWS program at Swedish Ballard. The counselors and team here are supportive and thoughtful. A few made lasting impressions that I will forever be grateful for. Proud to say I have over 5 years of recovery, and almost 4 years off of MAT. Thank you, THS for helping me start my journey to becoming a thriving, driven, and respectable member of society.

This place helped save my life. The CUPWS program and the doctors associated with it are nothing short of amazing. I received the best care here and through the OB Outreach Clinic. I am now going strong, with over 5 years of recovery and a happy healthy 5 year old girl. Recovery is possible, thank you Dr. Rudolf, Dr. Walsh, and everyone who supported me on my journey along the way. Proud to say that I have changed my life, and currently in Nursing School so I can provide the compassion and care that was once so freely given to me through this program and the beginning of my recovery. It IS possible, and addicts are as much deserving as anyone else.

It’s a drug detox facility it’s not supposed to be fun. The doctors are very attentive & genuinely care about the patients. I went there last year & got on the methadone program. They were extremely helpful w setting me up at the methadone clinic closest to my home location. They get a star taken way only because you can’t leave your small room unless it’s to walk the hallways. Fresh air & some sunshine would’ve made it a perfect 5 stars but you can’t leave your room really is the only negative thing I’d say about the place. Other than that, it’s an amazing place to detox at. They will do everything in their power to make it as easy & painless as possible

The negative reviews are mostly people that push the limits of their program and try to game the system. Yes there is hope you have to jump through when you start and precovid there were a lot more of them. Now they have streamlined the system so aslong as you are stable and showing up when your supposed to it’s as simple as spending a few minutes at a time you choose between 6am-12pm waiting to get your meds and go once or twice a month. The dosing staff and doctors are doing their best to work with getting everyone in as few times as possible while making sure you are doing what you’re supposed to be doing the only real negative is the other clients can be a lot to handle when you are trying to get clean in the beginning if they aren’t. Front desk staff and councilor turn over is roughly every two years but that’s the average in the industry so bake that in to your plan. All the way around this is the high water mark for MAT clinics in the state and your alternative is to keep suffering day to day waiting on deadbest people that don’t care about you. SIGN UP TODAY you won’t regret it.

i’ve been to a few of these clinics in my life, This is a really good one. I got off to a slow start though. Hint: *make sure the doctor is in that day, if you want to get it done fast!. and if you’re trying to get on meds the same day, get there real early. Staff is friendly, patient, Doctor is amazing, Only good to say after three months.
