I have a friend who is helped by this facility. They are WONDERFUL about taking your calls and addressing immediate problems. Other places in Charleston (a particular doctor who has since retired) never helped them like this place does. Erin Neff in particular is wonderful and does a beautiful job!

I thought this was a good clinic till my insurance stopped out of the blue and I went to a appointment to find out I'm not getting my medicine and they don't care that I will be sick they could have given my something to make sure I don't flip out and the withdrawals from the medicine is really bad they be playing games with your life if your insurance stops for any reason all about the Benjamin's not life and sobriety money only they would not even let me use the phone or tell me how to fix anything when I go in because they sent me a doctor appointment over the phone turns out it was to be discharged I walked a hour both ways to show up sick thinking my insurance finally was fixed and they would not help I asked for help from my counselor to try to figure out what was up while I was paying they were we love you great job blah blah blah Casey was sending me out everytime with a little card with a heart drawn paper with messages saying we love you then I try to get help so I can keep getting my medicine and it's screw you ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CASH HUNGRY DEUCHE BAGS

I’ve been going to Prestera for 3 years. Even when I moved to Parkersburg I continued my treatment at Prestera in point pleasant because of the quality of treatment I receive there. My counselor Bethany is absolutely amazing, the person that did my intake was so informative and my psychiatrist Jaime that prescribes my meds is the best psychiatrist I have ever had in the 12 years of treatment that I have had from several different places. She evaluated by asking key questions and engaged with explaining things to me in a way I could understand. She interacted with back and forth conversation and really put a lot of thought into selecting medication that would help me. She took the time to listen to all the meds I had tried in the past that failed and I am so grateful for the effort and level of care she provided to me.
The building is old but they are doing renovations on it. But seriously it’s not the building that matters it’s the staff and the quality of care to really help individuals with a workable plan of treatment. They are on the ball and fakers beware. You won’t fool these professionals they know their stuff. Best care I have ever gotten. I’m sad to be moving out of state and I hope I can find a mental health team as dedicated as this one but if it wasn’t for them helping me lay the groundwork for my life I wouldn’t be moving ahead into a functional future. I’m getting married. When I started with Prestera 3 years ago I would have never imagined I could grow this much or move forward in life to this extent to have such a bright future ahead. Thank you to the Prestera team for helping me heal.

Prestera has changed so much since I was last seen there. My therapist Kristen is the best and she actually cares about my mental health. She has helped me overcome so much and is keeping me focused on my goals. On top of that, her office is warm and inviting. Prestera is stepping up and I highly recommend Kristen, she's awesome.

5 stars no doubt!!! Staff is WONDERFUL!!! Every time I go in to that office, especially in the last few weeks, every lady in that place is working their tail off. Although some feel differently about certain situations, I have come to understand the importance of remembering that they do have to follow the laws and do as they're requested to do. From my experience in this office, they care a very great deal about their patients. Every issue I have had in that office, I have had the privilege of talking with Mr. Steve Sams which has done a stunning job listening to every issue I would present to him. This is an absolutely wonderful business (of course has some flaws just like any other place) with very, very hard working staff that does everything they possibly can to take care of their patients. Unfortunately I've heard that the office will be closing next week, so so sad to see it go!!!!

This plce truly saved my life, i went there for substances other thwn alcohol, at times it can feel like being in high school all over again but at th3 end of the day it just works as long as youre willing to do the work, the staff goes above and beyond and out if their way to help you. These people saved me! From the doctors, nurses, and counselors. To even the office manager and receptionist. These people really care! They don’t treat you like less of a person because of your “situation” they are respectful and professional. Honestly, if more treatment centers would follow the lead of this one. I probably would have gotten help 10 years ago. If you are 110 percent serious about getting help. And you choose to go the maintenance route. This is the place! I never would have made it if the staff wasn’t as supportive as they are. So thank you to everyone there! They listened to me when absolutely no body else would! They didn’t judge me when absolutely everyone else did! they were kind to me, when no one else was! And they had faith in me, when even I had no faith in myself!

SROs truly gave me a safe friendly environment to grow in my recovery.. it's a drug free environment with friendly management and staff.. that holds me accountable with random drug screens which Im happy to take. Its giving me back my life adulting..Not enough privacy and too much freedom in my early recovery didn't work well with me in my past.. I am blessed to live here along side many other recovering addicts.. I have also been blessed to see the parking lots fill up with cars and friends move back to their home towns or new apartments.. Amazing service. Great staff. Just yesterday I had an appointment at this clinic. Afterwards I went to Rural king and dropped a salt lick block on my toe. Worried that it might be broken, I returned to the clinic. As a walk in, I asked the clerk if they do X-rays and explained my situation. She said take a sit, they'll be right with you. Not 10 minutes later, I had my X-ray taken and I was out the door heading home. I am very blessed to have access to this clinic. They do great work and I would recommend this clinic to any veteran in the area.

My husband spent 5 days here, was seen by multiple Doctors and NP, but really received a definite diagnosis before leaving, never understood what was the cause of all his problems and there did not seem to be any rhyme not reason to his care, it was all divided into different MD's and he was not given a care manager.

HRS is where all my recovery seeds were planted more than 18 years ago. I went to Bassett House willing at 15. The staff at HRS and Bassett were AMAZING! The nurse from Bassett is still in my contacts to this day! Has it been easy? No. Has it been worth ot. Yes! I would highly reccomend! The aftercare will be just as crutial!

I’ve been going here for a little over 2 years I’m pretty sure I’ve been seeing McDaniels for 4. In the beginning of us going here my husband struggled with sobriety. I always felt comfortable talking to Becky about any of my concerns when it came to him. She knew I just wanted him to be sober with me. They never gave up on him & now he’s going on 2 years sober. Clients look up to Ms Blessing for the kindness she shows alot of people when they are at their rock bottom. The staff where very understanding and alot of people dont understand they cant break there rules or they get fired they are they to watch over u and make sure your not harming yourself or somone else. They are not therapist. So they are not there to listen to your problems. I was there for a month straight and watched how they treated people. And no if you sign yourself in there is certain criteria u have to meet before u go home. And if said person was to read the paperwork they would be aware of that. You get fed, showers,clothes and help. So to leave bad reviews when half of the people came from worse situations if un needed

And a whole bunch of freshly refilled medication
And the place is insanely understaffed.
But overall, I reccomend this place!! (especially loved the point system and loved snack cart)

I’ve seen a few therapist over the years and I’ve gotta say truly Spencer James is one of the best if not the best therapist in the world he has really been helping improve myself and my overall happiness with day to day activities and all of my anger issues he is seriously the real deal!! Thank you so much man I swear you deserve a raise after hearing my crazy spews sometimes lmao but thank for always being very active and helpful and thank you for calling me if I don’t make it to an appointment and staying on me. I know this is his job but it truly feels like he cares and even though my ADHD brain is literally everywhere all the time you always stay on track and keep up with whatever I’m saying even when I’m bouncing around from one topic to the next so thank you Prestera for employing such an amazing therapist
