I currently work here and have to say that the staff here is amazing. We all go above and beyond for our patients, in any way that we can. Our program director stole my heart from day one. I went to turning point in 2017 and I knew nothing about how to live a "normal" life. I had no idea how to do anything clean. Turning point taught me so much I still use today. The staff was amazing and helped me through early recovery and learning life skills I didn't know. I was so broken when I got to turning point but they uplifted me when I didn't want to continue. I'm still clean today and I have no doubt that turning point has a lot to do with that. I would recommend turning point to anyone

I attended the Woman with children program at turning point in 2015, I have since been able to stay clean coming up on 6 years and have since had my child full time. This place changed my life for the better. They slowly integrated me back into the community, teaching me life skills and how to be a woman! The rules may be a little strict, but if you truly want to better yourself, these rules are in place for that. Behavior modification, learning how to cook and clean, and counseling for my addiction. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for this program.

I dont personally go here but my girlfriend does, and she had been struggling with addiction and depression for a long long time. Then she found out about allied addiction recovery and started going, after a few weeks I saw a completely different person coming home and talking to me, she tells me how good her meetings are and how great a help and personal impact her therapist Cassandra has been on her. I just wanted to let anyone who is struggling to know that this place exists and DOES help. And id also like to put a personal thank you here to Cassandra for giving back my girlfriend! Allied Addiction Recovery has been one of the best desicions I have made for my recovery! The meetings that I attend through the week help a lot! Cassandra, the therapist whom runs group is just amazing at what she does! She genuinely cares, and goes above and beyond to help each individual reach their goals and full potential! She has helped me personally through a lot of hard times! The atmosphere is light and positive. However for some the group classes could possibly be a bit overwhelming at first. I am required to do 3hr groups 3 times a week. It just takes a little bit of motivation and determination! Everyone is different and need different things to successfully recover from addiction. However these lengthy classes/groups are what helps me the most.

Called to inquire about drug and alcohol classes for a family member and spoke to Shannon who was extremely rude and assumptive. I simply asked for a schedule of classes offered and she danced around the question and told me I was not authorized to receive medical information on the client. I was confused because that wasn’t what I asked and asked her again and she again danced around the question and then rudely told me it just depends on the therapist. Im unsure if the rest of the employees carry this attitude and demeanor but Shannon’s has a lot to be desired.

Do Not Go To This Place. What they offer does not happen. No horse therapy, Arts and Crafts were a joke. Went on 1 hike while there for 30 days. Staff is lazy, they just want to talk about clients behind their backs and smoke smoke smoke. Did go canoeing 2 times but not enough canoes. There is not enough staff due the staff quiting. Was told 5 star chef, well he quit after a couple of weeks. Nothing but carbs and starch. Did have a bowl of fresh fruit. Research the therapists....You can make your own decision. It is a pretty location but once you are there you CAN NOT leave and you do not get to keep your phone. You are totally cut off from the world. Just do a lot of research make your own decision. I left there and went to a a treatment Center in Florida for 45 days. Still clean and sober. After detox and residential treatment you go to the next step. Apartment, allowed to walk to the beach and were given your phone. Just really do your research. They promise but don't deliver

Let me just start off by saying how it is for me when my doctor says I have to go to the hospital. And it’s urgent, and if you don’t go you could really do harm to your body but also for the rest of your life. It all started with GOP CRANBERRY W/ Dr. Duke. My knee had some issues that I thought. Hey I can get it drained and move on. Well that wasn’t the case. And my knee blew up even more and had started and infection which had spread down my leg into my foot. I was so so sick. Chills, fever, migraines, muscles pains, It was horrible. I’m absolutely so thankful for the referral to HERITAGE VALLEY Sewickley. 1. Dr. Nicholas Kubik and his staff we absolute rockstars and professionals on explaining what needed to be done but doing it in such a manner that you felt so at ease with the whole team there. I felt so comfortable in the hands of this team. Everything worked out so well. The whole team communicated so well with my wife along the way. Also to Dr. Murillo for the help that she provides along the whole way as well. This hospital is a team and I felt it every step of my way thru this process I went. Thru. Every single nurse from the time I stepped foot on the property till the time I left, were the most kindest, loving, helpful, most generous people you could ever ask for. I’m so thankful for all the kindness and help I received from you. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. MICHAEL S. (727)

I was a resident at FFL for eight months. I’ll be fair and say nothing truly happened to me. I was never put in a hold, however I was threatened with them often, but no one put hands on me. Michaela and Ms. B from 1 East were absolute god sends. I don’t know what I would do if they weren’t there. They definitely could’ve done some things better, but they were in my opinion the best staff there. I remember near the end of my stay a girl kept trying to end her life pretty much every day. Staff didn’t seem to actually care. They seemed annoyed like it was all a burden. I get that it’s stressful to cut something off of someone’s neck everyday, but you don’t have to go around talking about how annoying it was. It truly disgusts me how staff handled the kids in here. My friend was jumped by four people and the staff put them all in the hallway together. No medical treatment was given to any of them. I had Covid at one point during my stay, but all medical staff refused to test me. They said I had no symptoms when I did in fact have them. I just didn’t have a fever. I gave my family Covid while on a homepass and they still didn’t care. They just didn’t want to gown up every time they had to come on the unit. The dating there was awful, but so was the staff’s response to it. We were all troubled kids, putting a fake restraining order on us is only going to make us want to be together more. The place is absolutely disgusting in person, especially because residents aren’t allowed to wear shoes. We had to wear slides around all day, and when I developed an ingrown toenail they took me to the doctor, even the medical professionals said that people from FFL came in with ingrown toenails all the time. I saw so many people get injured there and the nursing department not even bat an eye. The psychiatrist met me one time over video and diagnosed me with Borderline Personality Disorder. I was 15. I was given an antipsychotic injection I had to get every month that made me dull and lifeless. I told everyone I was getting better but I was faking every part of that. It’s so easy to manipulate everyone into thinking you’re doing okay when they don’t actually care about you. If you’re considering sending your kid here, don’t. It’s just straight up abuse at this point.
