When I arrived, I didn’t think there was any hope for a way out of the horrible life I was living. Wood Violet changed my whole way of thinking and showed me that it is possible to live an amazing, sober life. I could not be grateful enough or say enough to explain how thankful I am.
The staff was incredible from the moment I arrived making sure I was comfortable and knew what to expect. You can tell these are people who truly love their job and care about helping others.
The facilitators and counselors are amazing at what they do. Josh and Abby were two people who made a bigger impact on me than they will ever know. They probably don’t know it but they taught me valuable life advice I would never get from anyone else. I really respect the amount of effort and time they clearly put into giving clients amazing group sessions.
Overall, I would recommend Wood Violet to anyone struggling with mental health/addiction because they give you the tools and skills to not only enjoy sober life there and at home, but also know how to cope with tough challenges in life.
Thank you to all staff at Wood Violet for giving me a second chance at a happy and fulfilling life!! You guys are seriously the best!

I recently completed my stay at this rehab facility, and I truly can't say enough good things about it. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. The staff is absolutely incredible—so kind, compassionate, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels seen and heard.
The kitchen staff deserves a special shoutout too. You can tell they genuinely care about what they’re doing, and the meals reflect that care and attention.
What really sets this place apart is the culture. It’s positive, respectful, and empowering. Melissa, who leads the facility, has created an environment where residents are treated like adults. She trusts people to make the right choices and supports them along the way, which makes all the difference. That trust and mutual respect create a space that’s not only healing but also enjoyable and even fun.
I’m so grateful for my time here. It truly helped me grow and heal in ways I didn’t expect. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that feels safe, supportive, and genuine.

Wood Violet by far exceeded my expectations. I have been to another Sunshine facility in the past, but WVR surpassed that experience by leaps and bounds. I admitted on January 2nd and they had only been accepting clients for about 45 days or so.
Even though they were "new," the staff and facility operated as if they had been open for years. I cannot stress enough the personal feel you get as a client at WVR. Their customer service was awesome.
I hope I never have to return, but if I do WVR will be the place I head to!

The one (and only - unfortunately) methadone clinic that is an actual RESPECTABLE, CLEAN, SAFE CLINIC. I have had my share of experience and to have a place where you are respected and treated like a person, is HUGE. PLUS, as part of treatment, you are assigned a counselor; had Dawn Marie been my counselor through life, I probably wouldn't even NEED to go to a methadone clinic! You have no doubt that she has your back and best interests at heart. Which is priceless when it comes to treatment and getting WELL. As a social worker in the community who has regular interaction with Journey- specifically Crisis- the responsiveness and follow through is wonderful. I had a situation where I was uncomfortable attending to an individual alone. I called Crisis and was able to speak with and have a Crisis Worker who is familiar with the individual accompany me to the home visit. Having an additional person with me, we were able to accurately judge and come to agreement for the safety of the person- that he did not need hospitalization, but rather needed additional support and time to be listened to. My thought is this: Sometimes the greater structure of the system is the issue, and not the resources in the community that have to follow those structures in order to help. I am grateful for Journey!

I am not sure why there are so many less than stellar reviews here. I had a traffic citation that required me to get a drivers safety plan and clinical assessment here, and they took incredible care of me. The young woman that I was assigned to took so much time to really understand me and take care of everything the way it needed to be done. She was beyond amazing and I suggest that if you have to come through here that you request her by name. Her name is Ashley R. Newell, and she is just wonderful in every way. I wish she could know how much I appreciate her. Also, Sherri L. Schroeder helped get me squared away and point me to where I needed to go when I was completely lost in the sauce. I wish there was some way that this review could reach them. Long story short though, if you need ANYTHING, reach out two these two women, because they are absolute professionals and experts in the subject matter that they practice.

Wisconsin is ranked 19th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,625.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Wisconsin vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Wisconsin. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Wisconsin that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in Wisconsin.
UnitedHealth Group is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Wisconsin, with 119 treatment centers in the state accepting their insurance. Aetna is the 2nd most popular with 115 treatment centers accepting it followed by Humana in 3rd accepted by 102 drug rehabs.
Wisconsin is ranked 30th nationwide in drug rehab admissions, with 342 rehab admissions per 100,000 population in 2023, which is lower than than the U.S. national average of 621 admissions per 100,000.
The following are the number of Wisconsin rehab admissions in 2023 for each of the 6 most frequently used drug classes, as well as the relative percent for each type of drug.
