I was very satisfied with my experience at Bradford. I received excellent care from my treatment team and did an amazing amount of healing during my stay. My mental and physical health are better than they've been in years. My only regret is not coming to Bradford sooner.

My experience at Bradford was nothing short of amazing. They gave me another chance at life when some didn’t. Many who work at Bradford have a personal connection to addiction for which they can empathize with the clients. I am forever grateful for my experience there.
Fellowship house really helped me get back on my feet. Great place. Great staff. A safe place to recover. They care about your mental and emotional health. I learned so much from my time there. I transitioned to the apartments. I’m so grateful for the time I spent at Fellowship House. It’s a great place to get the help you need.

I love this place. Great staff. Great food. The classes get kind of redundant but other than that its a awesome place to go rehab.
Just had surgery on my prostate the 20th of Nov 2025. Had to stay in the Hospital until the 24th my surgery went well I'm 65 years young and still in pretty good shape. Now I want to thank God and to the Doctor's and Nurses of the entire Uterologist team and the 4th floor Nurses for taking good care of me. Nothing but the best of care i received from all of you keep up the good work and may God continue to bless you, at home enjoying my recovery time with family.

I just changed my VA care from Tuscaloosa to VA Birmingham and had my 1st appointment yesterday. They are very friendly and Dr. Marzette seems like a good doctor. He's very friendly and doesn't rush anything. I believe I'm going to like this facility. The only problem I have seen is the parking.

I just called the main number and talked to the operator at the VA Hospital in Birmingham just to get some general information and the lady that answered was extremely nice and very helpful. So if there's other veterans out there looking for help these are some good people.

The Lovelady Center is awesome! I have learned to love my self again, how to love other and most importantly how to love God again. I definitely recommend this place to anyone struggling with any kind of trauma or addiction. I thank God every day for allowing me to come here and for all my new friends I've met along the way. Impact Recovery was a great experience. This disease can make one feel alone and hopeless. In this place I felt welcome and embraced by the staff and other residents that share in this disease. They teach you not only to live a sober life but much more about a different way of life that is fulfilling and free. I can’t say enough about the staff”s authenticity and genuine care and understanding of someone going through and battling this illness. It comes from their own life experiences that are relatable to our own, as they all have battled this disease and live to share and help others achieve the same.

I honestly can’t thank Impact and their entire staff enough! I had no clue what to expect with them being my very first treatment center. I’ve never worked the Steps before and truly believed that I was just meant to live the same miserable life that I’ve been living until my death. They showed me that was far from the truth. I can proudly attest to that with today being 90 days sober! This is the longest I’ve been 100% off anything mind-altering since I was 14 years old.
From my very first call with the owner Adams to my last day of the 35 day program, everyone treated me with so much kindness and patience. They teach you everything you need to know in order to live a happy and healthy life without drugs/alcohol, you just have to be willing to not only learn what they teach but also put it all into practice in real life.
Wherever below rock bottom is, I was there for sure before Impact. Adams, Chad, Shaun, Colby, Schwartz, Dikis, Taner, Moody, Sam, Kathleen, and Emily, you are all a Godsend and I thank you for honestly saving my life. They do not close at no 345pm on Saturdays they close at 1230 no later than 1pm......also need to keep clothes for 1 dollars all the time....i shop here regularly when you put the clothes back to 1 dollar
My son was shot 4 times on Jan 31 on my granddaughter’s 13th birthday in front of his father in Bessemer. He was shot twice in the stomach and twice in the chest. He remained calm and called 911 and told God you saved me once so I know you will save me again. He was born three days after my 42nd birthday and received his name due to a healing when they said he was going to die. His name is Blesset Isaiah Person. After he was named after a Nigerian friend named Blessing and my sister-in-law said to name him Isaiah which means the Lord Saves I called and gave my assistant minister his name and the doctors’ cane in and said look like he’s going to pull through to which I responded there is no look like with God! Anyway UAB trauma surgeons are the best in the country. The surgery took about 41/2 hours. He lost a kidney, his spleen, a piece of his pancreas and has a bullet lodged in his back. First off when I made it to the 9th floor trauma unit Fonda gave me a coffee cake and Laquita continued to take care of me and my family daily! The nurses were heavenly divine. There was Abby Vice my favorite and Abby Hadaway my other favorite, plus Emily, and Shantia my son who relieved me and my son the patient’s favorite along with me. Omg all the nurses were so great. The PCAs’ Jason, Jordon, Brady, Daphne and the rest went above and beyond. As for the doctors’ the Trauma doctors were the best this side of heaven. Dr WAN was so kind and friendly. He explained my son’s condition very well as did Dr. Frutata and Dr Wu who discharged him today! Dr Amini made a great impression on me as well and Dr Weiner. They are exceptional and do their jobs in a manner consistent with excellence. I’m proud to have known them! I wish them continued blessings in order to continue to help others’ in their professional journey!💙🔥💙🔥💙🙏🏿

Unbelievable lifesaver. Amazing teachers, aides, staff. They are caring, they communicate. Take amazing care of your child. My son has progressed a ton since attending. Don’t know what we would do without this amazing school/ etc. Dream come true.
stayed for one week on two separate occasions on the adolescent psych ward. kind nurses, nice activities, and good food. some older nurses were rude and the dress code is a little strict. i left feeling better than i did when i arrived!

They have a wonderful Patient Care Tech!! He’s a cute white guy, They called him J.B. He was on night shift. I think his name was James. But this guy was an awesome PCT. He was very nice and polite to all the patients and he was very uplifting to me and Everyone around him and he also kept everyone laughing. He also cleaned up after us where other pct’s just sat in the area where the Nurses were and some even were so rude and would even provoke patients. 🙄
The Nursing Staff for the most part was kind and caring. Of course you have a few that are A holes but that’s to be expected anywhere you go! The Doctors were also nice and came around once a day.

I had a family member in the geriatric unit, and there are not enough thank you’s that I could give to our family member’s social worker, nurses, doctors, and all staff.
They are extremely open to working with you as a family, and take great care of your loved one. They show care, kindness, patience, and professionalism.
The incredible progress and help that we received having our family member here could never be repaid. Should you need it, they will be a great advocate for your loved one. Thank you so much!

Most of the people who work in this center are nice to me, my counselors were very friendly and comprehensive, they provide the greatest family counseling services, the love that they show to help children is sincere. I recommend all kind of people to visit them, really worth it.

Anxiety is a tough one, have lived with it for a very long time and it seems to get worse as the older I become, Doctors and Therapists here care about you and want the best for you while in there care, one day I'm hoping to find a resolution to my issues.

Since the first moment, I was treated with dignity and kindness, the people here were very pleasant, courteous and polite with everyone. The waiting room is comfortable and the waiting time is considerable. I liked the personal attention that I received from the nurses. Best treatment ever.

My name is Vanessa C. My experience at the Olivia's House was Life Saving, not only for me but for my children Erica and Charles. I went there not believing I had a Problem. After I was released I didn't follow what I was taught, but a few months later I got myself together and used the Tools I was taught there. When I return home from a trip and enter the gated community of condos surrounded with lush greenery and palm trees, I know I have returned to my oasis in the city. I love the Southern atmosphere the Condo Association has created, and I always feel welcome and at home in the surroundings. The property is well maintained and clean from rubbish. The swimming pool looks as though it would fit well within the confines of any upscale resort vacation facility and, like the surrounding area, is clean and well maintained.
The complex is located on the cusp of downtown Birmingham, and the airport is less than ten minutes away. A well connected Interstate system surrounds our city, and it's easy to navigate from my condo to any other location within the city or venture further out by car or from the nearby airport.

I have multiple friends that live at Hanover Circle Condominium and I have spent many, many days over the last 10+ years visiting them. It is also a treat to go to Hanover because I feel like I am entering a tropical resort each and every time I go to visit. I am greeted as I come through the front gate with a beautifully landscaped area with a five-tier fountain with topical water lilies and goldfish. The property also has Bevolo gas lanterns in the parking lot and around the beautiful pool area. To make the property even better, it is smoke-free so everyone can enjoy the area without breathing cancer causing smoke.
I am also amazed at the quality of resident that management has been able to attract to the property. Everyone I meet is very nice and the type of people you want to be around-doctors, lawyers, professors, elected officials, medical students, dental students, optometry students, law students, etc. You simply do not find this level of detail and quality resident anywhere else. In addition, the property is very secure with the gated access and cameras all about the property.
Excellent service, nice staff, professional attitudes, peaceful surroundings and clean beautiful environment.

Great people that actually seem to care, listen to you and value you which are some of the things anyone dealing with emotional or mental disorders need the most. Thanks to Dr. Yulia Spencer I was able to not only find the medications I needed at the time but eventually progress to where they were no longer needed. Best psychiatric experience I had any where.

Every since I made the decision enroll with Cooper Green it's been a Great Experience. It's very nice and clean. The staff greet you from every desk. They are really concerned about their patients. They don't just talk to you for 5 minutes and let you go. To every staff from signing me in calling me to the back and meeting my every needs Thank you. !!
I called to make an appointment to see Drew. The receptionist was so rude. She said he didn't work there. Then asked me for my zip code. Very rude lady. She did transfer me to his VM, though.
I gave it one star. But I've added to this review months later and give them 5 stars!!!!!
Update 8/2023...I got a call from Drew several months ago and he was very helpful and nice.
JBS has helped a friend of mine that was homeless.
They helped her get her own apartment, furnished. Without them, she would still be on the streets.
JBS helped her get all types of medical care and they pay for her all of her medicines.
They provide their clients with transportation to any grocery store to shop, twice a month. They have excellent therapists and counselors.
Jbs has many resources for their clients.
I should not have posted a review based on the receptionist. Maybe she was having a bad day.
I would definitely recommend anyone to JBS. They are very caring and helpful.
I saw a counselor with JBS over 25 years ago, when she was at First Light . She was so caring and helpful. (Robin)

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this agency. I suppose it's due to the fact that they do work with a lot of children and families that were referred because of involvement with the law, DHR, or because they are indigent and in need of mental health services. We have been working with project FIND and children's services It has been amazing. My son has turned back into the gentleman he was before adolescence set in. I cannot sing the therapists praises enough.
