This VA facility is pretty good. It's just a satellite it helps you avoid going to little rock. If you have larger issues in your health you should expect to go to little rock. People here are friendly and helpful.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt like this one needed to be written. Matt Lapham has been one of the biggest blessings during my time at True Self. What makes Matt different is that he has been where many of us have been. He understands the struggles, the setbacks, and the challenges of recovery because he’s lived it himself. That experience allows him to connect with people in a way that can’t be taught. Matt goes above and beyond for every single client, often without looking for any recognition. Whether it’s making sure someone has hygiene products, helping people find clothes and socks, taking clients to food banks, or simply being there when someone needs support, he’s always finding ways to help. If someone is in need, Matt is usually already working on a solution before they even have to ask. One thing that always stands out is the way he takes care of everyone at the house. He cooks dinner every night without complaint, and somehow manages to make it feel like a home instead of just a place to stay. The meals are always great, and it’s clear he puts his heart into everything he does. Matt also teaches classes at True Self, and every class leaves an impact. He has a way of making people think deeply about their recovery, their choices, and their future. Even when he doubts himself or feels like he could have done better, those of us listening know he’s doing an amazing job. His honesty, experience, and passion for helping others come through every time he speaks. True Self is fortunate to have someone like Matt Lapham. The amount of time, energy, and compassion he pours into helping others is truly inspiring. I have an amazing doctor, Dr. Morgan. My other specialists are wonderful, too. No one has been disrespectful or nasty to me, unlike hospitals in Decatur, Il, where I was treated like crap and nearly died due to incompetence there. Capstone has been a defining part of our family’s journey during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. Our counselor, Matthew, has been both professional and deeply personal in the way he supports our family. My son connected with him in a way that isn’t easy for teenage boys, and that relationship has made a lasting impact that continues into aftercare. Family Week was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had as a parent. It gave my son a voice and gave me insight into myself that I had never seen before—even after years of therapy. It completely changed how I show up for him. I was also struck by Adrian Hickmon’s leadership and presence. From the moment I walked in and he knew my name and my son, I felt seen. The wisdom he shared—and the time he personally took to answer my questions—was unlike anything I’ve encountered elsewhere. His perspective on focusing on small, steady progress has stayed with me and continues to guide how I support my son. For the first time in years, I see real hope. We are communicating better, growing closer, and moving in the right direction. This journey is far from over, but I trust that God is continuing to work in my son’s life. Our son is currently enrolled at Capstone. It's difficult to put into words how amazing this place is. The level of excellence, from the therapists to the support staff, is second to none. Be advised, they do not mess around. The commitment level they require from the family is high, and for good reason. I've never experienced "tough love" like they put forth. This is a blessed place and we are grateful God led us to Capstone.

Cassie, my counsler is AMAZING! She cares and has my back. Tina is the director and she makes it happen, whatever ‘it’ may be and Neil and the rest of the team are just as amazing. I am being honest about how I feel. I moved from Dallas and the treatment you get here is different to say the least.

I love Natural State Recovery Centers and the people working there. They are so compassionate and the classes are taught by Masters Level Clinicians which is one of the only facilities in Arkansas that does that. The food is great, oh and they have a track and basketball gym...plus goats!

I went here for a few months for help with tapering off of benzos that I had been prescribed for anxiety. I was having a lot of trouble or with withdrawal symptoms and wanted to make sure I was tapering the correct way. I met with Brian a couple times and he was very nice. The only negative I have is he did a drug test on me without disclosing that I would get a bill. Now I have a $180 bill to test for drugs that I was prescribed. It would have been nice if the fact that I would have to pay so much for a drug test was disclosed before taking it, and if I had been given an option to opt out.

I would just like to share my experience about Natural State and the guy Michael who manages the sober living houses. If it was not for him my son would be dead. He told me from the beginning that if my son was willing to go to any lengths to change his life then he would have a chance. I almost enabled my son to his grave by not listening to Michael and taking his suggestions. Today my son has a little over a year sober and is a new person. He also suggested that I go to Alanon meetings which I have been for a year and the relief that I get from these meetings are priceless. My son was making every excuse in the world to me and I was believing him instead of someone who has walked in his shoes. Again thank you Michael and Natural State Recovery.

I completed the 28 day program twice and spent over 90 days total. At first I didn't like it. They were strict and it was kinda of a tough love thing, I'm sure of that. But, I appreciated that tough love, structure, and accountability,because that is what I needed at the time. After I finished the 28 they found me a job that I really enjoyed and provided transportation to and from work . At the N.A. , C.A. and alumni meetings , I came to realize that the people here really do care about me, you, and each other.They want nothing more than to see everyone succeed.They are truly one big family!
