My psychiatrist recommended Suncloud because I was going through a really tough time in my life. I was hesitant because I was at another treatment facility and didn't have a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Suncloud because the staff were all so kind and genuinely cared about helping you. Their process groups can be tough but are so helpful in working through your trauma. It's been a year now since I started treatment and I can confidently say that I learned the skills and created an amazing support group that have helped me be in such a better place. Even after you're out of treatment, they have an awesome alumni group with plenty of opportunities to connect with others that have gone through similar things. I highly recommend Suncloud.

This place turned my life around although some people were there using it as a shelter what they were doing was none of my business at that time because the focus was on me. 3. How does visiting go? If I don’t have an ID, can I be denied entry?

This facility is just amazing! Truly felt like everyone cared about me, and I can honestly say I trusted everyone in there. Trust is very hard for me, but the adult program and the staff allowed me to be myself with no judgement. I'm trying so hard to follow the rules and not name any staff but will give a broad review. Right when you walk in the staff is friendly, always smiling which in turn made me smile. The supervisor is amazing; the head of the counselors who leads the group therapy is one of the best people I ever met. The staff that lead the groups cared about me, and it was genuine, and they are so smart and fun. From the psychiatrist to my therapist everyone was on the same page. I just want to say thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart!

When I first came to Care Addiction Center, I’ll be honest, I arrived pretty much kicking, screaming and non compliant. I was in a very dark place, but what I found was an organization filled with people who truly care from my counslers Alice and Tori, to my fellow Group members . From the moment I walked in, everyone was accepting, kind, and understanding.
Even when circumstances were working against me, like my insurance trying to force me to go elsewhere despite the clear progress I was making, the staff never gave up on me. Matt, who is genuinely dedicated to helping people heal, reassured me not to worry and even offered me a scholarship to continue. His only concern was that I continued to get better.
The compassion and support I experienced at Care made all the difference, and I am deeply grateful. The care addiction center is a Life changing, Life saving orginization.

This was my first attempt at asking for help for my alcoholism
after 5 decades of drinking. This program is excellent , the counselors are the best at explaining our disease and giving us the tools and knowledge to live a life of sobriety. The manager of Care Addiction is always their to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I definitely suggest this program if you are having issues with addiction to drugs or alcohol. They will
sincerely help you and if I can do it there is definite hope for you.
I must add the key to becoming sober is listen to the counselors ,
do what they ask of you and I promise you will be on the road to sobriety! And it is a wonderful feeling and life is awesome!

When I came to Symetria I was fairly depressed about my abuse of alcohol. I knew it wasn’t who I truly was and I needed the help to recognize positive ways to help me identify what I was doing that put me into a downward cycle of binge drinking. Through the Intensive Outpatient program coupled with Individual counseling and attending SMART meetings I discovered a clear path to follow to stop what I was doing and move forward in life without alcohol. I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 4 months completely alcohol free and it feels amazing! The staff at Symetria absolutely cares about each individual’s success and they put the person first. The Staff at Symetria Recovery ( Deborah, Anna , Maria, Elsa , etc..) all treat their patients like family. They are all so Caring, Loving and Supportive. ER doctors saved my husband's life... very, very thankful for all of them. I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. Desde que entré la persona que me recibió y todos los demás del equipo , han sido tan amables que la verdad eso me ayudó mucho a mi recuperación, ya me graduaron con Diploma y ceremonia a los 4 meses, mi problema era el alcohol, creo que era medianamente severo , tomaba 1/4 de litro de alcohol cada noche diario , no fue milagro solamente, también el paciente tiene que estar consciente de que necesita ayuda , y debe ir a sus citas de terapia con A&B para su recuperación, durante el curso te busca un consejero para evaluarte y te toma muestra de orina , para verificar tu compromiso contigo mismo y en adelante lo recomiendo al 100 % es mi segunda casa ahora , ya me gradué pero continúo yendo a las clases de graduados .

I'm happy I decided to continue with treatment PHP at Banyan in Lisle, IL. They provided me the tools and skills to navigate my life in sobriety. All of the staff are wonderful. My main take away from treatment at Banyan is that a lot of the staff can relate and helped with sharing their recovery. My Case Manager Maggie helped with my aftercare plan and transition into sober living. I have grown in every area of my life thanks to Banyan.

SAVING LIVES, 24/7, 365. I never expected in my wildest dreams to discover such a unique and outstanding program in an unassuming building in the suburbs of Chicago. They're genuinely innovative and there's a subtle but real magic to the place. At the end of the day, Lighthouse is a collection of extraordinary people. Most notably, Nate Lanthrum, the founder and clinical director. He's assembled the most passionate, effective and dedicated team imaginable.
For those directly effected by substance abuse including the families and loved ones, you could not be more fortunate to have Lighthouse as a resource at your disposal. In terms of quality, Lighthouse is in a category of its own. It's far better than the best of the best programs I've encountered. It may not have the luxurious offerings of a facility like "Promises" in Malibu but it certainly makes up for the lack superficial luxuries with substance, authenticity and effectiveness 1,000 fold..
Lighthouse offers something money cannot buy; people who for whatever reason care about you and your loved ones. All treatment plans are customized to each individual that walks through the door. It's a fundamentally different approach to the recovery process. It's not a static program either because Nate makes sure to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment methods and he'll incorporate something if it works.
Everyone that works at Lighthouse is of the highest quality and character. The key players off the top of my head are Nate, Dr Steve Holtsford (the "House" Addiction Medicine Expert), Marty who handles intake and paperwork, Dominic (Task Master and human whisperer) and last; the greatest psychotherapist working in the field, Rehna Becker (mother nature's improvement on Carl Jung). I do not have enough superlatives for Nate. He is the best of men. Steve is an emergency room doctor and a brilliant addiction medicine specialist. Marty has to focus on the business side of the operation to ensure the doors stay open. He's an honest guy and hard-working guy doing a thankless and unglamorous job. Dominic fulfills so many roles it's impossible to pigeonhole him but he's a walking blessing. He's much better read than most Nobel laureates, never complains, and will likely be your most consistent point of contact (he's a fixer and a closer, a gentleman and scholar). Rehna is some kind of sorceress. The things she does by intuition cannot be taught. Then there's Emily Mohls who handles psychiatric issues with an ocean of compassion while staying up to the minute with the most revolutionary treatments.
Altogether, this group is the "Seal Team 6" of recovery. As a business and as a treatment facility they exemplify the best of human virtue and character. They treat each person who walks through their doors with the dignity and respect they deserve. You could search the world over for a better team, a more "advanced" or "cutting edge" program, even a different paradigm but as someone who tried everything else, and I do mean EVERYTHING, you won't find it. I have tried several other places for MAT care for substance abuse and I have to say that Dr Steven Holtsford is hands down the absolute best. He treats you like a individual person, not a text book case of addiction. He cares, he listens and he helps you. Sobriety is possible for me! Thank you Dr Holtsford!!!
Dominic and Eva are also very kind and compassionate people that work closely with the Dr. They are there to help you every step of the way. Without you guys I couldn't have made it.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive.
Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities.
I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery.
I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with.
The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for.
I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself.
PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3
