I can't recommend TruHealing enough. If you read negative reviews, take them with a grain of salt—recovery requires rules, and the structure they provide is the reality check most of us desperately need. The absolute best part of the program is the staff. The techs have walked in our shoes (many are alumni of the program), so they truly understand what it takes. A special shoutout to Rodney, Tim, Marquese, Andre, and Eric. They are incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely care about your success. TruHealing will help you get your life back on track and give you the tools you need for your journey afterward.

What can I say im here every six months for routine check-ups. The staff are very friendly, and professional. Sometimes you may experience long wait times when seeing a doctor, however that has rarely happened to me personally. The pharmacy staff are awesome, and very efficient. There is usually minimal to no wait time for prescriptions that have been requested ahead of time, walk in requested prescriptions usually take about 30 mins to fill. There is plenty of seating in every area of the facility, and plenty of sercurity officers to make sure you have a safe and pleasant visit. This facility is wheelchair accessible, kid friendly, and always very clean. Oh also they offer free parking in the garage underneath the building.

I arrived at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt suffering from severe obsessive-compulsive and body dysmorphic disorders. Jon Hershfield and the OCD team provided me with exceptionally skilled treatment so I could return home to a significantly higher-quality, more productive, and happier life. I worked specifically with Jon, Molly, and Rebecca (the entire team is fantastic), and they are without a doubt the most knowledgeable, compassionate, intentional, and collaborative clinicians with whom I have ever worked over the course of my 30+ year journey with OCD. They educated me on my conditions and empowered me to build the skills and tools necessary to live with and effectively manage these chronic illnesses. They worked closely with my psychiatrist and social worker on my care team at the Retreat to create a holistic approach to recovery. They also ensured that I was discharged with a comprehensive plan to execute with my psychologist at home. I highly recommend them and am eternally grateful for their life-changing care.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.
I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys!
The Retreat is a clean, friendly, attentive and professional place to go if you are experiencing mental health problems. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Addiction-related services at Tuerk House include mental health assessments, counseling, detox, residential addiction treatment, out | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I give this place 5 stars no question. From the clean and neat facility to the compassionate and helpful staff there are simply no complaints. They have a really good system at TH where everyone works together no matter what their position is. From the counselors to the peers to the nurses, everyone is on the same page like a well oiled machine. This was imperative to me detoxing from alcohol where lack of clarity and lack of confusion could just simply make my experience harder. Lots of empowering groups were had where it forced you to really reflect on previous and future choices however the counselors arent pushy. If you truly want the help they are open and ready to give it to you. Some additional pluses are the kitchen staff, they make sure you’re well fed which is an important part of recovery. Shoutout to Brittany the peer there, she runs around that facility helping any and every woman she can. I found her to be very helpful to me. Overall, I had a great experience and feel ready to continue to attack this disease, day by day.

Go there to gather yourself and all you have to do is exist. They will literally help you figure out what type of treatment fits you best for when you leave their facility. It’s a very nice environment. You get a room with a roommate and a shower and bathroom. And they food you 3 full meals a day!! And I mean their meals are from a certified chef. Endless Coffee with each meal and a machine like McDonald’s with the fountain drinks but not soda. But strawberry lemonade, sweet tea, mango, orange juice and I think a few more. But I’m telling you it’s a 30 day max place but while your there like I said they will ensure your ready to go to your next recovery place and help you find it and coordinate with them and take you to a visit to see if the next place feels like a good fit. They have places that give u training for certain things, I forgot which ones they offer but trust me it’s an amazing place. Ohh I almost forgot they also offer detox off of benzos, opiates, and alcohol. They may offer more. Just call and speak with them and ask questions about their services. There’s a lady that speaks Spanish for people that need to go that can’t speak English but are still in need of help. No insurance required. Just the ability to want to become sober.

I had been in several other programs that never provided a solid foundation for me to do well. I now have almost 7yrs sober without relapse because of the tools I gained from Misha house. Several people I met while there also have many years clean. This would be the only program I can give credit to for my sobriety. Monica is an amazing woman that truly understands what it takes to assist addicts in their recovery. The structure and bonds built there along with accountability for poor choices were essential for me personally.

Baltimore is the 220th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $55002. This is comparable to the average cost of $56783 for addiction treatment in Maryland and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Baltimore vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Baltimore. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Baltimore that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Baltimore.
Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Baltimore, with 26 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Cigna is the 2nd most popular with 25 treatment centers accepting it followed by Blue Cross Blue Shield in 3rd accepted by 24 drug rehabs.
Baltimore has the 378th highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Baltimore county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Baltimore or Baltimore county as a whole.
In 2023, Baltimore had the 329th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 5 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Baltimore. All values are per 100,000 population.
