What can I say.. Roaring Brook Recovery has been absolutely instrumental in my journey. This facility and the people in its employ are extraordinarily top notch. I’m not sure what else to say. The staff here including the entire treatment team, has taken a personal interest in my development in a way that no other organization ever has. The services here are outstanding, and the curriculum is second to none. It’s rare that you find an organization that LIVES & BREATHES its mission statement, in every single thing that they do. After years of struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder, I now feel more free than ever, and best of all, I have the skills, knowledge, and positive habits to STAY free. A very special thank you to Allison for helping pair me with the best possible program for my SPECIFIC NEEDS; Hacky for making sure I was brought into Roaring Brook with dignity, care, encouragement, and for always being a positive force and a smiling face; Keith for being the best peer support anyone could ask for; Kara the case manager for taking a genuine interest in helping me jump hurdles that I couldn’t jump alone; Hillary for paying attention to my needs and helping tailor my program in a way that’s both best for me and sustainable, and for regularly using my input to affirm these choices; and my therapist Jarrod, who is a psychological wizard and is by for the best mental health and wellness practitioner I have ever encountered. This is my second time at Roaring Brook, and honestly, when I relapsed after two years of sobriety, I refused to go anywhere else. I’m from Michigan, so choosing to come all the way back to Kentucky says a lot about how much I trust this place and the people here. I knew that if I was going to get serious about my recovery again, Roaring Brook was where I wanted to be. Coming back a second time has only reinforced how grateful I am for this program. Relapse was incredibly difficult for me to accept after having two years of sobriety, but Roaring Brook gave me a place where I could be honest about where I was at, work through what happened, and actually focus on rebuilding my recovery instead of feeling judged for it. This time around, I was also able to participate in TRP (Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program), and it has made such a huge difference in my recovery. TRP has given me the opportunity to work through traumas that I hadn’t fully dealt with and understand how those experiences have affected me and my recovery. I’ve also learned actual coping skills that I can use when things get difficult instead of turning back to old behaviors. It has been a really important part of my healing and has helped me understand myself on a much deeper level. My experience with my therapist, Jarrod, has been one of the biggest reasons I’ve gotten so much out of treatment. He is genuinely one of the smartest and most thorough therapists I’ve ever worked with. He doesn’t just listen to respond — he really takes the time to understand what I’m saying, asks questions that make me think, and helps me connect the dots in ways I wouldn’t have been able to on my own. I’ve learned so much from working with him, and I’m incredibly grateful for the work he’s done with me. I’m also incredibly grateful for Alison, who manages the sober living I’m in. She is absolutely amazing. She genuinely cares about the people in the house and goes above and beyond to make sure we have the support, structure, and accountability we need. Having that continued support outside of treatment has made a huge difference for me. What stands out most about Roaring Brook is that I never feel like I’m just another person going through a program. There are people here who genuinely care about my recovery and want to see me succeed. Being willing to travel from Michigan back to Kentucky for treatment, especially after a relapse, was a huge decision, but I know I made the right one. I’ll always be grateful that Roaring Brook was there for me not only the first time I got sober, but also when I needed help finding my way back. Recovery isn’t always a straight line, and I’m thankful to have found a place where I can keep growing, healing, learning, and becoming a better version of myself. I truly wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

The schwartz center was the second treatment center that I've been to, and despite some of the negative reviews here, I found it to be nothing but love. All of the staff really cares about you and your recovery, like all rehabs there are some. Rules and structure that not all clients will agree with. But it's just how it goes, they are very simple. Rules. They feed you well while there too. And the case manager is amazing, she helped me out big time with some court stuff that I was dealing with. It's also a smaller more intimate setting. Not one of these massive rehabs where you can't learn anything or get individualized treatment from a therapist. Definitely recommend the team at Schwartz if you're wanting to better your life

I have never been more grateful for a program, such as this. I came into y’all‘s program October 2024 and I graduated March 2025 I signed up to continue aftercare and go to serenity. I done what was needed to continue my care and I moved into the apartment October of this year. You guys had gave me the tools that I have needed to be able to succeed in my recovery. Because of you guys, I have custody of my son and I am mending relationships with My Other three kids . I was so stressed about Christmas as my son was picked by Angel Tree and I only got one present and I didn’t have the money to be able to provide for My Other three. And last minute you guys came through with more than what I needed. I am so grateful for you guys if you are struggling and you want custody of your children this is the place to go. They have awesome staff members and therapists, and I believe in my heart if I would’ve went anywhere else things wouldn’t have turned out the way they have for me today and today I’m stable. I am in my own home with my son. I have a job and I’m learning to live like a normal human being.

Ive been going here for a while and Ive seen a lot of changes over the years but recently things just feel so much better. Most of the staff is new which is a really good thing. I can tell they actually care about me and its not just a job for them. There for a while they had me talking to people on a computer which yeh that did kinda suck not to be able to talk to someone in person, but now they have people in person that I get to talk to. I really enjoy that. I think they still have some on the computer but I think its just on certain days. The groups are really fun too and Im learning more about myself then I used to. Bottom line is if u wanna go somewhere where people care about you and will help you get the help that you are ready to get then go here. I will keep going back because I want to keep growing in my recovery and the people there now will help you with that. Thanks Spero

I am in the IOP program and and have less than two weeks left. I also live in one of their transitional homes. I am so grateful for the structure they provide in my journey after completing a residential program.. Their morning meditations (led by our peer support😁 ) started each day with inspiration and our IOP classes (ran by our therapist, Ms. Jenni 💕) unpacks meaning, significance, and practical applications that I needed in order to cultivate new behaviors that has strengthened me to have the confidence to stay sober. I am so grateful for God putting these people in my life! Honestly, this place genuinely did help me quite a bit, the only problems I had was they were never able to get my sleeping meds and didn’t tell me until day 4 of them being there. The place is very clean and a good place however they are unfortunately very under staffed that lead to many complications especially with techs, they also do not allow outside time without people smoking which could be troublesome for some adults in the unit. Overall a good place.

The doctors, nurses, and staff are truly caring, compassionate, and make patient care their top priority. The Medication Assisted Treatment (MRT) program at 2nd Chance is hassle-free, convenient and completely intuitive for new patients to navigate. My only complaint here is that I wish I could rate 10 stars versus 5. This is the best place everyone treats me like family and it’s saved my life I never thought I would say that I used to use every excuse in the world has to good night get on maintenance I would say I was allergic etc.. It’s definitely saved my life and I’m grateful I’m grateful for all the doctors they take their time if you need them to answer anything you ask them the staff are absolutely wonderful. They go above and beyond I’ve had to reschedule appointments and they’re very helpful when it comes to that just a great place I would definitely suggest it to anyone and do and I would give him more than five stars. If I could try it, you might like it.

Our experience at Bluegrass Was one of the most remarkable things we have experienced. They have an entire staff that is joyful, kind, caring, and Attentive. Never once did we see anyone without a smile on their face. They treat all their short-term patients and long-term patients with such respect, dignity, And genuine care. Their physical therapists Are better than anywhere I have ever seen. My dad spent three weeks there and came home stronger than ever. He loved every minute of being there. I felt so comfortable knowing what good care he was receiving. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful these people are!

I have been a patient here for over five years. The first suboxone doctor that not only treated me as a whole but also understood the disease of addiction. Heidi is the ring leader and she is by far the most amazing doctor I have ever had! From the crystals on her window ledge to the huge REAL tree in her office you know immediately Heidi is down to earth while at the same time being held to a higher calling. Staff, where do i even start. Heidi's staff for the most part has been with her for years and they are all amazing in their own ways. Just a heads up.This is NOT AA or N/A. Or anything like it. Stephanie and Emily are a dynamic duo for the Bluegrass. I gained more clarity in this small unique class then I ever had in N/A or AA. This is a REAL sober living. If you want to be sober and help restricting your life so you can live independently and successfully.... Look no further. I have experience with allot of local so called "sober livings" and almost all of them were beyond frustrating.
