Resada is a great way to start your path to recovery I personally love it here, remember know matter where you go what you put in is what you get out. This rehab has an amazing way to make you feel better about finding yourself again. If you're going to complain about the things that you can't do there then you're there for all the wrong reasons. Remember you're there to work on you and learn ways to overcome what our addiction throws at us. Be 💯 and you'll get 💯. I came across some of the most recent reviews today as I was looking up the website for contact information.
I wanted to post a review that is five stars because that is exactly what Fort Lyon deserves, not because it has five star amenities or because it is perfect, but because without this place I would probably be dead. I was a resident for nine months in 2023. I was in a hopeless state of mind, body, and spirit. After losing my professional career and everything else, I found myself moving here. Fort Lyon is a place where you can live safely, and focus on true recovery and healing. If that is what you want. To be completely transparent, most negative comments are from people who are not ready for what it takes to turn your life around. It is not fun and you don't normally get your way, but I learned that is LIFE. I gained back ALL I had lost and so much more. Thanks to God ultimately, but also to this place and a program I work everyday. I am now over three years sober from all substances, and if you knew my entire story you would agree it is a miracle. Fort Lyon does not hand you recovery, but it provides all the tools you need to get it for yourself. Much thanks to all the staff, especially Sabrina, Tosha, Laura, Randy, and Lisa T.

Going in I was skeptical. The VA gets a bad rap. After getting the physical and paperwork the nurse came to the waiting room, sat down and explained the results. My private doctor does not do this. Appointments made and taken care of in a very timely manor. I was pretty impressed with the VA and this location.

Not perfect, but its clean and medical appointments are easy to come by. Mental health is a little harder to get the apts you want, but they're always available by phone. Small, but very clean and staff is extremely nice.

My son has been a client for several years now. His first mentor, which he only had for a summer, he connected with immediately and made great progress with. Then they switched his mentor.
They changed clinic policy and my son for a period was in both group therapy in office, individual therapy at a private office outside of this clinic, and in this mentoring program. Then they changed policy again and he was kicked from the group therapy just as he was beginning to make progress with the group and they restructured again and changed his mentor. He did not connect with this new mentor. This new mentor was always more worried about personal problems and keeping their job than mentoring my son and could not keep personal and professional life separate.
Speaking with Rick, the owner of State of Grace, is impossible. He will schedule appointments late and then not show up to them. He will schedule appointments during the day and make you wait an hour past them during the day. And during your appointments he will speak over you and give you no space to talk. I have been trying to ask questions about this clinic, its structure, and policies and just keep being told “they care for the kids” and “Rick cares for the kids”. There is no communication of substance. I have been given “Rick’s direct number” since he last missed the meeting he scheduled, and has not been returning calls he told his office staff he has been making, and it was the line to the main office.
To keep this brief and personal details to a minimum - the issues are enough to file a complaint with the state and request an investigation by my insurance company for fraud. I wish I had done so sooner and been less patient.

I have had an amazing experience at Peer House in La Junta! I love the interaction and help that they provide. She is Wonderful. Very empathic, compassionate and such a good listener.
I know I haven't been easy to deal with. I'm not having an easy time dealing with me and everything around me.. but Katelynn is helping me.
For everyone that I've encountered there, they have been so very nice to me. Even when I wasn't being so nice to be around.
For me, this place, Enrique, Katelynn and the rest of the people I've encountered, has been a Godsend.

The worst place ever! the facility is always dirty and no one is responsible for keeping it clean. The staff is so unorganized I feel that they have violated my rights and during all my stay here I can't see any therapist, the program is unstructured.

When I first came to Peaks, I was broken, depressed, hopeless, and completely lost. I truly didn’t believe things could get better. But my experience at Peaks changed my life in ways I never could’ve imagined.
From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by a community of supportive, caring people who genuinely wanted to see me grow. I built friendships and connections that will last a lifetime, with people who stood by me through every high and low of my recovery journey.
The groups and therapists were absolutely incredible, I learned more here than I ever have in any other program. The structure at Peaks helped me build consistency, confidence, and real progress. The staff went above and beyond every single day, they truly cared about us as people, not just clients.
Even the food was amazing (shoutout to the chefs, you made every meal feel special!). The activities were another huge part of my healing, basketball, pickleball, volleyball courts right on property, yoga, art supplies, gym equipment, hikes twice a week, church, Recovery Dharma, and so much more. There was always something positive and grounding to be a part of.
I am endlessly grateful for my time at Peaks Recovery. This program gave me my life back and gave me the tools, support, and hope I needed to keep moving forward. Thank you to everyone who made my experience so meaningful and life-changing. ❤️

I truly couldn’t say a negative thing about Sandstone Care in Denver; they are amazing. I was in one of the lowest points of my life when I reached out to Sandstone admissions and even then, I received the best care right off the bat. My admissions coordinator, (Kevin Clark) was incredibly helpful and informative and even mentioned some of his own story to make me feel more comfortable and confident in starting this new journey in my life. I started the program in their PHP group and I first noticed that it felt different from the other treatment facilities I had ever been to. I felt comfortable, accepted, and safe. It was a new, but warm feeling. In the PHP group, I learned several /new/ ways of looking at the different issues I was going through. It didn’t feel like anyone was blaming me, but more like “these are things I am struggling with; okay, what can I do to make them feel less awful?” This is something that made Sandstone different for me - they actually helped me, as the individual, build new foundations and discover my values in life. After I finished up their PHP program, I stepped down to IOP and from there, I felt like a new person. I noticed that my self-esteem was growing and that when I was going through my lower moments of time, I could actually recognize what was happening and control the situation. Now this was huge considering I have been struggling with Anxiety/Major Depressive disorder since 5th grade. I could not figure out the words to describe the weight lifted off of my chest after completing my time at Sandstone Care. For anyone considering treatment for yourself or a loved one here, I would seriously recommend it. I was hesitant at first because of the question, “what if it’s just like every other mental health facility?” It’s not and I will die on that hill. During my time at Sandstone, I worked closely with the lead therapist, Sam, the program director, Mike, and the family therapist, Elliot. Each of these individuals made such a huge impact on my mental health journey and I am just so grateful for them. They really do make a difference.

This is the best place for whatever you have going on in your life. I am on supervision and use them for my classes, one on ones, and testing. The staff is super nice and helpful. They go above and beyond with extra case management services and even helped with my resume. They will know you by first name and stay in touch when it counts. They have a bunch of online sessions available too if you can’t drive or need to meet with someone remotely. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

I’ve checked into Sandstone a few times (😬🫣), most recently in August of this year, so it’s about time I left a review. I am very familiar with their program, I know most of the staff, and they know me 😅. I always recommend Sandstone to anyone who needs inpatient care. The team of staff, has always treated me with kindness there. It has meant the world to me, as they’ve seen me in some of my lowest moment's. They are patient, caring and competent. The facilities are nice, with TVs in the rooms and an outdoor space with a basketball hoop. There is always an abundance of snacks, Gatorade and Ginger Ale while you’re detoxing.
The environment is very homey and the small size allows for great individual care, unlike some other facilities where you get lost in the crowd.
I’m so grateful for this place and the people inside it ♥️ If you need the help, you’re in great hands at Sandstone.

I had went to shadow mountain a few years back, and they have really helped me change my life for the better. I went in anxious and insecure, and everyone here (including Randal and Richard, and a lot more staff I can’t remember the name of) had lifted me up and supported me in ways I’ve never experienced in other facilities. Randal had helped me become more confident in myself while Richard had helped me understand my relationship with life and god deeper, and they gave me the opportunity to go forward to another sober living out in Huntington Beach, which has all lead to me coming up on 2 years sober this months, a finance I love, and a life that I feel like I’m thriving in. Shadow mountain was a fundamental part of my life changing from relentless drug abuse and hurting myself and others around me, to growth in myself and a life where I have value and purpose. I definitely recommend shadow mountain to anyone who is serious about overcoming their addiction and changing their life. Thank you all!!

This is an exceptional treatment experience for addiction. The staff, led by the amazing Randall Staton, is extraordinary; many professionals passionate about helping people like me. The facility itself is nestled in Shadow Mountain and it is well maintained and very comfortable. The mountain itself is a very spiritual place. It has a lot of power and one can feel it just by being there. If you or a loved one needs help with addiction, I highly recommend Shadow Mountain Recovery in Taos, New Mexico. It's one of a kind and truly effective.

Completely open to every race in fact Jesus Garcia was part of the furniture for decades a great man. Don't go anywhere else..no one cares more..anyone that would complain about this place really hadn't experienced other counseling places. Nice and clean facility, happy people and a good place to meet friends! Can't beat it. It's the best place on earth open for 30 years and they never get tired of helping. They accept Medicaid and payments. It's great and they don't state when they take urine tests. Got to love them!

My therapist took 2 years to report activity I had been telling her about all along. My employment specialist wants to use ChatGPT for every conversation and anything that is written. She is also avoiding helping me with handling being wrongfully terminated from my job. I was definitely discriminated against and it was retaliation. She'd rather I move on to another job. Not helpful. Good therapists are leaving Diversus enough that it makes it difficult to establish any sort of trust with a therapist. Their staff is overworked and underpaid and half the time I feel like I'm the therapist. I've been with them ever since they bought out Aspenpoint. They are government funded and the finding is now in Denver. Colorado Springs has very little resources and the ones we have are abysmal.

From John Aicher the director of operations, to Kim who did my intake, to all the BHP's/facilitators and staff (Austin, Heather, Katrina, Val, Larry, Roxanne, Raya, Raelee, Esther, Nina, Elizabeth, Coach Al, Cro) the nurses (Ricky, Dillon, Ayana, Shay, Lala) the kitchen staff (Phil, Don, Steve) to my case manager (Roxie) my therapist (Jason), my hiking homies (Eddie & Rob) and Theresa (mamacita!) for all of their help and positivity during my time there. I truly made life long friends during my time there, and found a brand new outlook on life. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility if you are looking for help. You will not be disappointed I promise. I attended a 30-day residential program at Mountain Springs, it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was phenomenal. I learned a lot in the groups. The counselors and facilitators did a fantastic job.

I attended Mountain Springs Recovery from April to July and it was truly a life changing experience. I first want to say that one of the things I learned from MSR from the Counselors, is that everyone attempting or going through Substance Use Disorders is going through their own individual part of their journey. My point is that not everyone's circumstances are the same and you will get as much out of it as much as you put into it. Do you really WANT to get better? For me, I did. I had the mindset that I did not want my life to be defined by my addiction, so I went into MSR with an open mind and willing to be Open, Honest and Transparent. I didn't care what others thought, I needed to answer the question...why do I feel like I need alcohol to fill this empty space in me...and more importantly, what is the root of that empty space. The staff, counselors, and administrators provided every opportunity and the tools I needed to answer that question. Not everything applied to my specific issues, I had to listen carefully and be honest about myself that, 'wow, that hits home with me', or 'I definitely need to work on this or that'. In my opinion, the counselors cannot possibly know every reason why clients are there, they can only provide the tools, based on actual research, and hope that each client grabs on to what is pulling at them to get better. In my opinion, the counselors aren't there to 'fix you', you are there to try and figure out why you are there based on your individual life experiences and reasons for Substance Use. My advice is to be open, honest and transparent with yourself and approach your time there as your time to focus. During my time at MSR I was able to identify the root of that emptiness in me and that was huge. Just finding what I couldn't figure out myself over the course of my life was priceless to me. I now have the reason, the tools, motivation and confidence to be proud of my sobriety. I have been sober now 8 months, but continue to work on my maintenance of sobriety by voluntarily going into Intensive Outpatient Treatment immediately after MSR and I am still in it today. I give my highest recommendation to Mountain Springs Recovery and the tools they gave me to maintain sobriety.

i would like to clarify that my mom lied she has a review on here that praises yall. DO NOT GO HERE. this place is sick the way everyone gets treated is sick. very few nurses that were so lovely and sweet but the owners not so much. the ONLY good thing about this place is food. they do not care about your child. also notice the reviews with 5 stars are the parents and not patients and also notice how they only respond to good ratings and not crappy ones.

I don’t even know where to start I was there for 5 months I got out on July 5th 2024 and they brainwashed my mom into thinking that Tammi changed me I used to look up to Tammi and then she made me cry on multiple occasions threaten to kick me out even if my mom was busy and Tammi said she didn’t care if she was busy in a different state she would kick me out and then I got kicked out because I ended up hitting a staff on accident and they told my mom I got in a middle of a fight with two different clients when it was a girl coming at me and she came at me twice to the point where clients had to hold her back and when I tried to hit her I hit a staff and then the girl that hit me proceeded to hit BOTH staffs and then Tammi Smith talks to her to hear her side of the story but refuses to hear mine this place made me better at times but worse at the same time my mom believe that they changed me but in all reality god is the one who charged me not them if anything they hurt me they staff are amazing there though they really helped me and Julez was a good person that helped me but Tammi is a manipulative person who takes advantage of her clients

First time at a VA clinic since I separated in September. It is a nice facility that is clean and well taken care of. All of the staff that I encountered from the pharmacy, lab and front desk were all really nice and informative considering I just separated. I will say, I was confused by the kiosk next to the pharmacy. I grabbed a ticket and waited then realized that it was for registration and not the pharmacy. Just kind of misleading being right next to check in. That and wasn’t aware they only dispense a few weeks of meds then mail your full requested prescription. Definitely a different process than MTF’s. Overall, good experience though.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience with this clinic, not a good look since this was my first psychiatry clinic I went to. They gave me meds that made my mental health worse, they did this for years. I had stopped some meds but kept others, I had genuinely used some of the meds for anxiety but they were not really for anxiety, when I told people about the medications in question.
I had been here for a while, back when I was figuring out my mental health. I cried the first time I went in and I should've noticed something was up from the get go.
I ended up having to be told by some people that I'm taking meds I do not even need, specifically around in 2024. I stopped taking them up until I got super stressed that I had to. Then I realized just how bad the meds affected me in 2025 when I was on vacation and I ruined many events because these medications were affecting my mood and enjoyment of events and my life. They did alleviate my anxiety but at the cost of my genuine enjoyment for my hobbies and work life.
After doing research on the meds as well as talking to my doctor and other people about it. I realized I was being scammed and decided to stop seeing them, please do not consider this place, find somewhere else. Never again. I am glad two of the drs I had left.

I am not a client here however my friend is and all I can say is a psychiatry place should not be making their clients cry. I work in a place with customer service and none of my coworkers would ever treat customers the way the person on the phone treated my friend. Very unprofessional.
