Best place to go to class in town! Comfortable chairs, nice big meeting table with lots of elbow room. The counselors are awesome! They make it fun to be there and easy to learn! Thanks guys!

Each experience I’ve had at this location has been worth praising. The Rec Therapy crew is awesome! And special thanks to Dr. Harmon for completely transforming my life.

Nice place

I’m sure that people can find fault with any agency, especially in a the critical area of mental health. People are bound to run across situations where decisions don’t go their way, and then blame and finger pointing follow. I can say this from my personal experience: the owner, Marty Amos, has a true heart for the down and out. She has done evrything she can to make mental health services available and affordable. Comments that she abuses this are the result of either misinformation or dissatisfied clients. Many of these are people who ask or demand that Amos Counseling and its staff provide services that they cannot do. Amos staff are held to a strict ethical code, and going beyond that has severe consequences. And then there are the ridiculous comments like “Amos Counseling bills people to use the bathroom.” Really? The truth is that they go out of their way so clients get help with little or no out of pocket expenses. Then there are the comments about how rude the staff are. Since I have never experienced this (the staff have always been exceptionally kind and caring to me), I have to ask, “If you were treated rudely, how rude were you being beforehand?” Let’s look at the facts: food for the community is kept at the office, establishing a hangout and shelter for the needy and homeless, several homes to treat those recovering from addiction and giving them a place to live, an annual Christmas program to provide gift packages to needy families. I could go on and on. If you are against these things, I don’t know what to say. No one is perfect, but I give Amos a 5.0 rating for their heart.

Got case management and coaching support from Amos recently and they are so supportive and compassionate. They support my journey towards recovery. This place truly saved a life and provided tools to build a life beyond all expectations. Their professionalism and kindness is appreciated. Seems like since it turned into Axis I have had a much harder time getting appointments etc. I recently went in the office to update some info and thank God there was a new receptionist. The last one gave me so much anxiety I avoided her. Not good for a mental health clinic. I would have been happier checking in online than deal with her. Sadly though I had been put on a waiting list a couple months ago for a therapist. Although I have been patient over two years. And then found out there was actually in person appointment available yet no one contacted me. I hope to see improvements continue. I'm grateful for what ever helps I get, but another thing since Axis took over is the emphasis on payment. I can't get an appointment with the therapist now until I get on sliding fee.

Excellent resource for this community, with wonderful care! The staff cares about the patients and will do everything they can to help each one of them. I felt comfortable reaching out to them for help, I went through their counseling and medication management. I never felt rushed or disregarded when speaking with the staff about my concerns for their treatment, they were really open about it.

This place is incredible! I had ACL reconstruction and two meniscus repairs in early June. I’ve been working with Andrea since I started at MVT and she’s a real gem. Friendly, informative, encouraging and easy to follow. The front desk has also been super kind and you can tell the people working here really care about their patients. Excited to see my progress over the next few months, I’m optimistic and inspired all thanks to the MVT- Ridgway team!

Unfortunately, this year I got to experience the tearing of the ACL. To say I was devastated would be an understatement, but when I started physical therapy at this location really gave me hope in a full recovery. Cheryl at the front desk took time out of her day to clearly explain how my insurance works in this specific situation and how the deductible works and what my insurance will cover and what I should budget out for out of pocket cost instead of just breezing over it. This being my first time having a serious injury, I do need all the help I can get navigating the complex health insurance plans. My physical therapist, Sarah, has been absolutely amazing and continues to go above and beyond to ensure that I have a full recovery. She is allways positive and makes the PT sessions an enjoyable experience. All the staff at this location are extremely positive, uplifting and really do their best to answer all your questions. I honestly look forward to my PT appointments because all the people there are so wonderful and an absolute joy to work with!!!

Kind and helpful staff

The Glenwood staff and my doctor were awesome!!!! I have seen so many nasty reviews but my 15 visits in the last 6 months, I have seen only people that are polite, professional and on top of their game. From the front desk to my intake coordinator, I was impressed. Then assigned Dr. Katie Hundertmark couldn't have been more helpful. Felt very lucky! MJ Horn was also great and very knowledgeable. She got some tricky things done for me. Bad news and negative reviews always travels 10 times faster and farther. This is coming from someone that was in medical field for 14 years. Thank you Mind Springs!!!!!! :)
