I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. My journey of grief will be with me for the rest of my life, I do have a life and owe it to myself and those i care about to live it. I don’t have enough words to express how much The Refuge has helped me. After frequenting through over a dozen mental health treatment centers and rehabs, there are only two I would recommend to someone I cared about (or anyone in general). One of those two is The Refuge. I was met there with so much kindness, care and consideration of my wants and needs by every single one of the BHA’s (behavioral health associates) and every one of the Clinical Staff. My personal team consisted of Ellen Mendez, case manager and Caitlin Downer, therapist, and couldn’t have gotten luckier with them. Although Caitlin is leaving the facility because of her physical move, there isn’t one therapist there I have a bad thing to say about and that doesn’t put their all into each clients treatment. Shelley, the clinical director does a great job at managing the program and creating ideal schedules for the clients. She is necessarily stern in order to keep everyone (facilitators included) and the program in check, but cares immensely for all her clients. Everyone there made me feel comfortable and cared for. I could not be happier with my experience there and am forever grateful to The Refuge for all the help I received.

i came here back in beginning of august, it was my very first time being bakeracted so i didn’t really know what to expect but i was a bit scared. i ended up really liking this hospital for my first time, i felt pretty safe. they don’t force you to do any activities if you don’t want to although it helps them check for progress for yourself. if you wanted to rest in or nap at any time you could as well, which is what i also liked about it. i just feel like anyone struggling with mental health, shouldn’t have to be forced to do stuff if they’re not feeling it, but slowly getting into it when they’re ready. this place overall was very good to me and i appreciate them for everything

2023 is gone! And now I can go into 2024 with a new attitude and a new life mostly thankful for Perspectives 2. I made some dumb decisions last year that I ended up paying the price for. I consider myself smart and well educated but when alcohol does your thinking its a games changer. I ended up in jail with a DUI and court ordered treatment. The blessing in disguise was the court ordered treatement. I went 12 weeks to group thearpy at Perspectives. I was reluctant and not excited about going until I got there. All of us were in the same boat....nervous, shamed, scared about facing the consequences of our poor decisions. Perspectives group sessions were awesome and extremely helpful. They gave you practical suggestions to help with your addictions and how to deal with the pain you caused others and yourself. The staff that ran these sessions were incredible mainly because they truly cared! It was not a job to them but they had compassion for what your were going through in fact most of them faced similiar situations. I "had" to go to these treatments but would easily have volunterred to go after seeing what they had to offer. Great discussions with a staff that emplified compassion to every one in the class. When you know you messed up and are already down on yourself it is comforting to know folks at Perspectives 2 was there to listen, suggest and most of all show they really cared about your well being and getting you on the right track. They continue to follow up with me a year later! Jamie is awesome in her care and concern....Kudos to her and her staff. Thank you Perspectives 2 for showing honest concern and compassion!

This place is wonderful, they were treating pregnant woman back 2015 when myself an others felt we had no hope, NO ONE would touch us. They live & breathe recovery. They're local to the area, An yes a smaller office but don't lack in the resources to help you and the actual drive to do so! An if Dr.Logan doesn't have a book out by now...he should consider doing so! He's one of the most knowledgeable in the state regarding M.A.T-Outpatient Treatment. They accept most insurances (yes, including Medicaid) So don't wait till tmro (again) like I did. Call them!

I had a gentleman come into my job and very kindly ask if my coworkers and I would be interested in buying some baked goods to help support the rehab center. I bought a raspberry cheesecake and chit chatted about living in FL with him, he was very friendly and the cheesecake was great for a good price. I believe his name was Robert. I’ll definitely buy again if he comes back :)

I bought a Reese pound cake and plain cheesecake from a guy that came to my store today in Donalsonville, ga. And told me exactly what facility it was for. I didn’t even know a place like this existed but I’m glad it does. It’s gives them something to do with their time and be able to go out and sell what they make. I severed at total freedom for many year. I know I'm still alive today because of this program and Ministry I learned how to have a personal relationship with god through Christ Jesus. Though my walk has not been perfect my road has been paved with His grace and I can say that because of this place my life is different. I still deal with daily fights but at least I'm in the fight no longer a casualty of the war. Though this place is not easy it's solid, it's real, and it's truth.!!!

I was searching for a local psychologist who offers psychological assessments and accepts major insurance, and I am so thankful that I found Neurogenesis Center of Florida. My evaluation clarified my concerns related to my anxiety and attention, and the whole experience was explained thoroughly. After testing, I started Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Neurofeedback training. My provider is personable, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. The whole staff is professional and quick to respond. Starting at this practice has been nothing but wonderful, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a qualified and compassionate care team in Central Florida.

A truly holistic and healing experience. I’ve received therapy, a psychological evaluation, and participated in neurofeedback all under one roof. What really stood out was their unique offering of equine-assisted psychotherapy. The connection with the horses brought out parts of me I hadn’t accessed in traditional talk therapy. I've been in recovery for 5 months and 9 days now and i can't even begin to express my gratitude towards Center for Discovery and my overall treatment from all staff, therapists, dietitians, etc. Everyone i've met in the past 5 months has genuinely changed my life. Going to Center for Discovery in Monteverde was the best decision my mom and I have ever made, they saved my life. I'll keep it real, these bad reviews did scare me too, but I couldn't stress enough that the people who wrote them are probably struggling themselves and can't bring themselves to see the good in this place. Obviously, recovery is hard and it takes time to accept that. Yes, sometimes it can be hard and you'll have to do things that you never thought you'd do like be in a house with 7 other strangers who are also struggling but in the end it really is worth it. I mean this in the most genuine way, this place has changed the way I see things and I couldn't be more thankful. I'm happy waking up every morning in my body and i've learned to appreciate it and overcome things I never thought i'd overcome. I love my treatment team and everyone i've met along the way.
