I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. My journey of grief will be with me for the rest of my life, I do have a life and owe it to myself and those i care about to live it. My experience at Umatilla TRV was mixed, but one person who genuinely stood out to me was Chris Fields, the Financial Manager. Chris was one of the best advocates for clients that I encountered. He was patient, understanding, and willing to actually listen and help when I had concerns. He made an effort to explain things clearly and treated me with respect, which made a real difference during a difficult time. I truly appreciate the way Chris advocates for clients and goes beyond simply doing his job. His compassion, professionalism, and willingness to help definitely deserve recognition. Overall, I’m giving my experience 4.5 stars, with Chris being a major reason for that rating.

I recently completed the 8-week IOP program at Orlando Outpatient Center, and I truly enjoyed my experience. This place was an absolute God-send and saved my life. From the very start the place with its great employees at every part of the facility were compassionate and caring and made sure that my needs were met. My initial therapist Ashlee was absolutely amazing and helped me through major life crises that were occurring at the moment between my Mental Illnesses and Alcoholism. During this time I was able to reconnect with my loving parents and become a contributing member to the family as its only child. During the outpatient process, IOP Therapy I met with Dylan Martin And Martin Hawk - Both of these extremely qualified therapists worked out some very complex issues that still remained inside of me and the outpatient setting of being at home with my parents helped solidify our family and teach them about my Mental Illnesses and Alcoholism. I highly recommend any level of care from ORC Recovery to anyone that is dealing with ANY sort of crisis at the moment - don't sit in the dark with problems, make sure to seek help and help will find you. Thank you very much ORC. May you continue to serve the Orlando Area with Honor and Dignity.

I love Harmony Hills. If you are looking for a place to get fully recovered and finally be free of your addictions and mental health issues, you are looking in the right direction and there is hope for you. The teachers are amazing here and will teach you so much if you’re open and honest with your true self and ready and willing to hear. Your recovery depends on you here but Harmony Hills gives you the tools you need to thrive and get better. There is opportunity here if you’ll take it. It’s not luxury but the view is beautiful and everyone is so nice and welcoming always and it makes up for it. Here they realIy treat you like family. I cannot say enough good things about Mrs Amber, my therapist and Mrs Mary the teacher. You can learn a lot from them and if you have the chance to request Mrs Amber, do so. I came with no good ideas regarding coping skills or how to cope with difficult situations and now I’m leaving with a list of ways.

Getting treatment for PTSD and Trauma is hard to admit to. Going there and being traumatized by outside family members while I was suppose to be healing made the experience even more difficult. My complaints about The Refuge relate to employees clearly not train to care for patients struggling with disorders in mental health. I had a cardiac episode that was barely addressed and if I was lucky, I could see a medical provider once a week even though I understand vitals and voiced for 2 weeks something was wrong. The nurses held an "I know more than you mentality" despite me treating them with patience and respect and having experience in the medical field. The only reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because the therapist themselves and the CEO took my concerns seriously and genuinely cared about healing those who took the program seriously. It kind of seemed like each therapist held a specific personality so clients could learn to both tolerate different personality types, and not let those personalities that they were not compatible with cause them to spiral. Don't get me wrong, there were some therapists and staff members I dreaded dealing with. I quickly realized that if I wanted the program to work and chose to make the sacrifice of prioritizing my healing process. I faced the struggles of being away from my children and having attacks from my closest relatives attempting to sabotage my treatment. The clients there provided support and understanding in a safe environment where I likely would have given up if I wasn't there. I quickly realized that respect towards the staff and accountability to use the tools taught to me was the only way to heal. Sitting around complaining like other clients and expecting to be catered to by complaining about the services would get you no where. I reached a limit with my own therapist but when I started unwrapping buried memories from my childhood, my safe person became Shelley (clinical director) and Stephanie (CEO). You can tell Shelley lives for helping those struggling and Stephanie set the example of leadership that is rare to find these days. Her undercover boss personality to correct the wrongs/complaints about The Refuge often left me wondering when this woman ever went home. The only complaint I submitted pertained to a case manager and Stephanie was immediately on it, as was Shelley. Both made me feel heard when I previously had the habit of shutting down. I left The Refuge feeling like I was worthy of love and being able to love myself. Where I previously protected others, I gained the confidence and tools to protect myself. I never knew trauma was something that could be worked through. I'd always thought it was something I had to carry my whole life and learn to live with. Every business in the world has it's flaws but if you apply yourself while waiting for answers or assistance from therapist and staff members juggling a number of patients, you will progress and leave with something. I left stronger and feeling like a leader. I learned to never judge anyone and even people with a record or past deserve love and grace. People there are seeking help to change and not repeat patterns and I give the utmost respect. Thank you to The Refuge, Stephanie, and Shelley (honorable mention to Jana and Bonnie (who left to chase her dreams)) for restoring my faith in humanity.

The Refuge helped save my life. Just being away from stress helped my depression and anxiety. Certain staff members and clients were part of my healing process. I devoted to eating a healthy diet and started lifting weights again. I've lost 60 lbs and still lift, walk/jog and now I'm walking with a 30 lb rucking backpack. I've been more engaged with my 3 kids and web we've done some really tough hikes. I still have to rise from the ashes because I'm dealing with stuff at home. I'm a hundred and thirty one days sober. Thank you to everyone at the Refuge staff am me clients. I really loved all the help!

I am beyond grateful for the staff here. Every clinic is amazing from Phlebotomy, Radiology, Ultrasound imaging, Cardiology, etc, and especially my PCM. I cant give away her name because yall might squeeze in her already tight schedule. (Hint 5' tall Boricua) Everyone's always welcoming, friendly, and I feel like they genuinely care about my health, which is great because I banged up my body and mental health for almost 2.4 decades in the military. Its all good though...it was a great honor to serve overseas in extreme hostile arena. Anyways, I've been to several VA clinics in Florida and Oregon and the Villages VA Clinic is the best!!

I've been at Center for Discovery in Maitland since I left residential at Monteverde and it has been a wonderful experience overall. I've received so much support from all of the therapists, dietitians, diet techs, etc. They take time out of their day to talk to you if you're struggling and the care is really personalized, they take a lot of time getting to know you even if you aren't their primary client. The staff has gone above and beyond to give me and my peers so much support.

More than 34 years ago, I came to Fresh Start Ministries seeking help for my addiction to crack cocaine. The staff at Fresh Start taught me about the addictive personality and helped me understand why I became addicted in the first place. Through the ministry of Fresh Start, I learned how to build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and allow Him to heal areas of my past that had contributed to my destructive thinking and choices. As God worked in my life, my thinking began to change, and I started making healthier decisions. This place offers a safe environment off the streets and off drugs. October 6th I decided to get out from living in a tent for 5+ years and with an addiction that was fully running my life. Lifestream detox on Tally road saved my life. Not only did I have a safe place to detox but after three days they sent me to the hospital where I was out into ICU with sepsis and a spider bite with mersa along with my blood pressure tremendously low I kept passing out. I got hooked up with the Anthony house recovery place before I even left the hospital. A week later I returned to the detox to get my things and to discharge myself from lifestream. The Anthony house said bc it was on a Friday there was no way of transporting me to them so the only other option is have was the street and back in the environment with the drugs. I was able to talk with two the ladies who worked there and the company did pay the ride fare for Lyft to the Anthony house so I could start my recovery journey. I completed the residential recovery program and all their requirements. I started getting set up with GED classes they have there along with my case plan classes I was already required to take. Ex. Parenting, healthy relationships, co dependency, grievance, 12 steps, finance, and they do take you to NA meetings. counseling sessions with a great great counselor Ms Jamie. I've never had a great counselor I was comfortable enough to talk to till I met her. She goes above and beyond for her consumers/clients. There's other classes they provide. They do have a on site daycare for young kids. One thing I did struggle with was they didn't allow kids older then 13 years old. My kids are teens under 18. I started from my rock bottom in a tent out in the street with a huge drug addiction and 8 months later I'm following my dreams. I'm 9 months clean and sober with a career, a home/apartment, my family back in my life, my sanity and my life I was able to get all of it back with making that one step. I highly recommend this place. It's your recovery and sobriety and if you want it as badly as I did you have to consistently fight for your life and fight your self obsession to become a better version then what you were. #wedotecover #justfortoday

I was only able to stay at this facility for 2 weeks because it was impossible to reach my psychiatrist and see the status of my meds at Walgreens without my cell phone. Also, they don’t allow benzodiazepines and I take clonopin for my PTSD breakdowns. I tried weaning off, but I started having panic attacks. I’m very grateful for Steps though. Was able to get clean from marijuana and situation was so uncomfortable that I am never using again! I’m very thankful for Miss Sophie, Miss J, and counselor Miss Alex for their support and care. Thank you Miss Sarah for giving me a chance. I didn’t graduate, but I feel so much more stable, confident, and happy to be sober. God bless all the mothers and newborns at Steps! Praying for all my friends and peers I was blessed to meet and get to know 💜

I severed at total freedom for many year. I know I'm still alive today because of this program and Ministry I learned how to have a personal relationship with god through Christ Jesus. Though my walk has not been perfect my road has been paved with His grace and I can say that because of this place my life is different. I still deal with daily fights but at least I'm in the fight no longer a casualty of the war. Though this place is not easy it's solid, it's real, and it's truth.!!!

From the beginning, Jessica created a safe, supportive, and trusting environment where our daughter felt comfortable being herself. My daughter has been working with Jessica Gonzalez with Neurogenesis Center for a couple of years now. Jessica connected with her quickly and has helped her through some really tough experiences. She provides my daughter with actionable steps to manage difficult situations and cope with stress. Jessica provides recommendations on how I can best support my daughter based on what she is struggling with. I am so grateful for her and the positive impact she has had on my daughter!
