The ladies working up front were really nice. I took the ADSAP class and Monique was the counselor teaching it. She was super down to earth and easy to get along with and did a great class. The other 9 people in the class were also easy to get along with. All in all, I had a great experience.

What an outstanding experience at Dorchester, I enjoyed talking to my counselor, she actually seemed to care about her patients unlike some of my past counselors at other facilities, there is a structured program to follow that helps you to stay sober! I would recommend this center to anyone who needs a real change!

From the moment of walking in today I was nervous. I was greeted by the security guard and the lady at the front desk was nothing but nice and respectful as well as greeted me. …& for those who know the process, it’s just not easy finding therapists/counselors/
psychologists/psychiatrists—
(whatever may have you ), all in one—
and I’ve been to MANY so far for my two oldest daughters.
I’ve seen reviews on here for Google on this specific location and they were not so good.
BUT— you can NOT always go off the reviews—first hand, & that’s coming from my personal experiences, because ALL of my visits so far have been absolutely amazing!!!!
The receptionist, “Shelly” is SO sweet, SO patient and super inviting.
In the event of me always rushing here to be on time, when I arrive all flustered—she just makes you feel at ease and it’s simply refreshing.
The building is spacious and very clean as well, so they do a great job with that.
The girls’s therapists are amazing as well and I’m still getting to know them, as it’s been our first couple visits so far! My oldest daughter’s is Mrs. Sanders—( she’s great & very personable).
I will update this review with my other daughter’s very soon.
So, if you are looking for therapy and medication either for yourself or your children & are also in the Summerville area— I highly recommend this place!! For me, it’s very convenient because it’s less than 10 minutes away. It’s a win-win. 😊

I feel South Carolina's Mental Health is one of the worst but Palmetto Summerville Low Country is number 1. The staff,nurses therapist and Psychiatrist are very caring ,are very attentive to the needs of the adolescent that are hospitalized. My 15 year old daughter benefitted greatly from therapy and the staff. Her therapists Joy and Devine and her team reached her and helped her out of her negative self harming habits and gave her inner strength and ability to deal with things in a positive way. Thank you all.

9/10 Been going here off and on for 4 years. I’ve tried 5-6 different clinics and this one is best in class. Lost my job and couldn’t afford to pay anymore, so I was offered a 6 month all paid state grant so I could continue to receive my medication and treatment during the tough times. I can never thank Jennifer, the staff, Alex Allen, Dillon’s mentors and friends at Charleston Recovery Center and God enough for saving my son’s life. For 12+ years, and thousands of hours of me spending day after day, and night after night staying awake to watch him, making sure he was breathing, I’d accepted the fact that it was likely we would celebrate his life at his funeral, and now we get to celebrate his life, his future and his sobriety in just 6 more days. Thank you Charleston Recovery Center for this most precious and priceless gift! I’ve always known Dillon has a servant’s heart, and it filled mine on my last visit hearing other residents speak about how much Dillon has and continues to help them on their recovery journey. It is fairly easy to visit or go to appointments here; the employees at the security desk are nice. You get a sticker at the desk before you head upstairs.
(I was pleased to see that Valentine cards were collected here to be distributed to the patients!)

The left side is the SOUTH building, and the right side is NORTH.
A PEDESTRIAN GREENWAY with tables, games and food trucks is in between the psych building and the parking garage.
*About 12 metered parking spots are available on President Street.
*Plan to park in one of two parking garages. One is on Bee Street. The other one, my preference, is at the end of President Street, past the Psych building and the Pedestrian Greenway. This is the MUSC JONATHAN LUCAS GARAGE. (As opposed to the Roper same name garage)
*Cars may be parked directly in front of the Psych Institute only if someone is in the vehicle, waiting to pick up a patient being discharged.
*If you park in a parking garage, take your parking slip with you and get it stamped at your appointment so that your parking fee will be either reduced or paid in full.

I have always been disappointed with care received at Colleton Medical but I was in last week with my fiancée that all of a sudden became unconscious and I will say that we received the best fastest care ever!!! Within 15 minutes I knew the diagnosis he was placed on a vent with a central line and we the helicopter transport was there in another 5 minutes!! It has been several years since I attended Grace Home, but I'm here today to say they introduced God into my life in a whole new way. I have gone through many trails since graduating but the tools and relationship with our God almighty I gained from this place has given me strength and power like no other. I have since regained my life in incredible ways, by walking with christ guiding me through out the way. I rebuilt relationships with Family, Got full custody back of my son, gained a incredible Church family, joined the chior and have been involved with many groups with in my church. Since then I have lost my Mother from cancer, then this past year my Grandmother but the peace I received from grace has been with me through it all. Thank you Ms Susan and Ms Anita for guiding me daily and reminding me that God has a greater purpose for me. For motivating me and sharing your testimonies amd your love for God. I recently started receiving primary care at the Savannah VA Outpatient Clinic after having previously utilized the BNH location in Beaufort.
So far, in my experience the level of care has been superlative. The facility itself is clean and modern. The staff have all been top notch. The doctors, nurses, lab techs, and support personnel have all been courteous and competent. They genuinely and sincerely seem to care about their patients.
When's the last time a doctor called you personally at 1730 on a Friday afternoon to give you a non-emergent update on lab results? For me it was yesterday. That level of personal care is what I would expect from an elite private practice, not a government run clinic. I did not see that coming. Five stars all day long. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can honestly say this was the best healthcare experience my husband and I have had outside of the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. From start to finish, the VA clinic in Savannah was organized, efficient, and filled with genuinely kind people.
Special thanks to Dr. Cynthia Carter and her wonderful assistants, Shannon and Regina, who made my husband’s very first VA visit outstanding. After his two years of service in Vietnam, we’d avoided the VA because of horror stories—but today changed everything.
The building was welcoming, the staff went above and beyond, and we left feeling grateful and impressed. I’d give them a 10/10 if I could—and that’s saying a lot, because I don’t hand out glowing reviews easily.
