I have always been disappointed with care received at Colleton Medical but I was in last week with my fiancée that all of a sudden became unconscious and I will say that we received the best fastest care ever!!! Within 15 minutes I knew the diagnosis he was placed on a vent with a central line and we the helicopter transport was there in another 5 minutes!! Thank you for all your care and support at the most difficult time and most of all Thanks for saving his life!!

Only favorable comments. right from the beginning...with the big friendly greeter, the registration, and the tests and technicians (Irene, Shannon, and the tech who maneuvered the huge, scary machine). The facilities were clean and I was very comfortable in the environment.

They moved me from a Dr to a social worker with out telling me and jacked my billing to self pay and I have insurance. The social worker was nice but not what I went to them for. I had my primary care write my prescriptions. So they took it on themselves to change my status.

I joined the Adult Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program and it was life changing. I was going through an extremely rough patch in my life; I wasn’t eating, leaving the house, or living my life. When I joined the group, I was very very nervous. I don’t do well in groups or going out of my comfort zone, but little did I know, that was exactly what I need. Stephanie made sure we knew the confidentiality rules and that group was a safe place. It was really special to see I wasn’t alone and that so many other people of all ages were going through or have gone through the same things I was and have gone through in the past. The 8 weeks I spent going through ways to help me cope with the anxieties of every day life were truly life changing. I would highly recommend taking the jump and stepping out of your comfort zone to do this program. The difference I have seen in my life 6 months after finishing the program and even during is crazy. I’ve learned to not let the anxiety win and how to cope using DBT skills that we learned. Please don’t hesitate to join group, I promise you won’t regret it. I’m so thankful for Stephanie for creating this group and giving me a safe place to “feel my feels”.

From the billing and administrative staff to the counselors, The Behavioral Wellness Group is a well organized, clinically experienced and compassionate group ! I highly recommend licensed professional counselors ,Erin Pawlak and Stephanie Jacobs ! They are kind, compassionate, attentive and skilled. The IOP programs are amazing options for adolescents and adults and one the only or few of their kind in the Bluffton, SC area. Another positive to the group is that they are in network with many different insurance companies and their billing practices are transparent and seamless unlike so many other groups in the area, they also offer other billing options such as Care Credit or billing installment plans if necessary. Phone calls and emails are answered promptly and you will never feel alone and lost here ! Their website is also well maintained and informative with detailed descriptions of programs offered and clinician photos and bio.

Erin Pawlak is a skilled, compassionate counselor and a wonderful person! I highly recommend her as a counselor and her IOP program for teens. It has been so very supportive for my family and life changing experience for my 17 year old son ! She is very responsive to teens and their families and teaches them skills for emotional and mental wellness that become lifelong assets in their personal life as well as school or career. I am so thankful for Erin and her program !

Professionalism is shown the moment you enter with friendly, welcoming smiles from the administrative team and by experts such as psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors, who provide clinical services including services in Spanish. The Berkeley Community Health Center provides Mental health crisis services, case management, outpatient counseling and psychiatric treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Berkeley county. These services are much needed in the world we live in today impacting our children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance. Prior reviews are just a sign of so much negativity in the world we are living in these days and there are so many unseen conditions affecting cognitive behaviors. With a clear vision and mission to serve our community, Berkeley Community Health Center, practices their values of respect, professionalism and commitment to quality in a world full of diversity. From past traumas and all my personal issues post covid I had to deal with not limited to the arrival of my mother in law- marriage crisis- to depression-anxiety and unseen illness-fibromyalgia.I was overwhelmed but I now I am so grateful for Berkeley Community Health Center I appreciate them so much for making me stronger and giving me the tools to continue my day to day life’s journey. A friend approached my husband with some family issues and my husband recommended mental health and my elderly mother goes to therapy in Spanish. Her anxiety has lessened and she has a better quality of life. For example, “If you have a scratch- you place a bandaid but if you experience a broken arm you go to the doctor”. Same with unseen issues or that feeling of being overwhelmed, I highly recommend Berkeley Community Health Center.

From the moment of walking in today I was nervous. I was greeted by the security guard and the lady at the front desk was nothing but nice and respectful as well as greeted me. I went to have a talk with Nochelle who is amazing and if there is anything I can say about this office is that it is heartfelt and warming and can’t wait to see what my other appointments hold in the future!

I’ve lived in the Summerville area for years now. Born & raised in Charleston, South Carolina. Now raising three of my own in Summerville, (three beautiful girls)… …& for those who know the process, it’s just not easy finding therapists/counselors/ psychologists/psychiatrists— (whatever may have you ), all in one— and I’ve been to MANY so far for my two oldest daughters. I’ve seen reviews on here for Google on this specific location and they were not so good. BUT— you can NOT always go off the reviews—first hand, & that’s coming from my personal experiences, because ALL of my visits so far have been absolutely amazing!!!! The receptionist, “Shelly” is SO sweet, SO patient and super inviting. In the event of me always rushing here to be on time, when I arrive all flustered—she just makes you feel at ease and it’s simply refreshing. The building is spacious and very clean as well, so they do a great job with that. The girls’s therapists are amazing as well and I’m still getting to know them, as it’s been our first couple visits so far! My oldest daughter’s is Mrs. Sanders—( she’s great & very personable). I will update this review with my other daughter’s very soon. So, if you are looking for therapy and medication either for yourself or your children & are also in the Summerville area— I highly recommend this place!! Hats off to The front desk team Amazing !!!! There welcome smiles make a great day coming in. they have anaswers and if not they have someone come up and help you right away. Now getting an appointment that different store yes it can take a bit to get an appointment and all the paperwork it worth cause after that it smooth sailing. Me and my boys come here and our family counseling is done here as well . We have constant communication with our counselors. Fixable and the kids counselor gets to visit them at the school too, so they don’t miss school either and after school hours for our hard working family’s I am so very pleased with the team that is in play for my family can’t wait to see our growth

The staff here is very RUDE especially the leader crystal! She treats you like you’re beneath her not knowing you may can be her boss! She lies and shows favoritism towards the patients. She always talk so ruff and harsh to you, but when her kind comes in she’s so polite! I come here for help not to be judged or treated like I’m not human. I would like for this review to address and directed to her boss.

The techs and some nurses are on their cell phones constantly. I was sent to live at a place where my roommate stole soda, cig, and a lighter. There were porch pirates there as well. The owner of the house, Mickey, cut the cord to the air conditioner, and said you can't keep it on during the day. It was the summer; I sat and sweated all night. I just needed some help.
