She was afraid the first day because she was out of her comfort zone. However, the doctors, nurses, therapists and techs made her feel comfortable and through their actions really showed her that they cared about her health and her whole well being. Her psychological team re evaluated her bipolar medical need of necessity and adjusted/changed some of her meds. As a result, mentally she is no longer in a fog. She is now talkative, willing to volunteer to do things and make necessary changes. She enjoyed the food and friendly kitchen staff. Bluff conducted both individual and group therapy. They encourage family involvement by offering visitation/group therapy weekly and one weekend in the mo. they have a 2 day family program that is very beneficial to attend as the loved ones are educated on addiction and how it relates to what they are feeling. Augusta, GA | Steppingstones to Recovery, located in Augusta, Georgia is a private alcohol and drug rehab that offers treatment for a variety of substance abuse addictions including alcoholism and co-occurring mental health disorders. They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery, as well as flexible outpatient addiction therapy | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Stepping Stones to Recovery truly changed my life. When I started their intensive outpatient program, I was struggling and unsure if I could ever break free from addiction. From day one, the staff made me feel welcome and supported. They treated me with respect and compassion, never judging my past but always encouraging my progress.
The group sessions were incredibly powerful—sharing my story and hearing others helped me realize I wasn’t alone. The counselors are knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely invested in everyone’s recovery. They provided practical tools for managing cravings, rebuilding relationships, and handling life’s challenges without turning back to old habits.
I appreciated how the program was flexible enough to fit my work schedule, but still intensive enough to keep me accountable. The focus on mental health and holistic wellness, not just sobriety, made a huge difference for me. I finished the program feeling stronger, more hopeful, and ready for long-term recovery.
If you’re struggling and considering help, I highly recommend Stepping Stones to Recovery. Their IOP is the best decision I’ve ever made!

Please take the time to hear my story that went from the tragic loss of my counselor ending with resilience, strength, and triumph, as I successfully completed the course.
LRADAC’s Outpatient Program was absolutely amazing and truly helped me change my life. From the beginning, Brooke, who placed me in the class that was the perfect fit, showed genuine care and understanding that set the tone for everything that followed.
My counselor, Arianna, was beyond incredible. Everyone in my class would agree she was made for this work. She poured her heart into helping us and genuinely loved what she did. She had recently gotten married and was starting a new chapter in her life....Then, in a moment that shattered us all, we walked into class one day and were told the devastating news: Arianna had been murdered by her husband, who then took his own life.
The pain was unimaginable. Continuing the program without her felt impossible—but we knew Arianna would have wanted us to push forward. And with the strength of our group, and the incredible support from the staff, we did just that.
A special thank you to Casey, our life coach, whose dedication and encouragement helped carry us through such a dark time.
This program works. The people at LRADAC care deeply, and I will never forget what they did for me—or the amazing spirit of Arianna. If you’re considering getting help, give this place a chance. It might just save your life.
