I've been going here for over twelve years altogether. I've found every person working there to be thoughtful, attentive, understanding, and wholly involved and committed to the successful recovery and/or development of their patients to be able to live a more self-sufficient and self-satisfying life, as free from the horrors and pain of mental illnesses. In order to get the very best care along with the very best results and treatment, it's important to become your own best advocate. You must speak up and out and let people know what kind of issues you're dealing with, and what kind of path you'd like to take through the journey to healing and recovery. The staff at the Hartzog Center have always encouraged me to be the primary person in charge of my care and treatment. They've always listened to my needs, been incredibly supportive of everything I am trying to achieve, and have always been terribly easy to talk to, and to get help from when designing my own personal treatment plan.If you want good care, you've got to be a great patient. Nobody can read your mind. The staff at the Hartzog Center in North Augusta definitely care, and always support and encourage every patient to be involved and be proactive with the choices they make towards furthering their treatment goals.

The Hartzog center has enabled me to make leaps and bounds in maintaining a functioning stable lifestyle. Shameka is a wonderful person who genuinely cares about her patients and considers them a friend as well as clientele. She is truly a remarkable person. I highly recommend this center ; the staff is professional, friendly and they provide quality, affordable healthcare for all.

This place helped me when I was going through a tough time. I didnt really like the guy counselor as he seemed cold and disconnected but the woman was good. The doctors got me on medication that helped when I had gone other primary cares who didnt know how to cope with mental health or what works.Front desk is whatever but they're not the ones who you're there to see

I did not know what to expect when I came into rehab. The staff made me feel right at home. The facility was clean, the rules were solid and it was a safe environment. My therapist, Billy T., really helped me a lot through process groups and one-on-one sessions. I have tried therapy in the past but never gotten so much out of it. Really some huge breakthroughs I did not expect because I do not generally like therapy. John O handled all my outside concerns thoroughly and timely and the things that were important were treated as important. Same for Woody who delt with all the HR stuff with my work like FMLA. Overall the entire staff was great, and I also liked Tyler P's morning reflections. The food is also great and you can smoke cigarettes.

I have been going here for a very long time, this place is not perfect but I can easily say the Current Program Director (Ms Christina) and the nurses (Jo and Shelby) have really done Alot to fix the issues. Before this director there have been times where the wait was over 5 hours! It no longer is like that, she's very nice, the counselors I have encountered are also nice and tend to help. I have had very good experiences with Augusta VAMC from 1990-2001 and from 6/24 to 1/8/25 (present). My experiences throughout the network of VAMCs and CBOCs from FL to CA spans 50 years and has provided mostly very good service. The exception to good experiences encountered at VAMCs throughout the United States is the ATL VAMC , truly a systemic failure.

I have to say that this place is a miracle for me. I used to go to New Seasons Metro Treatment Center on Tabacco Rd. I was paying 20$ per day for 3 years because i had no insurance and i always struggled to get my medication because that is alot of money for anyone to pay per day. I was denied medicaid so i didnt know what to do. And i had told the counselors there about my struggles financially and the director Christina who does nothing but try and suck money out of people . So last week i could not pay for my meds and they would not help at all i was going to have to go sick. I have been clean for over 7 years from pain pills . And now i was going to have to be sick becuase i could not pay them and i always do what im supposed like have clean drug tests and go to meetings. So i met with the director Christina and she all of a sudden tells me about Serenity Behavioral health. I went straight over there and got an assesment and a doctors appointment for the next day. That place did more for me in 2 days then the othere did for me in almost 4 years treatment. I paid only 20 bucks for all my medications and they helped me with antidepressants as well. The whole team over there was very supportive for me and was on the ball to help get me setup so i did not get sick. Thank you Serenity Behavioral healthfor everything. And if you are reading this Never i Repeat Never got to New Seasons Metro Treatment Center on Tabacco Rd. That place should be ashamed of what they do. Only a couple good counselors over there that really care and i appreciate them but all the others are horrible

When I 1st started BHG I was literally the definition of rock bottom, if I would of waited another day to come, I probably wouldn't be making this review right now, fentanyl had taken over my life, when I woke up in the morning F is the 1st thing I would do, and think about, the min my eyes opened I was scheming on how I was going to get my pills for the day and of course my wake up for the next day or I wouldn't be able to get out of the bed. When I 1st walked in them doors and walked up to the reception desk she must of seen the pain and desperation on my face, before I could even say anything, she looked at me and said you can let it all go now, your going to make it, we are going to get through this together and she came out to the waiting area and gave me the mother's hug that I needed so much at that time, well she wasn't the receptionist, who are absolutely great, but her name is nurse Kelly, from that day forward February 16th 2022 I have not touched another fentanyl pill , patch or how ever I could get it in my system. By the grace of God leading me in them doors that day, to a group of some of the most caring people, I'm free , all the staff and counselors are just amazing and Daylin my counselor is beyond great, he has a way to instantly make you feel comfortable and you can tell that this just ain't a pay check to him, you can tell that his concern is sincere and he truly wants to be a part of your journey to be clean if I could give BHG 10 stars I would, Thank you BHG for saving me.

I can't express enough how grateful I am for the support I received when I called the facility Sunday night late. I was struggling with my depression and feeling overwhelmed, and I just needed someone to talk to. The lady who answered the phone, I believe her name was (T). it sounded like she said something similar to marijuana but i know that is not her name and i heard. Williams from admissions, was an absolute lifesaver. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient with me.Even though it was late, she took the time to really listen to me as I cried and shared my feelings. I was being stubborn with her, she asked me my name and tried to asisst me as best she could. She didn't rush me at all and even let me pray with her over the phone, which meant so much. She provided me with a wealth of information and resources, explaining the inpatient process in detail and how I could obtain insurance coverage.Although I didn t feel I was at the point of needing admission, she still offered to bring me in for an assessment. Just talking with her made me feel so much better and gave me hope. I could tell that if I did need help, I would absolutely turn to this facility because of the compassion and care she showed me.I was feeling so low, and I didn t realize how much it meant to have someone truly listen and be there for me. T Williams is a breath of fresh air, and I ll always remember how she made me feel safe and heard. Thank you so much for everything!

I know many parents are scared to send their children and trust me when I say I read the reviews and was terrified. Our overall experience was great. My daughter stayed for 30 days. She loved the staff. Her therapist Amy was amazing and really connects with the children. The only issue I had was communication was a little lack of and it was hard only talking to my daughter once a day. She gained all her weight back and enjoyed the food and even tried new foods as well. She got two town passes which we enjoyed because we lived 3.5 hours a way and was able to pick her up at 11am and drop her back off by 7pm. Her mental health since she has been back home is great. She utilizes her cooong skills that she learned there. She also loved having church on Sundays and said every weekend they would have some sort of a social for the kids whether it was an ice cream social or a game day social. Overall don t let all the negative reviews fool you like they did me at first. Thank you to all whom helped B.J on the 100 hall. You guys rock and she already misses seeing the staff that she grew bonds with!!

Staff and programs are refreshing and hands down more effective, holistic, professional, communicative, and involved than any others. The place has highly improved since the last time I was there. I never had one bad experience with the staff members. Unfortunately they were understaffed but they managed to keep it all under control. They did have a lot on their plate, I had to stay in the geriatric unit because the prior unit was full. I am a transgender man so I got my own room but they put me around cis men around my age. It was wonderful!!When I had a problem with one of the guys though they let me move to the other side to separate. I am currently in the outpatient program right now and I'm getting the treatment I need to feel much better.Hands down love some of the nurses and staff members but holy cow. The way they were understaffed and would rush so many things was insane. Also some of the people I ended up talking to didn't know what they were doing. I was supposed to get medication for my double ear infection I had while there and it took them like 2 days to approve it and it took hours to get it to me. IT WAS A NORMAL ANTI-BIOTIC. While visiting family out of town I came back home sick. I was having trouble breathing and my chest was hurting as well as my nose was stopped up. I had been feeling this way for about a week. I decided to go ahead and call the tricare nurse line and see what they recommended. They told me to go to Eisenhower ER immediately. Since I have Tricare Select I didn t know it was an option to go on base. They told me yes I can go on base with no worries. It was Friday evening around 4:30 pm and by 6:30 I was back home with my medicine and able to rest. They did an X-ray and determined I had Upper respiratory infection. I also mentioned to the doctor how I have gerd at night and it s hard sleeping. She gave me some medicine for that as well. Great ER!! Shortest wait time I ve ever had when going to a walk in clinic or ER. Thank you for all your hard work Eisenhower Medical Staff and support staff, it s much appreciated.
