Great experience, Staff was helpful at all levels. From the folks during my intake process down to my final days in the program. I can’t say enough great things about Mr. Niles. From the very beginning, he has been professional, supportive, and truly dedicated to helping me work through challenges. He takes the time to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, and provide practical guidance that I can actually apply in my daily life.
What really stands out is the way Mr. Niles creates a comfortable and safe space. I always leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and encouraged. He’s helped me gain clarity in areas where I felt stuck and offered tools to improve my confidence and focus.
If you’re looking for someone who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in your growth, I highly recommend Mr. Niles. Working with him has been a positive and transformative experience.

I have been a patient at Charlie Norwood for a few years. Outside of my VA experience in Springfield, MA this is the only other VA experience I have and I am well pleased with the service I have received to date. I’m extremely grateful to say my care has been extraordinary. The staff at the VA are a microcosm of greater society which is no different than the military. I’ve seen others articulate their not so great experiences and I wish it were different for them. Still, I loath the fact that veterans think every ill in their lives is the responsibility of the government. I’ve never seen so many people purport to be kick-butt take name warriors on active duty but act like they lack the mental dexterity to simply breathe once they become a civilian veteran. I’m am exhausted with these two-bit hustling oxygen thieves doing everything under the sun to fake injuries to garner personal financial gain. You chose to join the military. You have not cornered the market on “American Freedom” as there are plenty other people who have never worn a uniform that have also sacrificed. I’m sick of you greedy thieves hooping and hollering for attention while those who truly have bonafide ocular injuries can barely get their just due because the greedy scofflaws are getting shyt they don’t deserve. Tragically veterans know other veterans are scammers but instead of utilizing the integrity and moral courage we allegedly have to call these hustlers to the carpet, you simply turn a blind eye. Get over yourselves and stop thinking my tax dollars are supposed to fund every move you make and breathe you take!

When I 1st started BHG I was literally the definition of rock bottom, if I would of waited another day to come, I probably wouldn't be making this review right now, fentanyl had taken over my life, when I woke up in the morning F is the 1st thing I would do, and think about, the min my eyes opened I was scheming on how I was going to get my pills for the day and of course my wake up for the next day or I wouldn't be able to get out of the bed. When I 1st walked in them doors and walked up to the reception desk she must of seen the pain and desperation on my face, before I could even say anything, she looked at me and said you can let it all go now, your going to make it, we are going to get through this together and she came out to the waiting area and gave me the mother's hug that I needed so much at that time, well she wasn't the receptionist, who are absolutely great, but her name is nurse Kelly, from that day forward February 16th 2022 I have not touched another fentanyl pill , patch or how ever I could get it in my system. By the grace of God leading me in them doors that day, to a group of some of the most caring people, I'm free , all the staff and counselors are just amazing and Daylin my counselor is beyond great, he has a way to instantly make you feel comfortable and you can tell that this just ain't a pay check to him, you can tell that his concern is sincere and he truly wants to be a part of your journey to be clean if I could give BHG 10 stars I would, Thank you BHG for saving me.

If you are struggling with your mental health and believe that you need to go to a facility, please go here. I can only speak from my experience though, so be sure to read and take into account the other reviews that are posted. The nurses and staff were very kind and considerate. They made sure that I felt comfortable and safe there. They make sure to give you hospital scrubs, socks, toiletries and undergarments if needed. The food there is….interesting. It isn’t too bad, but don’t expect anything Michelin Star rated. The TV is on most of the time, besides when we have group therapy or are getting ready for bed. I will say that this level of care is definitely NOT for everyone, however, i believe that it can help. Overall, very nice facility and staff.

North Augusta, South Carolina | Aiken – Barnwell Mental Health Center – Hartzog Center located in North Augusta, South Carolina, is part of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, Community Health Centers system providing services to the surrounding area. The Center provides a full range of services to children, adolescents and adults through senior years. Ou | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I've been going here for over twelve years altogether. I've found every person working there to be thoughtful, attentive, understanding, and wholly involved and committed to the successful recovery and/or development of their patients to be able to live a more self-sufficient and self-satisfying life, as free from the horrors and pain of mental illnesses.
In order to get the very best care along with the very best results and treatment, it's important to become your own best advocate. You must speak up and out and let people know what kind of issues you're dealing with, and what kind of path you'd like to take through the journey to healing and recovery.
The staff at the Hartzog Center have always encouraged me to be the primary person in charge of my care and treatment. They've always listened to my needs, been incredibly supportive of everything I am trying to achieve, and have always been terribly easy to talk to, and to get help from when designing my own personal treatment plan.
If you want good care, you've got to be a great patient. Nobody can read your mind. The staff at the Hartzog Center in North Augusta definitely care, and always support and encourage every patient to be involved and be proactive with the choices they make towards furthering their treatment goals.
