You have to find your rock bottom, most of the time, to come to the harsh reality that you need to seek treatment- but there is so much light and growth during that journey. The Bluff completely transforms you once you come to accept this. From the large, Southern main house to the small dormitory cabins behind it, The Bluff is a wooded retreat that removes all distractions to allow you to focus on YOU and your recovery. The staff was incredible (Tommy, Rose, Tori, Hillary, John, Allison, Noah, Claire - specifically) and the culinary team was out of this world (Dorothy, Susan, and Knox)… I think I gained weight while I was there because everything was so, so delicious, all prepared with love. Don’t miss the sunrises, trust you will meet incredible fellow patients from all walks of life, and know that you will find the best version of yourself if you trust the process. Thank you, The Bluff, for everything!

I have been going here for a very long time, this place is not perfect but I can easily say the Current Program Director (Ms Christina) and the nurses (Jo and Shelby) have really done Alot to fix the issues. Before this director there have been times where the wait was over 5 hours! It no longer is like that, she's very nice, the counselors I have encountered are also nice and tend to help. For grown men such as myself. Who have made it by in active addiction until it truly became uncomfortable and all of the consequences of the life I was living started to catch up to me. This was just what I needed. If you are ready to get sober and have truly had enough there is no better place! You will dive deep into step work get through all your steps if your willing to be honest follow the program. The results and the experience at BOH and completely up to your willingness to be open to the process and willing to follow some direction. The Mangers and the others there that are there for you the right reasons are truly there to help you. Take the time you have there to be a sponge and soak up everything you can and learn how to live life a new way and this can be a life changing experience if your not willing to do these things it doesn’t matter what treatment center you go to your just doing time and taking up a bed for someone who is truly ready and it can be life or death. Roscoe is there to guide everyone and will always be there for current residents as well as those who are no longer there. He will always answer his phone and spend as much time as needed to help another addict/alcoholic he has truly found his calling in life and if you have the chance to get a bed at the Bridges of Hope I beg of you to hang with the winners, make life long friends and take advantage of every moment you have there. You never know when you leave that you will need the knowledge you learned there to fall back on and if your in a tough spot. Call Roscoe or anyone from the Bridges and they don’t care if your currently a resident or a past resident or in my case a resident who had been there multiple times. No judgement was ever held over my head just Love and friends that truly want to see you change your life. Except the help grow in your sobriety and help the next person. Stay in contact with the ones on the same page and I can tell your from personal experience I have lifelong friends who will always be there for me and any others that may need them. If you are considering going to the Bridges and you are ready to change your life and wiling to follow some simple directions and put in the work it’s truly amazing what God has in store for you. I have seen miracle after miracle. God bless the Bridges of Hope and what they are doing for everyone that walks through the door. You just have to be a man and be willing to do your part.

This place saved my life. It’s not the easiest program in the world but if you want to disconnect from the world and really start over with yourself and do better, this is the place to go. No phones no Internet no connection to the outside world except for snail mail, which sounds terrible and it does take some getting used to but, that's what I had to do to get my mind focused on recovery instead of worrying about everything else. If I ever get back in a tough spot and don't know where to go I can always call this place and they'll find me a bed if I'm serious about it. I thrive there and I’ve met some great guys in the program I’m still friends with.

If you are truly ready to get sober, this is where you go. Getting started here was completely effortless: I just walked through the door, introduced myself, completed my intake to see if I was a good fit, and started treatment the very next day.
Having experienced recovery as both a client and a staff member at other facilities, I can confidently say the recovery inside these walls is on another level. The staff don’t just work here—they are living proof that real, incredible recovery is possible.
They openly share their own stories, bringing a level of honesty and lived experience that creates immediate trust. As addicts and alcoholics, we need to see that real transformation before we open up, and these people have what you want.
That sense of community extends way beyond the program. Every Friday, staff and alumni from years past gather for a group dinner and head to a speaker meeting together, so no one ever has to walk in alone. They even offer support classes for loved ones, led by someone who understands the family side of addiction firsthand.
The staff care with every fiber of their being, and they show you exactly how to build a life worth staying sober for. Easily 10/10.

I was treated like a person and not a case file — met with patience and genuine kindness at a point when I didn't have much of either for myself.
Nancy & Michelle, their nurses, have a way of making you feel cared for before you've said much of anything. Nancy also does a fantastic job with their family program. Scott and Lyndsey were the counselors who wouldn't let me get away with the easy version of my story, and I'm grateful for it. Blake's work as a therapist got underneath the surface stuff. And Jessica sets a tone from leadership that you can feel in every room — that culture doesn't happen by accident.
The kindness isn't a substitute for substance, either. The program is built on a real recovery foundation: honest group work, individual counseling that doesn't let you hide, and a clear connection to the 12-step community outside the building. They don't just get you stable and send you off — the family piece and the aftercare meant the support kept going after the program ended.
Augusta is fortunate to have them. If you or someone you love is looking for a place to start, start here.

Amazing staff. Yes, they are over worked and short staffed (thanks to that stupid Elon). But you can visibly see the effort they put in every day. Getting appointed can take time, because they are short staffed. Once you get rolling with a department, you are good to go. It’s a matter of them starting you in their system that takes time, as it is with most government agencies. The people are the friendly and professional, even to vets that show up and are clearly intoxicated (that was a sight).

I would like to express my deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to Brenda (Shari) Williams, VA Nurse Navigator for Pain Management, and Lisa Parker, VA Nurse Practitioner and Lead for Pain Management, for the extraordinary care, dedication, and persistence they showed on my behalf. As well as, Ryan Kalkbrenner, who introduced them to “Walkasins”!
They truly went above and beyond every expectation. When others may have stopped trying, they refused to give up on a veteran who desperately needed help. Because of severe Peripheral Neuropathy, I had lost the ability to properly feel my feet, which caused me to experience many falls over the past five years.
Through their determination, compassion, and willingness to go through every possible avenue, they “cracked the code” and helped me obtain “Walkasins”. Thanks to their efforts, I can now feel my feet as I walk. The improvement has been nothing short of life-changing.
This has truly been a miracle and an incredible blessing. Their commitment to helping veterans, their professionalism, and their genuine compassion are an inspiration. Brenda (Shari) Williams and Lisa Parker exemplify the very best of the VA, and I will always be grateful for the difference they have made in my life.
Please recognize them for their outstanding service and unwavering dedication to all of our veterans. They have made a profound impact on my safety, independence, and quality of life.

The doctor was great. The nurses was great. My counselor Cody was great just getting over. That first hump was almost impossible but I’m clean again thank you when someone’s trying. Try to give them a little lead way it could be the difference in them getting well.

This place is very hands-on-If you have Medicaid it’s wonderful to go to.. Otherwise, you have to pay $15-19 a day! Out of pocket .
After five years, I finally found a place that takes my insurance that I have through work…
I was actually sad to go because I built a relationship with my counselor and the front desk attendant as well as the billing lady, but they never wanted to even try to run my insurance…

This treatment center is hands down the best one I’ve ever been to. Get ready cause my review is going to be a long one.
Their rules might be alittle more strict on things than other clinics but the people who work there make it worth it.
Cliff is the best counselor I’ve ever been to. Not only has he helped me understand more about my addiction but he’s helped me heal from some extremely traumatic and painful things that have happened in my life. He has helped me learn to laugh at myself, and I trust him , which is something I am not able to do very easily at all anymore with people. I don’t think
there’s anything I wouldn’t tell him. He’s helped me in beginning to forgive people , especially myself.
Miss Lorraine is firecracker and sweetheart all in one. She is fair and kind and she doesn’t pull punches. She’ll do anything in the world to help someone who is willing to help themself but she’s no pushover and she expects the best in us. I have grown to love her and have enormous respect for her. And I’m grateful to her for everything she’s done to help me with my recovery. She has encouraged me in ways she doesn’t even realize.
Nita!! One of the nurses. I adore Nita. If you want the truth, you ask Nita. She will encourage you, help anyway she can, but she will give you a swift kick in your behind if you need it. And I love that about her..she’s real! I always miss her when she’s out. Nita can make me laugh when no one can.
I could go on and on about so many of them like Miss Cindy, Melissa, Sonya, Miss Sharon, Cody..each and all of them are very special to me in their own way.
Cody is just getting started but I can already see he’s going to help a lot of people who desperately need it in his career. He was born to do this. He’s a great listener and he genuinely cares. His empathy for this struggle is genuine.
Each of us have our story about how we got to this place in our life. Some started recreational drug use, some from an injury and started with prescription, some started from an injury and came to depend on the prescription to get thru mental pain as much as the physical. Some started trying to numb the mental pain that had nothing to do with physical pain.Whatever your reason may be, I pray you’ll be able to get the help you need to be able to recover from it.
I do know this, if you truly are sincere in wanting help and to get better..and you do the work and are honest with them, this group of people at Reliance will be there to help you thru it. Find which counselor is your “fit” and show up everyday and decide you want your life to get better and with God and the help of this group of people and your willingness to change and you can do it!
I never thought my life would be this much better just 6 years ago. I didn’t care if I lived or died. But I owe a lot of it to the people at this clinic who stuck with me and believed in me and encouraged me to keep doing the next right thing. I still have a ways to go..but thankfully I have their support to be able to do it.
I found help, kindness and genuine support here… not just a daily dose. Thank you to all the people at Reliance because yall are all very special to me. ❤️
