I am understanding a bit more context that they don't bring forth immediately, but it is something that I sense. The facility needs more funding so they can grow and provide better support for people. It's not the people that work at the facilities fault it really isn't but rather they really need funding. Please be patient with the staff and emphasize with them.
I implore people who attend there to be patient and understand their perspective They will not openly address it because of professional reasons... They are trying. Please be mindful of their needs as well. It's going to be difficult for everyone. 🖤

Staff are dedicated and professional. The Ben Gordon Center "living room" is a highly-accessible safe space. It is a refuge from societal turmoil and uncertainty. These respite services are provided free of charge. Highly reccomend.

Sooo awesome what you all do keep up the great work!
Since Northwestern Medicine started managing Kishwaukee Hospital and all the medical facilities in DeKalb/Sycamore, CSP has been perfect! The counselors treat me as an individual and they really have been supportive.
As a client with multiple categories of issues(depression, epilepsy, cardiac). When Covid started, they made sure that I was getting everything I needed. Last winter, I had to have a heart surgery- they were so supportive in helping me with the aftermath and staying independent.
I recommend this facility for anyone who needs help with managing daily life with a mental illness.
My only complaint is that when the best counselor I ever had left, I don’t like her replacement. She doesn’t meet with me very often, and seems to be too business focused and not really interested in my needs.

Annie, kim and justin from CPS are the very best. I'm glad there are resources like this available and it has helped me get to the better place that I am at today.. I would recommend Ben Gordon.
