I love it here it s like my own personal family. The staff is great. But recently it's a problem with the insurance they say I have to pay $20 weekly because my insurance didn't pay but they have not given me proof of the months not paid I have my proof. But yet I have to wait and see there proof it's been almost 30 days now I have been paying that's not legal and on top of that they have billed 2 of my insurance

I have always been treated with dignity and I have a smile on my face whenever I have to go there cuz everyone is so understanding and caring!! I've gone to a few different clinics in Illinois and California. This is the best! When i moved back to the state, I came back here, even though it's an hour drive and there are closer clinics. The staff here are all amazing. From the receptionist to the counselors, LPNs, Nurse Practioners and the Doctors, everyone is very friendly and supportive. Service is generally pretty quick, though some days might take a little longer. As long as you do what you need to do to get yourself better, they will work with you, support you and you will quickly earn codes so you don't have to come as often. As for price? It's about the same as any private pay clinic. Actually, now that they now offer a cash discount it might be less, AND they take insurance including Illinois medicaid. Truly, I owe a lot to Recovery Concepts. I struggled off and on for YEARS until I found them. Now I have 8 years, and I know it couldn't have been done without them.

I attended their 28 residential program in late 2012 and early 2013. I actually asked to stay longer and was allowed to. I've been sober since and today I am at 12 years, 3 months and 16 days. I am extremely grateful for them and the grant that allowed me to attend at a lower cost because I didn't have medical insurance. Of course I didn't right? I had nothing. By the time I came here I was at my personal bottom. I'm still in therapy and working on my recovery daily. Is this place perfect? No. But it's gives you a good foundation to BEGIN your recovery. Here as with any other place or person with addiction experience will tell you recovery never ends. So if you're looking for a quick fix to addiction issues this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a place where most of the people there genuinely care and you want a good place to start your recovery then this is absolutely the place for you. Over a decade later I'm living on my own, I now own my own business and have a few genuinely caring and good friends. Thank you South Suburban! I believe in my heart if it wasn't for this place I wouldn't be writing this review.

My love for my child is immeasurable, and it has been heart-wrenching to witness her struggle with addiction, which significantly impacted her life. I had previously attempted to persuade her to seek rehabilitation, but she consistently resisted and even left facilities upon admission. However, during her time at South Suburban Counsel, the dedicated counselors, Nicole and Keith, were instrumental in encouraging her to remain and pursue her healing journey. Although the environment is quite strict and certain freedoms, such as smoking cigarettes, are restricted, these measures are ultimately for the benefit of the individuals seeking help. Therefore, I urge anyone facing addiction challenges to consider this facility and adhere to its guidelines. It has the potential to transform your life and help you realize the future you deserve. I am immensely grateful to Nicole and Keith for their unwavering commitment to assisting individuals in reclaiming their sobriety. May they be blessed for their efforts!

Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

Such a transformative experience! Naturally, the reviews you read for addiction treatment centers are going to skew negative but don't let that deter you if you believe you need help. Not only did I have an amazing experience with staff, I've built a strong foundation of community among my peers who were also seeking treatment. While encouraged by their use of an evidenced-based model, the incorporation of the 12-steps had me skeptical at first but now I'm fully committed. If you feel the 12 steps aren't for you, they also provide information about alternatives such as SMART Recovery and Recovery Dharma. My one complaint would be that I had chosen to participate in the in-person IOP during intake, but was somehow placed into the virtual IOP. Once it was recognized it was a quick fix and it didn't impact my start date or anything like that.

My messages were courteous. My issue was never addressed and I have been repeatedly ignored. I’m disappointed that the person who handles issues is not addressing my recent 2 issues. Laura Basso Ramos is a very kind, empathetic, loving person. I meet with her twice a week for my group therapy sessions and she was so welcoming on my first visit. I've been here twice... Certainly the best 28 day program in the area. Two amazing counselors who educate residence on addiction and push and motivate them to be better. I am grateful to this place however ashamed that I relapsed again after two stays here. They certainly did there best... And do not take into account the bad reviews. If you've been to several programs and treatment centers around Chicago then you know HAS is one of the better ones.HAS, Keep up the good work and thank Hose for giving me so many chances, you guys help those who want it. I hope I can visit on better terms someday!

I was there and now im 3 years clean. Good place to go if your serious and ready to find a new way to live. I'm forever thankful to all the counselors and the cooks who took there time on showing love and helping me get out of that hell I was in.. I still miss that church they used to take us every other weekend with Pastor Steve still can't find it. God bless and stay safe...

My son has been struggling for years and has been to several rehabs. Some bad some great. He's currently at this one and I have seen such a huge difference in him! He is making healthy plans for the future and is full of hope again! He loves that they get to go outside for basketball and the other clients act like family. I like that it's separated with men on one unit and ladies on the other. Having been through treatments myself, I know this is crucial. I went to inpatient rehab at Abraxas and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming to me when I was at my lowest point. They handled any medical needs I had and helped me establish a good start on my recovery. There were many excellent group learning sessions. They also brought some knowledgeable speakers to give me connections with the 12 step community, which is now the structure of my recovery. Cheryl was originally my counselor and got me started with a packet tailored to my issues. She then became director of the men s unit and I had an additional good experience with Catherine. I currently have 11 months of sobriety and I couldn t have done it without the help of the 28 day program at Abraxas.

I have been to this center 3 times in my past throughout my addiction. I can say with experience that this place is the real deal .A lot of places will say it s about recovery. But you can see and feel the changes people are going through. And miracles DO HAPPEN! I just wanna say AMEN, thank you Jesus for keeping the doors open to this center all these years. Recovery and Treatment isn t always something we are proud of, but this place can instill a real pride in a person. After 10 years of battling addiction to various drugs I went to ECS for 28 days of rehab. It was a life changing experience that started on 11/29/2018. I have been in recovery for nearly 2 years now. I ve become close with my family and opened a personal training business helping men in rehab and employing men in recovery. I have also gotten my position as a general foreman back at my regular Job as well as my freedom in my life and am a better man than I have ever been thanks to the counselors, staff and Dr Sharma at ECS.A 6 year sober and in recovery update. Being someone that has been to multiple treatment facilities in this sobriety journey of mine I can confidently say that ECS has been by far the best and most effective treatment I know of I highly recommend it. It s been a few months since I ve been out and I m now working at a great job with some others that also went through the program and could not be happier with my sobriety!
