In-patient housing, outpatient PHP and IOP options allowed me a platform to move through early recovery at my own pace. The group therapy offerings allowed more personalized options for topics that applied to me individually. Individual therapy helped me to work through to the root issues underlying my addiction through self-directed mentoring, alternative methods and connections with medical and psychiatry professionals on-site. After a couple months, I successfully completed treatment and left NIRC feeling like I have a new lease on life. I was connected with so many community resources to continue my recovery journey and at nearly 4 months sober, I am a version of myself I haven't been connected with in years! I am a better wife and mother, but I also have found my purpose and become a student, a friend, a coach and a productive, self-confident and SOBER part of my community. Shout out to all the nurses but especially Linda in detox. This lady held my hand and I completely give her all the credit in the world for getting me through that. After detox I went to the men's unit. I can only speak on the councilors I've had cause I've been there twice but John and Tera are amazing in every way. The staff is awesome with special shout outs to D, Sammy, Kurt and Chase for sure. If you've never witnessed one of Chases groups this man will change your lyfe. The rehab itself is like a resort and I called it the Passeges Malibu of Illinois. It's right on the lake and everything is gorgeous. Id recommend this place 100 times over. The only negative thing I have to say is I came with 2 brand new scripts of Alprazalam and Adderall that was destroyed without my consent even though they belonged to me and everyone said I'd get them back but I guess thats rehab for you. Dee and Cory are amazing at what they do . They have that perfect balance of understanding your thoughts and challenging your thoughts . Everyone is able to speak as much or as little as they want. The program is well structured and you can expect the same and clear expectations daily. A variety of activities and discussion groups from daily check ins to music and art therapy. I will no longer see the APN Slyvia Giron as I should have discontinued seeing her after I requested an increase in dosage of my ADHD medication. Im a professional in corporate experiencing major trauma and she stated something to the effect that you are not going to sell these pills? Apparently Sylvia did not read my chart. A professional experiencing trauma. Why would I need to sell meds that I needed to take? Why would she make such an offensive statement to me? Because I was already experiencing so much trauma I only shared that statement with others. I felt Sylvia was interested in prescribing anxiety meds because as I got better and my anxiety subsided she still wanted me to take these pills. I rejected the script. I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible. I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. I was struggling with my alcohol use and going into treatment with NIRC changed my life! The staff, techs, facilitators and therapists are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable with many of them having real life experience giving them a place of empathy and advocacy to serve from. In-patient housing, outpatient PHP and IOP options allowed me a platform to move through early recovery at my own pace. The group therapy offerings allowed more personalized options for topics that applied to me individually. Individual therapy helped me to work through to the root issues underlying my addiction through self-directed mentoring, alternative methods and connections with medical and psychiatry professionals on-site. After a couple months, I successfully completed treatment and left NIRC feeling like I have a new lease on life. I was connected with so many community resources to continue my recovery journey and at nearly 4 months sober, I am a version of myself I haven't been connected with in years! I am a better wife and mother, but I also have found my purpose and become a student, a friend, a coach and a productive, self-confident and SOBER part of my community. I owe it to NIRC and I hope to, one day, give back to the organization that has given me a life I am proud of and excited to live every day! Thank you!!

I am going on my 7th year here. When I had my first appointment I was so scared and nervous that I was going to be judged or looked at differently. Not even one member of staff has ever made me feel that way. What I would tell myself and anyone afraid to take that leap. You are worth it, you deserve to be drug and/or alcahol free and happy. This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They saved my lyfe for sure and are currently saving my girlfriends lyfe. I can not say enough good things about this place and trust me if it was wack I'd put them on blast. First the nursing staff is more then amazing. I went there to detox from the typical West Side of Chicago herion-fetinol-xylazine-morphine bullshit and knew I was in for a rough couple weeks. Shout out to all the nurses but especially Linda in detox. This lady held my hand and I completely give her all the credit in the world for getting me through that. After detox I went to the men's unit. I can only speak on the councilors I've had cause I've been there twice but John and Tera are amazing in every way. The staff is awesome with special shout outs to D, Sammy, Kurt and Chase for sure. If you've never witnessed one of Chases groups this man will change your lyfe. The rehab itself is like a resort and I called it the Passeges Malibu of Illinois. It's right on the lake and everything is gorgeous. Id recommend this place 100 times over. The only negative thing I have to say is I came with 2 brand new scripts of Alprazalam and Adderall that was destroyed without my consent even though they belonged to me and everyone said I'd get them back but I guess thats rehab for you. If your struggling with anything this is the best possible place for you. They truly save lives.

I can’t say enough about Micawla and Cliff! We came over from the professional building after hearing some disheartening news. We needed further lab tests, one for a C-T scan. We were told we would have to make an appointment and return at another time. Just so happens that Cliff, who actually does the test, walked in while we were waiting to set up the test. He over heard our situation and immediately said he would fit us in his schedule. With help from Micwala, we were able to do the test the same day. Their overwhelming kindness and compassion were second to none. I would highly recommend Holy Family for their available services and will definitely schedule any further testing with them. The only people who leave bad reviews are the people who didnt want help or treatment. I LOVED IT HERE and they helped me so much with my abusive parents! I came here for the Adult IOP program after a recent stay at inpatient unit at a different hospital. I cannot say enough about how well this program is run and the people who run it. Dee and Cory are amazing at what they do . They have that perfect balance of understanding your thoughts and challenging your thoughts . Everyone is able to speak as much or as little as they want. The program is well structured and you can expect the same and clear expectations daily. A variety of activities and discussion groups from daily check ins to music and art therapy. Strongly reccommend this program if needed.

If your child struggles with anything mental health-wise, Compass is a godsend. It’s like school where the teachers are all expert doctors and therapists who genuinely care about your child and your family. We’ve gone back almost every year for a refresher of all the skills they teach our son. Literally nowhere better and we’re so grateful they gave us our son back. I went to bridge house after going to an inpatient. Going to Bridge house for the first time was an life changing amazing experience especially being there for the holidays up until about 2 weeks ago when i graduated the program. They offer groups I never thought I would get into yoga and meditation. I now enjoy doing both because of bridge house. They have awesome food that I used to always cook they actually care about what you're interested in making they buy all the ingredients for you to cook for the house on your scheduled day .They have very good groups and peer support groups. The physician who saw me today for a routine check up went above and beyond. Dr. Doss was unhappy to hear that a previous prescription I had was unaffordable for me, so she took extra time to find an alternative but equally effective prescription option. She also was very attentive in asking about my family history and took extra care after learning that I was adopted to make sure she had an understanding that I was aware of paying attention to any possible inherent conditions and gave me not negative responses, but positive encouragement to stay on top of my health. Social distancing was in full swing at the Deerfield office, and the desk attendants were very diligent in directing patients as such.

My Therapist is Theresa Mikosz. She is amazing. I starting meeting with her at a very critical time in my life. She helped me through when it all. She is sensitive, to your concerns, listens, hears you, questions, understands and offer recommendations, to help improve your life. I highly recommend her. She will be retiring and I will miss her terribly. I think she is a professional that has mastered her craft! The APN I was assigned Sylvia Giron lacks all sensitivity. She was more interested in keeping me on anxiety mesds when my test results showed my anxiety had totally subsided. I will no longer see the APN Slyvia Giron as I should have discontinued seeing her after I requested an increase in dosage of my ADHD medication. Im a professional in corporate experiencing major trauma and she stated something to the effect that you are not going to sell these pills? Apparently Sylvia did not read my chart. A professional experiencing trauma. Why would I need to sell meds that I needed to take? Why would she make such an offensive statement to me? Because I was already experiencing so much trauma I only shared that statement with others. I felt Sylvia was interested in prescribing anxiety meds because as I got better and my anxiety subsided she still wanted me to take these pills. I rejected the script. She scolded me for stop taking the meds. Again Theresa Mikosz has been Amazing 👏 Thank you Theresa!

*****UPDATE*** I had a wonderful experience at my radiology appointment today where I had to have a CAT scan done. I was lucky to be assigned to Roxana and Daniel. They were absolutely so wonderful, comforting and easy to talk to about my worry about having it done. They were patient and made sure I was truly comfortable. Thank you Roxanna for making my day and thank you Daniel for taking my arm and being my date for my cat scan! This hospital is truly the best! had an echocardiogram done by David Tuesday November 18. He was so sweet and kind and we talked the whole time. He knew exactly how to take my mind off my worries! He is a keeper!!!! Thank you David!

WRS, what is there to say? I have nothing negative to say about this facility. They treated me better that I treated myself. I learned so much about myself. I still keep all my paperwork from when I was there and every now and again, look back at how my thinking has changed and how much I have matured. I will never forget how amazing all the staff is. They really really do care. Thank you for helping me save my life for my kids. I was sooo blessed and AM STILL so blessed to have such an experience. This place was like nothing else. We / I learned about triggers and the biggest for menwas learning, "When things are starting to break down, Warning signs you are in relapse or self destructive mode or having those behaviors and what to do" My memorynis bad as it's been years since I have been there, but Kendra and Amy, saw something in myself I didn't see. Everyone saw someone special in me except for me. I am so grateful to not be chasing $20 or just surviving place to place with my kids wanting their Mama and wondering where she is and why she isn't here.
