I still keep all my paperwork from when I was there and every now and again, look back at how my thinking has changed and how much I have matured. I will never forget how amazing all the staff is. They really really do care. Thank you for helping me save my life for my kids. I was sooo blessed and AM STILL so blessed to have such an experience. This place was like nothing else. We / I learned about triggers and the biggest for menwas learning, "When things are starting to break down, Warning signs you are in relapse or self destructive mode or having those behaviors and what to do" My memorynis bad as it's been years since I have been there, but Kendra and Amy, saw something in myself I didn't see. Everyone saw someone special in me except for me. I am so grateful to not be chasing $20 or just surviving place to place with my kids wanting their Mama and wondering where she is and why she isn't here. NIRC has helped me in countless ways and I owe a lot to them for helping me get where I am today. The staff is amazing, they will do anything in their power to support you in recovery and go out of their way to help in anyway they can; they truly want to see you succeed and helped me be sober for 4 years. Groups are helpful in that you are able to be vulnerable and get so much information to help get you through any situation - the therapists are there to help walk you through at any stage of your recovery. Clients are more than supportive and understand what we are all going through; they want to help not only themselves but everyone around them. NIRC is like a little family and with all the help we get, we can all make it through the challenging times.

I am not sure i can properly put into words how important my time at footprints was. I do believe they helped me save my life. The entire staff is full of love, care and kindness. They were professional and diligent in my treatment. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone facing struggles with mental health and addiction. This place saved my loved ones life. Seriously. He was Deep in addiction when he got here and I was fearful because of the reviews and because his addiction was just so bad I didn’t know if anything was going to help. Before footprints, I was planning to bury my loved one. He is now healthy, clean and sober and has a career. I can never thanks footprints to recovery enough. All the staff was very kind to me when I went to visit and drop stuff off for him. The only reason we’re missing a star is because my loved one had some issues with a staff member named Quan(?) who was being weird to patients. Other than that, amazing experience for my loved one. Thank you guys for saving his life and brightening up mine.

I am consistently blown away by the care that SunCloud provides for individuals specifically with co-occurring disorders. They have a new adolescent residential program in Matteson, IL where care is literally non-existent. Colleen Kestel is their VP of Operations and is very selective on who she works with. I’ve trusted Colleen as a dietitian for many years, as well as Dr. Kim Dennis. I highly recommend SunCloud, especially for those with co-occurring disorders, who need a higher level of care!

I began IOP and individual counseling at Rosecrance in February 2026, and I can honestly say it has been one of the most positive and impactful decisions I’ve made. My counselor Dominique is truly exceptional — she embodies everything you hope to find in a counselor. From my very first session, Dominique made me feel genuinely heard and understood. She listens with real empathy, never makes you feel judged, and creates a space where it’s safe to be completely honest. That kind of environment is rare and so incredibly valuable, especially when you’re navigating something difficult in your personal life. What sets Dominique apart is her combination of warmth and professionalism. She doesn’t just listen — she provides thoughtful guidance and practical tools that I’ve been able to carry with me outside of our sessions. Her knowledge and approach have helped me build real coping skills that have made a meaningful difference in my day-to-day life. Rosecrance as an organization has also impressed me with the quality of care and the caliber of their staff. Dominique will absolutely keep you on your toes, but if you want it bad enough, anything is possible — just put the work in and you will have true companionship throughout the entire experience. I cannot recommend her enough.

The despair, trying to improve... Why??? Just for saying what's going on here, taken advantage of, false promises, came back here in good faith like many.. put forth so much to rebuild etc... new health conditions, put down for a certain one..

I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard. Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

All of the staff are super friendly and their goal is to help you be successful. The PA listens to you carefully and he will suggest and prescribe medication to aid you to reach your goals. The counselor will work with you to set up a plan for your recovery and listens intently to you to help you reach the goals you have set. She has helped me in numerous ways to overcome anxiety issues that were blocking my path. I believe the whole staff have truly saved my life.

I went to bridge house after going to an inpatient. Going to Bridge house for the first time was an life changing amazing experience especially being there for the holidays up until about 2 weeks ago when i graduated the program. They offer groups I never thought I would get into yoga and meditation. I now enjoy doing both because of bridge house. They have awesome food that I used to always cook they actually care about what you're interested in making they buy all the ingredients for you to cook for the house on your scheduled day .They have very good groups and peer support groups. I enjoyed playing the drums and the keyboard that they have to offer as well. So shout out to bridge house thank you for all your support loving and caring attitude towards me always. The staff are very supportive and I had a productive time there. The billing department and staff are not supportive and are a complete mess. I had met my OOP with my first session there but they continued to try to bill me periodically despite my repeated explanations. I finished with the program last week and I suddenly started getting billed again. Now they are demanding that I prove to them that I met my OOP, which is something they can easily verify.

Im on day 5 of a jury trial. I've been a patient for 4 years. I went from 16mg down to 1mg. I haven't touched an opiate since Dec of 2021. Today, God forbid, I come in on a schefuled appointment, a day early, on a month prescription. Why? Because I happened to run out 24 hours early due to difficulties weening off subs. Something that a doctor would likely expect and appreciate. Alexis, Im sorry I didn't just hold out til Friday. I didn't want to be in full blown withdrawals during a pivotal moment in my career. Shame on me. Next month, instead of giving you full disclosure i'll tell you a fairytale. That must be so much more productive. Do you think I disclose the truth because I'm an idiot? No, it's because I actually trust professionals. You breached it. I don't want special treatment. However, if you're going to play a petty game, have the guts to say it to my face. I can't come tomorrow morning and show you my half strip. That doesn't mean I'm selling the sub strips or some other ridiculous concern. I have children who need to get to school and/or a babysitter and then I need to be in court for a trial. I can come Saturday. Hopefully that's ok with you doc. Pretty please. Lsstly, I left 5 stars because no one else had ever done this to me without saying it to my face first. I owe Symetria a lot, especially Rachel. I will remove this Saturday night. My point is Alexis, say it to the patient's face. 16mg down to 1mg and you make me feel like a criminal? Its comical. Its not like I just showed up. I rescheduled. Its called discretion. Use it.

I continue to trust Symetria staff with my life and have not been disappointed. I did not show up for a few days because I was sick….the staff there called me every day until I answered, and they got me to come back in for my treatment and back on track. It is rare to find people who truly care about you as an individual, Symetria is one of the rare companies with people who care.

The staff was wonderful! If I had to be hospitalized, this was the best experience possible. Professional, empathetic, personal, and caring nurses and techs who care about the patient and keeping the patient informed and involved in his or her own care, other than the hospitalist, who was completely out of touch with my care team, and couldn’t be bothered to to find out what my care plan was before he came in to see me. I still would choose Alexian Brothers because the care is wonderful, and just ask for a different hospitalist.

the psychiatrist i was seeing through ascension was alright. i decided to transfer care from her to a different ascension provider. while i think dr. raza is good at what she does, i think she lacks something. i had an appointment scheduled (a 1 month follow up) back in the beginning of january for 4:30pm. i received a call from a number i didn’t recognize the day before my appointment. i answered it and it was dr. raza. she was calling to ask me if i could meet earlier the same day for our appointment. i said yes and left work 30 minutes early to have privacy for the telehealth appointment. im aware me leaving work early is my own decision and im not upset that i lost that time of paid work. but the new time of our appointment came and went with no call or texts for checking in for the appointment. there have been times when dr. raza has left me waiting in the zoom waiting room and usually if she wouldn’t meet for the zoom she would call me. so i waited for a call from her and didn’t receive one. i called the number she called me from and it rang 3 or 4 times and then the line disconnected, or whoever was on the other line picked up my call but then hung up. i’m not sure. around almost 2 hours later i received a call from one of the front desk receptionist asking if i met with dr. raza. the receptionist was very nice, all of the receptionist at this location are so friendly and helpful. she was just as confused as i was. this experience with dr. raza made me want to switch providers/transfer care. it’s not that i don’t think she’s competent because she is. it really just didn’t sit right with me how this whole situation went down. i have seen dr. raza since i started coming to ascension but there were other little things that happened that made me not want to continue care with her. every time i met with her she would ask the same questions, it felt very robotic at times. she would always ask if i see a therapist and i would always answer yes. my confusion from her asking me this is, isnt it in my chart/file that im seeing a therapist? especially since the therapist i see is in literally the same building as her? i understand too that i am not dr. raza’s only patient and i dont expect any provider to remember every little detail about their patients. it’s just that every appointment i had with her felt like it was a new patient appointment because she would ask me all the same questions every single time. i’m expressing a lot of empathy by saying that i have no idea how many patients dr. raza, or any ascension provider, sees on a daily basis, or what their typical case load is like. i can imagine it’s a lot to take on and a lot for one person to handle. to me, it just felt like there was a disconnect from me and my psychiatrist. and i’m not saying this was a terrible experience by any means, dr. raza is a good doctor. for me it just feels like i need someone new who can look at my case with maybe a new perspective. i haven’t seen my new provider yet but i hope she is able to help me as well.

I spoke to Jessica to set up my first appointment. She was super helpful, and she was pleasant and knowledgeable. She lead me through the entire process in an understandable and efficient manner. Great job!

Hi, My name is Brittany woodruff, my personal experience with Nicasa has been a true blessing. I came to Nicasa in 2022, me and my children were homeless. I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! SHE WOULD GO OUT IF HER WAY, TO MAKE SURE I WAS MAKING IT TO MY APPOINTMENTS, AND ALSO A SUPPORT TO ME EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY!!! I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible. I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County. What makes Nicasa so special is that they are not just another organization—they truly care. They spend countless hours serving people and making a positive impact. I have referred many friends and family to them, and they too have been blessed by the hard work and dedication of Ms. Darlene, Ms. Sindey, and the Nicasa team. I did my parenting classes at Nicasa North Chicago and the people there are really nice and willing to help. Gloria Gomez led the classes and she always positive and listened to everyone. I like how they are really trying to help others….
