I can’t say enough good things about my experience in Suncloud outpatient programming. The group therapy environment along with the individual care you receive is truly amazing. You are given the tools to work on yourself in an environment that is supportive, free of judgement, and with staff and peers who want the best for you. I made friends and worked with staff here that I will remember for a lifetime. It works if you work it

I am consistently blown away by the care that SunCloud provides for individuals specifically with co-occurring disorders. They have a new adolescent residential program in Matteson, IL where care is literally non-existent. Colleen Kestel is their VP of Operations and is very selective on who she works with. I’ve trusted Colleen as a dietitian for many years, as well as Dr. Kim Dennis. I highly recommend SunCloud, especially for those with co-occurring disorders, who need a higher level of care!

I began IOP and individual counseling at Rosecrance in February 2026, and I can honestly say it has been one of the most positive and impactful decisions I’ve made. My counselor Dominique is truly exceptional — she embodies everything you hope to find in a counselor. From my very first session, Dominique made me feel genuinely heard and understood. She listens with real empathy, never makes you feel judged, and creates a space where it’s safe to be completely honest. That kind of environment is rare and so incredibly valuable, especially when you’re navigating something difficult in your personal life. What sets Dominique apart is her combination of warmth and professionalism. She doesn’t just listen — she provides thoughtful guidance and practical tools that I’ve been able to carry with me outside of our sessions. Her knowledge and approach have helped me build real coping skills that have made a meaningful difference in my day-to-day life. Rosecrance as an organization has also impressed me with the quality of care and the caliber of their staff. Dominique will absolutely keep you on your toes, but if you want it bad enough, anything is possible — just put the work in and you will have true companionship throughout the entire experience. I cannot recommend her enough.

Hi, My name is Brittany woodruff, my personal experience with Nicasa has been a true blessing. I came to Nicasa in 2022, me and my children were homeless. I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! SHE WOULD GO OUT IF HER WAY, TO MAKE SURE I WAS MAKING IT TO MY APPOINTMENTS, AND ALSO A SUPPORT TO ME EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY!!! I WILL NEVER FORGET HER, NOR SAY "NO" IN THE TIME OF NEED FOR HER WHEN SHE CALLS ME TO HELP WITH THE COMPANY.. NICASA THANK YOU SO MUCH!! FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND SERVICES!!! GOD BLESS!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible. I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County. What makes Nicasa so special is that they are not just another organization—they truly care. They spend countless hours serving people and making a positive impact. I have referred many friends and family to them, and they too have been blessed by the hard work and dedication of Ms. Darlene, Ms. Sindey, and the Nicasa team. Thank you, Nicasa, for helping me rebuild my life and for all you continue to do for our community.

Mather's Recovery has been the best place I have been to concerning my OUD and other mental health diagnoses. I am a recovering IV heroin addict for 10 years. My sobriety began 8/5/2021. I was at several MAT clinics to be prescribed methadone that I ended up abusing alongside heroin to supplement my habit for those 10 years. I had a very rough decade as I am sure many of us have while using. I overdosed more times than I could count and was in and out of jail for drugs and theft. I finally got sick and tired of using especially when fentanyl hit the streets along with unknown substances being passed off as heroin. I began detoxing for 6 months to get off of methadone and switch to suboxone which I did albeit I went into PAWS for using fentanyl before my first strip. This was before Mather's at my PCP's office more than 50 miles away. My PCP was extremely cold, impatient and quick to invalidate my feelings and experiences. That's when my wife found Mather's Recovery in Fox Lake. From the moment I walked in I had felt seen. The front desk women are so incredibly kind! It also doesn't look like your typical "clinic " which feels really good. I don't have to worry about hearing people talk about using still or offering me their take homes/drugs. Lorin was assigned to me and she is hands down the most down to earth, genuine person I have ever met during this journey. She makes me feel seen, validated and treats me like an actual human being. I switched from Suboxone to Brixadi and it was the best thing I have done for my sobriety so far. The nurses are so funny and I always leave feeling like I just visited caring friends. Lorin also listened to my struggles with mental health and did not hesitate prescribing me medication that other doctors did not trust me with even though I was sober and those meds were so necessary for my continued stability. I did not have to feel like I had to keep my struggles a secret out of fear of looking like a drug seeker. I have also been struggling with my severe unmanaged ADHD that was proving to be a huge obstacle in my life. Lorin heard my story and changed my life. I have been able to manage my symptoms and get a grip on life which once proved to once be an impossible task. It changed the way my employers and coworkers treat me. Most importantly it saved my 15 year relationship with my wife. I was on the brink of a separation with her. Now she and I have been more understanding of each other and slowly growing closer again. This is my testimony of how Mather's Recovery helped me regain control of my life. I couldn't be more thankful for everyone there. I hope someone reads this and decides to give this wonderful place a chance. Lonnie

Quick, easy check in. Everyone was pleasant and professional, the phlebotomist ( Elizabeth) was spectacular, one of the best EVER!

The physician who saw me today for a routine check up went above and beyond. Dr. Doss was unhappy to hear that a previous prescription I had was unaffordable for me, so she took extra time to find an alternative but equally effective prescription option. She also was very attentive in asking about my family history and took extra care after learning that I was adopted to make sure she had an understanding that I was aware of paying attention to any possible inherent conditions and gave me not negative responses, but positive encouragement to stay on top of my health. Social distancing was in full swing at the Deerfield office, and the desk attendants were very diligent in directing patients as such.

The place was very clean, took care of me put me under and talked about fun stuff with me when I went under fixed my arm and did a very good job except when I went to IBJI highland park didn’t put padding down on my cuts and the gauze got stuck and had to use rubbing achohal to get off and it really burned. Nurses were very nice, place was clean, only in there for a couple hours and I was very happy. Gave me food and water and got I’ve in first try. Didn’t take long took me out on a wheelchair with very very very nice hot blankets and stayed there while my ride came

This was a VERY good experience for me being a first time surgery patient at the age of 43. I was scared out of my mind. Didn't know what to expect. My nurse Grace was just about as pleasant as nurse as you could possibly want. If you're lucky enough to have her at your bedside, you're stay will be way more pleasant. I don't know if I would have made it through this without having such a great nurse. Grace, thank you so much for everything. This hospital is beyond lucky to have you here. -You're former patient Joe..

I was there a few times. The LAST AND FINAL time was about 12 years ago. I was meant to be there. I actually met my husband there. Lol. These people care... they do care, if you care. Counselors can only do so much to help someone who is NOT ready for help. This was state funded. I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's better than Cook County Jail, Lake county Jail and McHenry County Jail. People lived in gutters slept on sidewalks, did anything necessary to fullfull our addictions and then go to a state funded place and complain that it is an awful place. I'll take ATP over active addiction any day. People don't realize how stressful counselors jobs are. They are dealing with some of the worst, entitled people America has to offer. A place can only do so much. They can only help you as much as you want it. If you have found yourself in ATP and are ungrateful for whatever they have to offer, you are not ready. They treated me better than I treated myself. Before he was my husband he was my bf and I got pregnant and we had a baby. When our baby was about 2, I relapsed and he ended relapsing also. He overdosed and almost died. We have never used since. He was meant to be in my life and has changed my life in soooo many ways. That's only because we were both ready to stay clean. The last thing you do is meet a man in a treatment center but God put us together there and now we have an 11 year old that has her Mom ans Dad alive and not just surviving, but thriving. It was one of those Love at first sight things for me. God told me he was meant to be in my life. Married, seperated or just co-parents, he saved my life. My memory is really bad however I still remember seeing him for then first time and I immediately loved him. So, I learned alot from ATP. It's not a full on rehab. It's more of a first step to sobriety. THANK YOU ATP FOR TAKING CARE OF ME BETTER THAN I CARED FOR MYSELF. YOU TOOK ME IN WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST. ILL NEVER FORGET WHERE MY SOBRIETY BECAME A POSSIBILITY AND THEN REALITY. NEVER THOUGHT ID GET CLEAN. EVER. IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN! THANK YOU AGAIN ATP FOR SHOWING ME RESPECT WHILE I WAS GIVING IT ALSO. The last in the reviews that said she got hit, I guarantee, you got him to that point. I've seen alot of disrespect and patients who think they are owed the world in a STATE FUNDED 2 week stay. (If I remember correctly it was 2 weeks.) YOU get back what you put out into the world. Thank You ATP for helping me get off the streets of Chicago's West side and taking me in. I had a counselor that really believed in me more than I believed in myself. Thank you! - JILL

WRS, what is there to say? I have nothing negative to say about this facility. They treated me better that I treated myself. I learned so much about myself. I still keep all my paperwork from when I was there and every now and again, look back at how my thinking has changed and how much I have matured. I will never forget how amazing all the staff is. They really really do care. Thank you for helping me save my life for my kids. I was sooo blessed and AM STILL so blessed to have such an experience. This place was like nothing else. We / I learned about triggers and the biggest for menwas learning, "When things are starting to break down, Warning signs you are in relapse or self destructive mode or having those behaviors and what to do" My memorynis bad as it's been years since I have been there, but Kendra and Amy, saw something in myself I didn't see. Everyone saw someone special in me except for me. I am so grateful to not be chasing $20 or just surviving place to place with my kids wanting their Mama and wondering where she is and why she isn't here. Now I figure out clothes and hair styles and I work and get to be a real mom without the using OBSESSION They call the "Disease of Addiction". Thank-you WRS! --WITH LOVE, JILL

WRS changed my life. Everyone there gave me the best care and treatment I needed to get and stay sober. If it were not for there help of treatment, the counseling, and the foundation they taught me I would not be sober today. I know I would not be alive. I am so grateful to them for a new lease on life. I am 3.5 years sober today.
