I attended the virtual IOP with Trish and really had a wonderful experience. The content was revenant and thorough and just some worksheets to kill time and take your money. Trish was knowledgeable, kind, and patient without being a pushover. I had been to lots of other places in lots of areas but this IOP experience, I feel, really started me on the road to recovery which I couldn’t even fathom when I started. Gentle suggestion: more classical music and peaceful or positive shows on the TV (ghost rider was constantly showing because of one resident), a spiritual care department for those that need religious support and one on one counseling instead of just group therapy! During an unexpected involuntary admission, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this facility was compared to others I have seen in my career/personal experience. This is primarily a place to be safe, not "solve" your problems; there is little actual therapy, which is not abnormal for hospitalizations. You have to be mindful of other patients, and not let them hinder your experience. Never did I feel that my safety was in danger, rather, it was the opposite; I felt safer than I ever had before. The experience is truly what you make of it. Should I ever enter a crises again, I would choose Riverbend.

This would be my second time at river bend , When faced with the decision on which place I would seek treatment at , The only place I truly knew I would get help at was river bend . The staff there are so kind and respectful. They truly understand that no one wants to be there so they do their best to make it a better experience for everyone. I spent Easter at river bend and I am so thankful for the staff who truly cared and found ways to make the day a good one. Shout out to Corey for always be a good staff and making my experience at river bend a positive one and to Mindy (not sure how to spell names) for being an awesome staff and hiding Easter eggs for us and of course Ali for being an excellent nurse and advocating for me! Also shout out Dixie for talking to me and just being an amazing nurse! Night shift tech Victoria is so kind and caring so shout out to her also . The lodge has an incredible staff of counselors and techs that absolutely cares about your recovery in a woodsy and relaxing environment that has access to a gym and 24 hour availability to people who can help with any issue that you might be having with recovery and access to food 24 hours a day ( so watch the belt line ) . Although the schedule is demanding they have a way of making seem that it is not over bearing ... They changed and saved my life and I know the staff can do the same for you if you want it ...
