If u truly wanna change ur life this place is it but u have to want it and be ready to do it 100% put ur all in like it’s ur last chance at life great counselor ‘s that care about you and nice staff that treat u human great place if ur serious about changing ur life u can have nicotine patches and lozenges no chew or cigarettes most people get kicked out when caught if ur thinking ur gonna just sit through some classes mute you are so wrong you are gonna read ur life story in front of everyone and dig deep because if it ain’t accurate do it again u will read aloud every day or give feed back to the individuals that are sharing their assignments basically you’re gonna have to put in the work or get called out on BS so if ur not wanting to truly change ur life and be clean and sober then don’t use a spot someone else could have to get clean and sober be greatful you actually have an opportunity to turn your life around and be that son or that Father or husband you know u can be sober and clean you owe ur self and the ones around you that much a lot of people dont get a chance or second chance. I went to the treatment center at Zion in Clarinda. It was the best experience. The staff was amazing. The building was clean. They made sure you were always taken care of. They helped me tremendously. I felt like a new person after 28 days. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone taking the step to recovery. My personal experience was AWESOME.

Was treated poorly when rescheduling my appointment. The person was rude and acted like she was put out. This is a place for people with mental health issues, it should be a place of understand and empathy. Not rudeness.

It was my first visit before my first chemo to get blood work done. Nicole must have seen the scared look on my face. She did the blood work and then sat me down and answered all my questions and explained what to expect the next day. I left in a much more upbeat and positive attitude. Thanks for your support.

If I never, started coming here to crossrads who knows where I'd be, but whenever I got surgery on my ❤️ heart I feel super blessed to be alive period..the people tht have recently came into my life are awesome I'm just happy! I'm sober it feels great! I really appreciate how kind and courteous everyone is. It took a while to get an initial appointment to see a new psychiatrist and therapist when I first moved to the area, but there is such a nationwide shortage of mental health workers, it's totally understandable. I now have a therapist I see twice a week, a psychiatrist I see once a month, an IHH caseworker, AND a peer support counselor all in one place! Plus, they offer telehealth, making it convenient for people like me who can't drive and have limited access to transportation.

Best treatment facility in Lincoln, I've been there 2x and I have very close friends & family that have been in recovery since they completed treatment there. I wish they took medicare or medicaid though...

My husband went through the independence center over 30 years ago. He did relapse after the first 3 months but he did not attend any aftercare or AA. Within a year he started going to AA and has been sober for almost 35 years. My son has also been through the independence center twice with varied success. He has had relapses but maintained sobriety for the majority of the time. He has used the tools he learned there to get sober again after relapsing without having to reenter treatment. The program will work for you if your honest with yourself and do the work. Good luck and god bless!

When you are ready, you are ready. I did three rehabs in the span of three summers and I’ve been sober a year and a half since going to the Independence Center.
The ENTIRE staff wass genuinely interested in my recovery. Of course it’s up to me how honest I want to be with my counselor, Chaplin and myself (and God), but their unwavering encouragement doesn’t hurt and it didn’t. The facility is much better than others I’ve been to in Nebraska and they keep the distracting extracurricular horseplay to minimum. They have a great culture and alumni in the A.A. and Lincoln communities.
Not gonna lie, these folks save lives. Their experience shows through their authenticity, understanding, and most of all, they really care about every single person who has the courage to walk through the door. The nurses, chaplains, psychiatrist, small group leaders, counselors, admins, kitchen staff, housekeeping provide wrap around care like you’ve never seen. You may have never felt so safe and supported. In a word, “phenomenal”.

Love the staff the food and pretty much everything they have to offer. A special show out to my Councilor and my Chaplain. Pay attention and go to class. Lots of can't miss education.
St Gregory Recovery Center completely changed my mindset and my life. I’ve been to treatment before, but at St. Greg’s the focus is on learning tools and creating a plan for life *after* treatment - and that made all the difference! With the help of everyone on staff (and I do mean *everyone*) my time at St. Greg’s was a positive one where I felt safe, seen and heard, understood and encouraged every day. If you are looking for a treatment center where you can really tackle your addiction, reach out to St. Greg’s. It’s the first brave step you will need to really have a chance at recovery and long-term sobriety.

I went to St. Gregory’s beginning of July and graduated after 28 days. Unfortunately I did not follow through on what I knew I needed to do in order to stay sober (AA, SMART Recovery, Wilma’s after care program, Intensive Out Patient) and ended up relapsing. I went back a month later and was welcomed with open arms, no judgement, nobody asking “what happened.” They have amazing staff that want nothing more than to see their clients succeed and the information I’ve received there is invaluable as long as I follow through on what I need to do.

This place saved my life. All of the staff members genuinely care about their clients. The structure of their program really hit home with me. They were very caring and educated on the subject matter of addiction. They provide individual counseling and therapy as well as group sessions throughout the day. They have their own personal gym with treadmills, ellipticals, weights, basketball, volleyball, pickle ball and more. You are allowed smoke breaks as well. They have a 24 hour salad bar along with three meals per day which I really enjoyed. The residents I witnessed all did a complete 180 from the time they checked in as time went along. I give all staff and the facility an A. I Definitely recommend this place to anyone suffering from alcohol or drug addiction. I met many amazing people through this place that I now get to call my friends. Special shout out to Wilma for all that she does for Saint Gregories.😊
I had a mild stroke. From the moment I arrived I was given excellent care. All Doctors, nurses and staff were attentive and communicated effectively about the procedures. They were great, and I am grateful.

Nurse Michelle in the ER and the providers were exceptional!
Dr Brank took the time to truly listen to me without hurrying me! He wanted to address all my fears and concerns and then began immediately attempting to solve what he could!! He expressed the importance of me which was greatly needed and appreciated!

Pine Lake Behavioral Health is a breath of *fresh* air. I came here at my lowest… after being passed around/neglected elsewhere… and from the day I came in, I knew they had my back.
Thorough, caring, considerate, educated and organized. Everyone here is wonderful, from the front staff to the nurses and providers. Big shout-out to Armitha, Annie, Carla and Atlanta, who’ve always keep it real and keep things moving! Thank y’all always 💕

Pine Lake Behavioral Health is the best clinic I have ever been to. I've been to other clinics in the past and consulted with various psychiatrists, but none compare to the experience here.
Jessica is the most outstanding psychiatrist I've ever had; she truly listens to your concerns and cares deeply about your wellbeing, offering the best care and treatment options available.
I entirely recommend her!! The nurses at this facility are incredible as well! They create a comfortable atmosphere and treat you like family! Effective treatment center with decades of successful alumni who help the residents succeed. Omaha is also a great place that has plenty of 2nd chance careers and affordable living. I refer anyone that is having a tough go at giving up the alcohol/drug addiction to here.
This place saved my life. You get out of treatment what you are willing to put in. I did IOP and now do continuing care here. You meet people from all walks of life and it is that exact thing that helped me understand finally the psychic change necessary to avoid alcohol and grow connections with people.

I am the child of two parents who met at an AA meeting over thirty years ago. My mom and dad split when I was little because my dad was unable to defeat his demons. When I was 9 he overdosed for the final time on heroin. The last time I saw him was in prison. I’ve spent most of my twenties filling that emptiness with different substances such as alcohol, weed, painkillers, adderall, and most recently kratom. My substance abuse was destroying my relationship with my family.
I’ve always reached to something hoping to numb the pain of my reality, but currently I’m reaching for a different sort of healing. I’ve been blessed to have been put into Jason’s group. I am attending meetings three days a week and still struggle in my day to day, but I have learned that it’s okay not to always feel okay. Becoming sober has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. My performance at work has improved, my friendships are getting better, and I am learning to love myself. My biggest motivation to get healthy is my beautiful family. They deserve a father they can be proud of and I will continue with the program until I know I can trust myself to continue on my own.
Everyday presents its own challenges, but it is good knowing that there are people like Jason who care about what happens to me. He challenges the way I think and is one of the main reasons I decided to stick it out with the program. He is truly someone who practices what he preaches, and there is a part of me that doesn’t want to let him down.
If you have fallen victim to addiction, I promise that if you give valley hope a chance and buy into the program that you will start to like the person you see in the mirror again. I’ve hated myself for most of my life and have attempted suicide multiple times. For the first time in a long time I feel as though i can see a light at the end of the tunnel. For so long it was only darkness. I always wore a mask in public that was hiding the pain I felt in my heart. I am thankful my wife pushed me towards this program and I really want to continue towards being able to control my life and my impulses. My children deserve to have the father that I was never afforded. I don’t trust many people, but Jason has earned my respect and is ultimately why I decided to continue. I believe with his guidance and the program that valley hope provides that I will be able to stay on the path towards a better and fulfilling life. I’m not perfect and it’s possible I will make mistakes along the road to sobriety, but I do know that I will never let substances control my life again. I truly believe that. It’s okay to ask for help sometimes. Find your reason and realize that we have but one life in this beautiful world. Don’t continue to let those precious moments be stolen by a substance. Happiness comes from within, not from a bottle. If your reading this, know that there is always time to change the path. It isn’t an easy way to travel, but I have to believe that it is worth it. I’m gonna keep working towards long term sobriety for the sake of my family but also for the sake of my soul. Thank you Valley Hope

I was recently hospitalized for a relatively minor medical condition. The company I work for has an arduous process for returning to work after being laid off for medical reasons.
I desperately needed to be seen on short notice so that I could return to work. The staff at the Lincoln V.A. worked with me diligently. My primary care physician, Sasha Grantski, went above and beyond her normal duties to "squeeze" me in for an appointment.
Thanks to her and the Lincoln V.A. staff, I am back to work. I am extremely grateful.

I haven't personally been a patient here, but I have had several friends complete the inpatient program for substance abuse, and they all seemed to like it. I know you can still smoke cigarettes, but no cell phones the first few weeks and limited if any contact at all with the outside world. It's coed, so that probably helps people when making a decision for an inpatient facility. Especially when we're talking 30+ days or more, detoxing off any and all things good, lol! The entrance to check in is tricky to find too, it's actually on the back side, or really, it might even be the side of the building under an awning. Hit the buzzer, and someone comes to help you get checked in.

This Center is the best in Omaha probably the best in the country from the staff to the guest or clients that reside there I'm from California and I have never experienced such kindness, humbleness people with good hearts that are willing to help you overcome what challenges you may have. This is the third VA facility I've dealt with. They are the best by far. When I have to bring my young children with me, the staff are always so friendly and interactive eith them. Not every visit has gone as planned, but the hiccups were understandable and efforts were made to mitigate them.

I’ve unfortunately been to 9 inpatient treatments in Iowa and Hazelden in Minnesota. Powell is easily the best one in Iowa and their programming and staff are right on par with Hazelden. Which is one of the best (maybe the best) treatment in the USA. I highly recommend Powell if you or a loved one is serious about getting sober. They know what it takes to get sober and more importantly what to do to stay sober! 5 ⭐️

Powell CDC saved my life in 2020 I will forever carry the values I learned from them, I'm very grateful and sober.
I’ve been a patient here since 2016. My life is completely different and will continue to be thanks to the offering of medication assisted sobriety. The number one priority is you communicate with your counselor and the Doctor. Once you reach the dose your body needs the real changes begin. No more will you have to just get through the day because you’re sick or spend your entire paycheck to try and get enough to get through another week. The staff is made up of angels. Everyone is there to help us get better and live better. If you’re sick of being sick give the program a try. They only requirements are the desire for a better life and to stop abusing.
