I have been with Pawnee for several years. I have PTSD that I have been carrying around most of my life undiagnosed by many therapist & Dr's until Pawnee Mental Health here in Junction City, KS. Whom finally gave me a name that others I felt ignored or didn't catch. Pawnee showed me what it was and it had a name. They showed me this by going over what I had enclosed to them from my own answers and within my first few appointments, I was diagnosed and an action plan was given to me right away. I have felt important and safe with Pawnee right away and I still do.

In 8th grade I got sent here, I thought it would be bad and that I would hate it, but to be honest it wasn’t bad at all. I remember waking up the next morning after being sent there at night, and everyone was so nice and caring. We got to do fun activities, we got breakfast lunch, and dinner. We even got a PE class, my favorite part was downtime when we got to stay in the room by ourselves, I wouldn’t say this place fixed everything but it taught me new coping skills.
