I been going to them for a very long time. They help my son and husband. However, ever since the med Dr left and my son got a new one, it seems like they do not return calls or anything. My son takes a med that can't be refilled. His old med Dr would do a 3 months script so he wouldn't run out. I called last week, pharmacy sent them something last week and nothing. This med he takes is important and he has been out since Saturday. I like their services but now I wonder if I need to find another Dr to do the meds. Very frustrating. Hands down on therapy services and everything.

I used to visit this Topeka VA center frequently and some times had to go to Leavenworth and KC. I relocated to the Tulsa, OK area. I was never displeased with the VAMC in Topeka, usually content and satisfied. I did not know how good I had it! I miss the Topeka VA very much. The Oklahoma system state wide is bad and Tulsa in particular. It is leagues behind in all categories. Topeka is a very good facility with good friendly staff and nicer and more thoughtful amenities to boot. I have experienced the contrast.

I'm only going to comment on how they have been recently (last 5 years) and they are great. I go there every month for schedule meds, and I'm never there longer then 30 min. I've had a great Neurologist (Dr.Shi) for years now, and yes GP changes a lot.

This is a good option if you need help with addiction recovery. My feedback about the 28 day program is that this is a serious, vigorous road to get better. Mirror also guides clients on to the next step, which is often an Oxford House or other sober living plan. They'll help with vocational rehab and making contacts in the community-like churches and alumni willing to help. My counselor Jamie is the best but all the staff are devoted to clients. The other clients in recovery will be all sorts with different backgrounds. You will make friends with as many or as few sober people as you like! Family and friends visitation is once a week. An optional 2 mile jog and weights are available for exercise. The food is plentiful and you will have a chore. Chores are.loke helping in the kitchen or mopping floors, etc. Call ahead for a bed as there is sometimes a wait-list. Don't expect easy and fun, and expect lots of AA/NA meetings. But there's plenty of downtime for TV, reading and an occasional nap. This and Velejo are probably your best 2 options for addiction recovery in Topeka.

I came in from Leavenworth having never been to treatment before & unsure of what to expect. In the first 5 minutes of arrival I was met by Nick & Gordon who (along with the other amazing staff) helped guide me through my recovery journey. I felt like I was in the right place immediately. All of the staff were ex-addicts who knew exactly what I was going through & showed me the tools I could use to stay sober. 11+ months sober & I love my life! Not a day goes by that I don't think about my time there & how they helped me and so many others. I love EVERYTHING about my time there. In fact I recall a conversation with Nick asking if I could stay for another 30 days. Thank you Mirror Topeka for saving my life.

Walking into rehab was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done. I expected cold halls, awkward silence, and feeling completely alone. Instead, I found people who slowly helped stitch pieces of me back together, sometimes gently, sometimes with tough love, and sometimes while laughing so hard I forgot where I even was for a minute. This place was equal parts therapy, life lessons, emotional damage repair shop, and accidental comedy show. The staff somehow mastered the art of being strict enough to keep us alive while still making us feel deeply cared for. That takes a special kind of magic. To the staff: thank you for seeing people instead of problems. Thank you for the hard conversations, the warm smiles, the accountability, the comfort, and the moments that made us feel human again. To the women there with me: you were some of the strongest people I’ve ever met. Recovery is not pretty every day, but neither is becoming a butterfly, and somehow we were all learning how to grow wings in there. Sobriety isn’t the end of life, it’s the beginning of finally getting to live it. Thank you for helping me find pieces of myself again. I walked in terrified, and I walked out hopeful. The only problem that I have with Burtnash is they don’t have enough therapists. They let a lot go because of cutbacks. This really hurt there quality of staff. I have a top notch therapist,this person has been here for me no matter.

I am so happy I was referred to the guidance center. After suffering several crises, I didn’t know where to turn and ended up inpatient . After coming out of inpatient care, I was so nervous to go back to daily life. I was referred to the Giidence Center and the team that I have working with me are amazing! Shout out to Ellie, Mindy and Sara ❤️ The team is always kind caring and supportive answers all my questions and helps me find additional supports when I need it. I can’t say enough about this place!

I have been with Pawnee for several years. I have PTSD that I have been carrying around most of my life undiagnosed by many therapist & Dr's until Pawnee Mental Health here in Junction City, KS. Whom finally gave me a name that others I felt ignored or didn't catch. Pawnee showed me what it was and it had a name. In 8th grade I got sent here, I thought it would be bad and that I would hate it, but to be honest it wasn’t bad at all. I remember waking up the next morning after being sent there at night, and everyone was so nice and caring. We got to do fun activities, we got breakfast lunch, and dinner. We even got a PE class, my favorite part was downtime when we got to stay in the room by ourselves, I wouldn’t say this place fixed everything but it taught me new coping skills.

This would be my first time ever being admitted to a mental health facility and let me tell you the best place to go everybody there is so sweet and caring and worried about you and your health and they get you what you need. I would recommend this hospital to anybody and everybody. The staff is so amazing. I cannot explain it enough. I adore every single one of you. Thank you for taking your time to listen to me. The staff actually care about their clients by never making them feel judged. They equip addicts with so much knowledge on coping skills and information on why the human mind thinks like it does. Learning how to think properly was one of the most important steps that led to my recovery in 2019. If you want help, you have to practice what you learn!!!
