I was terrified to admit I had a problem and terrified to accept help but the moment I arrived at Valley Hope- that all changed! I finally felt like people understood what I had been silently struggling with! That was over four years ago and I have not had a drink since. I’m forever grateful to Valley Hope of Atchison and recommend it to anyone who thinks they may have a problem with drugs or alcohol.

That place helps save my life. All the counselors were amazing. The nurses were very knowledgeable and caring. the kitchen. Staff is awesome. They encourage me to get a sponsor to work the 12 steps. Which is very, very important in recovery.VH wanted me to call other sober people daily, That’s funny encourage me to do the same thing. Encourage me to get involved with the fellowship and my sponsor deal also. The facilities were very nice chocolate milk, 24 seven, Pickle ball, And places just to sit and have a fellowship with other people. And I used to chapel. I would definitely recommend Valley Hope to anybody looking for a safe , world class staff , To help them start A Journey to long-term recovery.

Great recovery program with counselors that you can trust with all your needs. Food service is outstanding. Just be careful you can put on lbs. All the staff are outstanding and willing to help with anything. Love this place!!

Best treatment facility in Lincoln, I've been there 2x and I have very close friends & family that have been in recovery since they completed treatment there. I wish they took medicare or medicaid though...

My husband went through the independence center over 30 years ago. He did relapse after the first 3 months but he did not attend any aftercare or AA. Within a year he started going to AA and has been sober for almost 35 years. My son has also been through the independence center twice with varied success. He has had relapses but maintained sobriety for the majority of the time. He has used the tools he learned there to get sober again after relapsing without having to reenter treatment. The program will work for you if your honest with yourself and do the work. Good luck and god bless!

When you are ready, you are ready. I did three rehabs in the span of three summers and I’ve been sober a year and a half since going to the Independence Center. The ENTIRE staff wass genuinely interested in my recovery. Of course it’s up to me how honest I want to be with my counselor, Chaplin and myself (and God), but their unwavering encouragement doesn’t hurt and it didn’t. The facility is much better than others I’ve been to in Nebraska and they keep the distracting extracurricular horseplay to minimum. They have a great culture and alumni in the A.A. and Lincoln communities.
