Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. My son has been here before. He is no longer a younger man, n has been to many rehabs. He states this is the best in state of Md. The staff is respectful of the patients needs. Although I can't contact him for encouragement, his counselor makes sure he gets a chance to call home.
I visited Arundel Lodge’s mental health Urgent Care during a mental health/domestic violence crisis where I was unhoused and very unwell. I had been discharged prematurely and without proper treatment by the AAMC ED twice, BWMC ED twice, and Harbor Hospital ED once, even with a ongoing case file from police and Crisis Response, as well as a petition for treatment by an Officer. I was exhausted, sick, diagnosed with ketoacidosis from lack of nutrition and just wanted genuine clinical answers/help and not discrimination. The lovely receptionist immediately treated me with kindness and sympathy when I walked in with my bags, taking them and I back to a room immediately. Dr. Julie Seaman was able to evaluate and prescribe medication for my situation, and for the first time in years, I feel as though I have been prescribed the proper medication regimen for my Bipolar 1. With this care and reassurance, I was able to gather myself and regain control of the situation. Thank you for all you do here at Arundel Lodge. Kindness and compassion goes a long, long way!

I’ve had nothing but a great experience they actually care. Tiffany and Megan the receptionists are the sweetest and have even offered for me to call and just talk, after hours. I love them. Dr. Seamen is a saint and deserves more than she’s recognized for. I’ve been treated with nothing but love and care and it’s super refreshing, Dr. S even referred me to a psychiatrist, Dr. Mary Beth and I’m sure it’ll be as good treatment as ever. It feels amazing longingly be heard/treated and not just pushed medicine.

While my brother left the shelter (as we all know being unhoused is a very complicated issue), the people case managers etc. all followed through with every aspect of this program. If you look at the website and compare his experience; Light House Shelter delivered on every single goal they set to accomplish with him. He is doing very well and about to move into an apartment, and couldn't be more thankful. This is how you approach complicated societal issues. Also, volunteering here is made very accessible. The sign up genius makes it so easy. AND the restaurant is an amazing program with delicious food. Annapolis and the surrounding area is so very lucky to have Light House.

Counselors are compassionate and really want you to succeed. If you don’t complete the program it is 100% your fault. Only program that has transportation and an open door group policy.

I cannot rave highly enough about MCOP Annapolis and their entire crew! I have been an AK amputee since 1975 and have cycled thru 25-30 different prosthetics providers during that time. It took me almost 50 years to find my perfect one! Charlie Kelly understood how unique and challenging my particular situation was and took the time and effort to make one that is exactly suited to what I need/ want. I am eternally grateful to him, James, Lexus, Jenn and the others who have made me a very happy and grateful client!

I just went in for my first appointment here and the whole experience just blew me away. So far beyond my expectations. Super knowledgeable people and the whole time they were focused on the long term recovery and development and not just a quick fix. I highly recommend them and if you're getting a prescription for an orthotic or prosthesis, I'd recommend getting it filled here.
The treatment center helped me greatly, with the huge difference being the awesome staff. The staff was always more than helpful all the time and went out of their way all the time. Truly, the staff made the experience. Thank you!

I stayed here for a month and it was a great experience. the staff was extremely helpful and caring. I never felt more tended to. The food was ok it was more the environment that helped relax me. They had the whole place being cleaned and it made me feel comfortable. The therapists were very encouraging and I feel like I couldn't have gotten to this place in my life without them. I appreciate everything that was done for me and how I was treated

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. They are all very passionate about their job and they make u feel welcomed and safe . I honestly believe if you are willing to chose recovery Chrysalis House will and can help 💯

From the moment I got on the phone with them, I felt like someone actually heard me . They didn’t push me or judge me—just straight up helped me figure out what I needed. The place had a super chill energy, kind of like a breath of fresh air after all the chaos I’d been through .What hit different was the way they blended structure with real understanding. It wasn’t just "do this, follow that"—they actually asked what worked for me. Big win. I got my head clear, my heart a little lighter, and finally feel like I’m not stuck anymore 🎧.

My experience from day one, has been extremely positive. I have had support presently and in the past. All the Staff are very positive, supporting and fight for you, when you might need a little more extra help, due to some mental issues or physical, or emotional. They are there for you 100% . I want to mention My Counselor, Ms. D. Herrera... She is the Best, Most, Supportive, Positive, Strong and Caring Counselor-(Drug).... I have ever had. She has been a Drug Counselor and a Therapist for Me all in One. I Love Her with All My Heart!!!!! SHE IS FANTASTIC... THE BEST.. I'M SO BLESSED & GRATEFUL THAT SHE IS A PART... Doctor Doza is a great psychiatrist. He helps you with any problems you have and when you first see him he reviews all your previous medications and only prescribes the ones you need. I definitely recommend you see him and make him your permanent psychiatrist.

The people at this facility are amazing, and simply are saving lives. I would ignore the anon person below, they are likely incompetent or fail to understand the true nature of SUD treatment. The cops and the local hospital are incompetent as well, and often are extremely unprofessional. I would do your due diligence and take in many points of data - my child left the facility changed and for the better

A family member attended Sandstone for mental health and addiction treatment. After numerous attempts at other facilities, Sandstone was truly the catalyst for change. My family member is doing well and I'm deeply grateful that Sandstone was able to open their eyes in a way no other program was able to. The staff was professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring - something we hadn't experienced to this level at other places.

Dana Rader was my provider when I visited Chase Brexton, Mt.Vernon Center. She was very keen to listen to me. She offered advice and made me feel like all my concerns were addressed during the visit. Services offered were just the way I expected and beyond. Would definitely recommend her.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.
As someone who goes to this place every week, I am happy to say that everyone that is in this organization is so kind and caring; they make me feel welcomed, and they do their best to help me if I am in need.

The services for veterans are good for helping veterans get back their self worth back. They provide shelter and help with common needs for veterans. There are opportunities for veterans to get help for those dealing with addition. They also help veterans who are looking for shelter on a temporary basis. I would recommend veterans who are facing a difficult time to give the Helping Up Mission a chance to help them reclaim their lives with dignity and respect. Mr. Rasheed Savage will get you the help that you need and he is very professional in his approach to helping people, especially veterans.

I stayed inpatient here back in 2018 and the people who worked here helped shape my recovery story today. 5 star recovery from Detox to coming into the Nilsson House. One thing I like about this place is the groups and the other gentlemen I get to do recovery with. I also like the activities. Also the preparation to be a very good member of society once I live this house place
