I arrived at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt suffering from severe obsessive-compulsive and body dysmorphic disorders. Jon Hershfield and the OCD team provided me with exceptionally skilled treatment so I could return home to a significantly higher-quality, more productive, and happier life. I worked specifically with Jon, Molly, and Rebecca (the entire team is fantastic), and they are without a doubt the most knowledgeable, compassionate, intentional, and collaborative clinicians with whom I have ever worked over the course of my 30+ year journey with OCD. They educated me on my conditions and empowered me to build the skills and tools necessary to live with and effectively manage these chronic illnesses. They worked closely with my psychiatrist and social worker on my care team at the Retreat to create a holistic approach to recovery. They also ensured that I was discharged with a comprehensive plan to execute with my psychologist at home. I highly recommend them and am eternally grateful for their life-changing care.

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared. I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys! The Retreat is a clean, friendly, attentive and professional place to go if you are experiencing mental health problems. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn’t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication. I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much. I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!

I literally owe my life to Hope's Horizon and all of the amazing staff there. Getting sober is one of the hardest things to do. It's a complete reset of your life. It gets a little less difficult each day, but it's never easy. I couldn't have done it without everyone there though. I definitely recommend Hopes Horizon if you've finally decided that you're done living the same hell every day. They'll help you every step of the way, but you have to want it and you have to work for it. IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN (EVEN YOU!) Thank you Hope's Horizon! CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

Well- very good methadone program. You are assigned a counselor. You attend groups to help keep you sober. They do drug test with surprise drug test weekly monthly depending on how long you have been with the program and if your urine are clean. They understand relapses happen. My favorite part is if you give clean urines-see your counselor-go to groups-report to recalls- you do earn take homes. You start out coming to medmark 6 days a week. But you can earn take homes after a few months and only have to come in every 2 weeks or once a month. Best decision of my life.

Right Turn was a great decision I made for myself. The entire staff is caring, compassionate and non-judgmental. RT, professional , educated and maintaining that authenticity, integrity and "realness" which is crucial in recovery. Really showing up , investing in myself! Retraining, focusing like an athlete, for my personal best, It's not just being sober, it's a lifestyle. Alcohol is just not an option now. With all I've gained, I value! I'm grateful for time and love ..every moment of my life..how am I going to use it? If you are struggling, even in silence, just reach out and Right Turn will hold your hand to help guide you. Guide you to that "peace, that surpasses all understanding"! Thank you Right Turn! My review is not of the hospital overall but for the PA that cared for my Son while he was there with a spinal fluid leak that came after a lumbar puncture there at Carroll Hospital. The PA on his case was Jose Cuevas PA-C and he went above and beyond to try to get my very medically complex son transferred to another facility for care as the procedure he needed was not something they do there with someone with a bleeding disorder among other many complex medical issues. After over 2 weeks we finally had to be discharged and went to Johns Hopkins where he still is inpatient. I was frustrated and upset that we had to go through the ER at Hopkins to get care because no hospitals would allow or had a bed to transfer but that wasn’t the PA fault and I just wanted to leave a review for him and the patient experience woman that helped us.

It has been my intention to update my review for a while now, however I would get caught up in one thing or another and forget. I am absolutely pleased with the level of respect and professionalism that my family has received here. From the moment that we step foot inside, we are greated with pleasant smiles and warm welcomes. The staff is amazing and the same impression I have received in person carries over through phone conversations. I am so thankful that I decided to give them a real chance and not let one bad apple spoil this experience for my family. To anyone who may be looking for a place to go for help, I would highly encourage you to give Health Care Living at Lord Baltimore Dr a chance. I recommend them whenever I can. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the people who call you on the phone, to the doctors, the mentors, and the therapist are awesome! Everyone here works with you to assure that your family receives the quality of care that is needed. I wish every business operated in the same manner. To the Health Care Living staff, I want to apologize for not updating my review sooner. A bad review could equal disaster for a business, and I realize that. It was never my intention to cause any harm to this businesses reputation and I truly hope that did not happen. My initial review and one star rating was not a reflection of the business in its entirety nor in general, but rather of an unfortunate experience with one individual. Again, I want to apologize to you all at Health Care Living and I appreciate you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
