I was very impressed with my experience here today! I read the reviews prior to going and it made me quite skeptical, but overall I would highly recommend this facility. I arrived a little after 11am and it wasn't busy in there at all. The young lady at the front desk was very polite and warmly greeted me as I walked in. She listened very well during the check in process. It took less than 10 minutes to be called back by the triage nurse and then I was immediately placed in a room. I had the pleasure of being serviced by the nurse Lorraine and I tell you she is an angel! Throughout my entire visit, she was so caring, attentive, and nurturing to the point where I felt like I was family. She made me feel at ease and continuously checked on me to make sure I was good. Lorraine provides the type of care that every patient would need! If I ever needed to return, I'd ask for her and only hope that she's there again! The doctor was amazing as well! Dr. Pierson was the ER doctor and he has such a welcoming personality! Very lively person and thoroughly explains everything to you giving much peace of mind. He was attentive to all of my concerns and made sure to have the appropriate testing done. I was in and out of there in about 2 hours! I've worked in healthcare for years and have also been to many facilities and this was one of the best experiences I've had. Great staff, clean facility, and overall comfortable environment. Tranquility Woods is an exceptional rehab facility that truly cares about their clients and wants to see them succeed. The staff are very friendly and the facility is beautiful. I am not sure if I was just lucky but the group of people that were also clients at the time of my stay have become close friends of mine after treatment and many, including myself, have remained sober. I know that all the counselors were generally well liked by the clients and almost everyone says that theirs was the best. But I would have to say mine was the best (thank you, Luke). He helped open my eyes to AA and I am well on my way to 90+ meetings in 90 days and having a lot of fun doing it. That is hard to believe given that a month and a half ago I was completely against the idea of going to AA for various reasons. Those reasons have since been debunked.
I also want to add that the food is excellent. The chefs know their stuff and are happy to share their knowledge with you.

Program is better than what people tell you. You don’t realize how could you have it until you transfer to a different program. If you looking to get clean and get your life in order and become the best version of yourself. this is the place for you. Staff are down to earth and the counselors are very helpful and the program director is a reflection of the men in treatment. He been where we are at in life and fought like hell to become a better man. But don’t with him because he will call you on your shit. Only problem I have is the food. It’s not the greatest but it’s edible lol you’ll be fine

My experience was great since the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted wonderfully. I was taken to the PHP house after checking in and provided a room with ease. I felt welcome the whole time I was there. It all made sense from the morning meetings to the evening meetings. Everything and everyone was there as scheduled and I received all type of recovery care with in minutes of requesting it. The Freedom Center goes above and beyond for acommadations. It has made me a better Anthony and I will forever be greatful to The Freedom Center.
Remember all, just trust the process and take it one day at a time. By the end, the scariest part is going back to the normal life.

I never knew urgent medical care could be provided with so much caring empathy, and investment in the patient's wellbeing.
The last few days I've basically lived at the VHC. My mom had a quadruple bypass. During the procedure my dad had to go to the emergency room for severe chest pains. Every step, every nurse, every doctor, were incredibly invested in the health and well-being of my parents.

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. I drank everyday for 17 years following my return from service overseas. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to my needs as well as the others I met in residential treatment. They definitely were able to reach the root of my alcohol addiction and help put forth a plan for my continued success. I am almost 3 months sober and truly haven't felt better in my life. Overall a worthwhile clinic for anyone living in the core of the city. The primary physicians are excellent; I've known four of them there. Staff is a mixed bag - one called me a "snitch" when I notified the desk that a patient was screaming at a physician. It's Baltimore, right? There are always two attentive security guards. The dental office and pharmacy are both good enough. The social workers make effort. I even tried the mental health floor, which did not help me much. Overall, I do recommend Chase Brexton at Charles & Chase streets.
