I was a resident of Berkshire Farms from August 25th 1995 to August 25th of 1996. I was in pole hahn cottage. I remember Mr Daniels, Mr Pinkston, Matt the overnight guy Dell. We loved out because he used to smoke cigarettes and could never smell if we were smoking because he was so old and always fell asleep in the chair at night. Mr Burke. I remember Lonis he was in a strong man competition or tough man fighting competition or something like that. Remember black guy Mr Evans he was a good friend of Mike Tyson. I remember Vinny from naughty by nature serving us food one day in the chow hall. Lot of memories from that place
From there I was shipped to the Schrader house group home in Yaphank on Long Island. It has now been taken over by The game farm.

I have been a client at BEST for about a year and a half. Going there was the best decision of my life. My counselor Pallavi is the most loving, caring, mindful person you could ever meet. From the first meeting we had, I knew she would be good for my soul, and since then she has gotten to know me quite well.
Pallavi runs a really special Saturday group. She has touched each one of us in her special way. For me personally, she has taught me so much about spiritual healing and inner strength.
I also had the opportunity to work with counselor Jeff who is another great counselor at BEST. He is so patient and understanding and honest, you just know you could tell him anything and not be judged, but more important I always felt safe. He goes out of his way to help, and he counseled me thru some very rough times.
The ladies at the front desk, Ali, Jacki, Kayla, Rae-Rae are always warm and welcoming even when we have to do those awkward tox’s.
I would highly recommend BEST as a great place to help in your recovery and mental health.

Over the course of a few years I have had two terrible experiences with this outpatient clinic. The first was when my brother, who is developmentally disabled, depressed and suffers with dementia (I am his live-in caregiver) was dropped as a patient with no warning or notification. Probably because they are understaffed, but this was an, unethical, irresponsible and unacceptable way to deal with their lack of providers. We only discovered this lapse when the pharmacy could no longer refill his prescriptions. That left him without a provider to prescribe his three critical psych meds which he takes daily. I was unable to find another clinic accepting new patients and our primary caregiver was unwilling to prescribe these types of meds. I tried to contact the director of the clinic about this many times but she never ever returned my calls. I finally contacted the Rensselaer County Commissioner of Mental Health by email with our problem. She responded immediately and was able to get the Samaritan Hospital Behavioral Health clinic to put my brother back on their patient roster with a psychiatrist to manage his meds. I am so grateful for her intervention on my brother's behalf. Yet disgusted that I had to jump through such hoops to remedy the situation because of how poorly this clinic is managed. My most recent problem is this: it has taken me a full week and 7 phone calls to get my psych provider to respond to my messages regarding the narcotic she recently prescribed for me as a sleep aid and the fact that I am actually sleeping less with this new medication. Unprofessional and irresponsible! I no longer trust this clinic or any of its providers to uphold a standard of care that reflects any respect for their patients.

I just need to have my insurance cover bc it’s expensive and taking from my kids and I cannot keep borrowing. 0 stars. My family member voluntarily admitted himself. He stated that he wanted me involved in the process as much as the facility would allow. They made me leave immediately at intake, with no information, didn't allow me to use the toilet after driving over an hour to get him there. It then took 4 phone calls (one per hour) after nearly 24 hours before I heard anything from anyone. There was zero information given to either of us at any point and the website lacks anything specific. I am assuming only because I called and left numerous messages, spoke to his case manager before he had a chance to. He expressed some concerns to me regarding next steps, which I have yet to be informed of. I called 3 times and was unable to reach, anyone. His case manager never gave me her extension. I would NEVER reccomend this horrible facility to even my worst enemy. People are there trying to HEAL and he feels as though he is not receiving the care and treatment as some of the other patients. He also doesn't feel as though he should be treated like a prisoner, when he is there on his own volition. If I could rate this with a negative star, I would. Absolutely awful.

40 Coventry St, Hartford CT.
I’ve had a very good experience with InterCommunity Health. The staff is welcoming, respectful, and genuinely cares about patient well-being. From the front desk to the doctors and counselors, everyone takes the time to listen and provide support without judgment.
Their integrated approach to healthcare—covering physical, behavioral, and mental health—makes it easier to get comprehensive care in one place. The medical team explains treatment options clearly and works with you to find what fits best.
Wait times can vary, but overall, the quality of care and compassion shown by the providers more than make up for it. They also offer helpful resources for recovery, wellness, and community support, which shows they’re truly invested in helping people improve their lives.

Massachusetts is ranked 27th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,725.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Massachusetts vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Massachusetts. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance.
