my old friend referred me to this place and got sober here 2 weeks before i did. i never thought living a sober life was possible for me, it wasn t until i saw my friend with my own eyes (who was using as much as me) that if this place got her sober, maybe they can do the same for me. by the grace of god, i am so blessed and proud to be able and say that i am 2.5 years sober today thanks to Laura and Dr. Julia at ARD! they truly care about every single patient and Laura is still here for me years later for anything i need! truly one of the best investments you can make for yourself if you re struggling with addiction. laura even helped me financially so i could get ketamine treatments after detoxing! i did 2 or 3 ketamine treatments and they were instrumental in my recovery process in terms of letting go of grief and pain i was holding onto. i could go on for days about how grateful i am to and for ARD for helping me take those first steps into sobriety when i was too scared to take them on my own, they held my hand every step of the way and filled my heart with the love and strength i needed to battle my addiction! thank you so much Laura and Dr julia again! i am one life that you guys have saved and my family is so happy that they ve gotten their daughter back: )

Enjoy giving food to the Salvation Army instead of throwing away. I lost my wife recently and had more food than I could eat, so I called them and they was very nice on the phone where to drop the food off, when I arrived, they brought a cart out food put on cart and off I went. At the heart of what I love about River s Bend is therapist Julia Greenbaum. I initially struggle to open up but she has met me where I m at mentally and changed my life. Although the entire facility is professional and courteous, Julia takes her standard of care to places I have never seen the bar raised to before. Her methods are down-to-earth yet professional, her insights are relevant, her empathy is tangible, and she goes above and beyond to be there for her clients. I lived for 9 months and I really liked it very much. They had adult sized tricycles in 2015.I would ride them around on the property to and from the Scripps Mansion and to the circle drive near the men s treatment center. I tried riding to and from the gym/ physical therapy building where the business offices and printing press for the magazine journal. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended .

I am a skeptic when it comes to doctors and clinicians because of past experience with both myself and my children. But I can say with total confidence that Easterseals has done an amazing job helping my daughters and myself cope and adapt in a healthy way to live successfully in todays world. I can t imagine being a teenager now a days, and as a parent, I would do anything to help my girls get through these tough years. Colleen has done a wonderful job helping us communicate even if it s uncomfortable for both of us. She helped save my beautiful daughter from going into a very dark place. I see some do not share the same experiences we have with Easterseals, but I ve been in and out with my girls over the years, and between the staff, docs, and therapists, they have all done an amazing job, considering what they too, have to deal with day in and day out. At times my girls had to change therapists in the middle of treatment, but they did an alright job matching them with someone similar. And if they are ready and willing to change, and it s explained that stuff like this happens, we got through it. It s hard to keep constant staff on hand all the time, so I understood. We have been going here for years. We ve seen a few doctors and therapists. I have never had any issues with any of the staff, doctors, or therapists. We re always treated well. If you re looking for pediatric/ adolescent care I highly recommend Dr. Greer. As far as therapists go Sarah Mathew and Elissa Redman are amazing!

Update 3/20/25: Upon leaving this review, the medical director here went absolutely above and beyond to fix any issues that I had and went completely out of their way to accommodate my needs on a level I ve never experienced at any doctors office in my life. In fact, I m incredibly grateful for the doctors here, and although their front desk staff could clearly use some work in professionalism and providing proper compassionate care to patients, especially around the holidays, I must say this place is lead with compassionate, heartfelt, loving people who truly care about their patients. I wish that was more obvious from the beginning. I thank Easterseals for the way they went above and beyond for me. Thank youOriginal Review 12/20/24: Once again, I just called to figure out how to proceed with a prior authorization in 2025 with the medical assistant because my medication will no longer be covered by my insurance in 2025. While the medical assistant and I were communicating, someone working there in the background began screaming and shouting at me in the most unbelievably rude unprofessional manner. Literally shouting and screaming at me in the background. I did not raise my voice one single time. I am so unbelievably shocked I am genuinely afraid for my health and wellbeing regarding my professional health with this company. I have been trying to call back to speak to a supervisor just to make sure my medication is being taken care of and I am getting ignored over and over again at the front desk. This feels intentional and I am begging someone from this company to please contact me directly. The stress and toll this is taking on my mental health is making my mental health even worse when this establishment was supposed to help mental health in our community. This service has saved my life and many others.From my perspective, if Bio-Med can not help you, then perhaps you're not ready to be in recovery.This facility has many great social services available to those who need them or seek help in conquering SUD.Patience is necessary when being treated here, but I've not ever had to wait an inappropriate amount of time for services at this location. That is subjective to each person's perspective. I encourage clients to remember how long and difficult life is/was before enrolling in the program at this facility. Waiting on a plug or hook-up could take all day plus some time compared to a mediocre wait at a caring facility such as this.It's safe here and full of folks that truly care. I hope this will encourage even 1 person to exit their struggle and begin to recover with Bio-Med's assistance.Best of luck to all who struggle.

I'm gonna just come right out and tell everyone that is reading this, I was at Harbor Oaks Hospital 3-15-25 till 3-24-25 and while I was there the staff on the Older Adult Unit are truly amazing people the BHA's Behavior Health Atociate really do a lot of work to keep the unit's safe it's as if they're the one's on the front line I'd love to mention everyone by name but I won't for a few reasons, on Friday 3-22-24 I had one hell of hard day but the staff kept reaching out to me to see if they can help out in anyway I mentioned no I just need to be by myself and it's cool because they did let me have my space but also made sure I was safe as well, all I can do is say thank you to the entire team on the Older Adult Unit as I've said I was safe and taken great care of by everyone

Very reliable case manager and very nice. Always answers my phone call when I need to get a hold of her. Also very professional too. Same goes with my psychiatrist. I highly recommend this place they treat you with respect. They truly care about you. Never had issues scheduling with appointments. Always had reminders for appointments. And they were always on time with my appointments. Even when I had emergencies they got me in right away. Also to add my peer support is amazing she's very sweet thankful to have her. The nurse is also good too. I'm thankful to have all their support. Never had a great team like this. They know what they're doing and take the time to make sure you're ok and safe. No complaints whatsoever.

I believe Sandy needs to work the front desk while she was so sure l owed $295.00 that ld already paid... She was very persistent with her claim.... I'm very surprised at all the poor reviews but I've been very happy with my therapist and psychiatrist. I've been going here for several years and other than the front desk being a bit on the rude side, everything else has been great. I guess it really depends on the therapist and psychiatrist you have. I'm giving four stars because of the front desk.

I have been see Elizabeth virtually on and off for months now. She is extremely professional and kind and is well educated in mental health. I also see Dr. Haque for medication and he is the same. He puts your health first when prescribing medication and stays on top of dosing when you are struggling. The front desk is always kind on the phone and with billing as well.

Our kids have been seeing Ms. Heather a therapist that works with children about 6 months now and I have to write this review today because she is amazing and the world should know also to help potential patients find a good child therapist. As a parent dealing with any psychological or emotional issues I could not ask for a better person she has went above her requirements countless times and helped us through many crisis situations and has basically held us up through out the entire process of helping us help our children she finds referrals when we need them, tracks down necessary documentation and has stayed on the line through complete and utter chaos to ensure the baby s get through these moments, and continues to keep us going forward. She advocates for the kids mental health and pushes the process, she is professional and kind and willing to go the extra mile for these kids every single day and that is something that is more than you usually expect to receive when dealing with these situations.
