Key things that set Lake Place apart from the others:
1. Fishing/Outdoors: having access to the lake with paddle boats or fish houses 6 days a week. It's a great bass/northern/crappie lake! I caught many 4-5 lbs! They buy any bait you want!
2. 90 days program generally - but you can stay longer if you need to. Some stay almost a year.
3. Woodshop. Yup.
The owner is the most kind and generous man I've met. Dennis, who is still involved to my knowledge. He eats dinner with us and hosts a group once a week.
The counselors are all great. They are a lot of fun and very helpful.
If you like camp fires, s'mores, frisbee golf, hiking, or the woodshop this is the place.

I was impressed with this place. I walked in without an appointment and I was greeted and checked in quickly. I sat for a relatively short amount of time before I was seen. The doctor was thorough and friendly and got me in and out in an expected amount of time. The atmosphere was clean, modern, had adequate seating, and is attractive. anytime I can't see my primary care physician I will be back to this walk-in clinic. The location is handy and convenient in East Grand Forks.

Today got what I needed at a reasonable price, but they have lot of things in there that costs more than costs brand new. I not paying $500 for an exterior door when it costs that much new. This is supposed to be a store to help people out and gave it where poor people can afford to replace or fix something in their home not be greedy and take people for everything they got.

They don’t take anything seriously, terrible staff. My Grandma got transferred to Duluth after her kidneys basically shut down. We had to beg and beg them repeatedly to even try and get them to do something about it. When she arrived at Duluth she looked way worse. All I have to say is that brainerd is terrible and if you need something at all I wouldn’t even go there. The disrespect is so unreal I mean we are all praying and praying that she pulls out of her decline. I will seriously never go to brainered again. I mean staff sit behind the counter all on their phones carelessly when we go tell them that something is wrong. We were there for 5 days and I mean we’ve seen it all. The disrespect the lack of effort and it’s so sad knowing my grandma now has a 50% chance to live. When she arrived at Duluth they put her on life support but the doctors at Duluth are giving us hope as they are so much more compassionate, understanding, and caring. I mean as soon as she got her Duluth was right on top of everything. All we can do is pray. The big difference between brainered and Duluth is so

I have guessed dosed and been a patient at over 15 clinics, across the U.S., so I have a large amount of clinic experience.. I went here about 2 years ago and I am so greatful I did. The staff and owners are great people who care about clients. I made life-long friends, shared in many laughs and learned a lot about myself and addiction. One of the best things about Sobriety First is that they will bring clients to AA/NA events all over the state and even some outside Minnesota! They will do this for free and pay all expenses (hotel, campsite, food, snacks, water, energy drinks, and entry fees). This place changed my life and showed me how to have fun and make countless friends in the recovery community ❤️

Last Friday Dec 5, I had terrible stomach pains. I had to call my husband who was in the living room and ask for his help. I was in so much pain I couldn’t move.
He called 911, first responder's were here within minutes, one happens to be our neighbor. They looked at the situation and called the ambulance. The medics (thank goodness one was female, since I was sitting on the toilet) came and waited until I was ready to see them and immediately checked everything. Got me in the ambulance and put in an iv and sat next to me and kept careful watch. I got to the ER and they were ready for me. They made sure I was comfortable, did lots of tests. Everyone was patient and kind. They decided to keep me overnight which actually turned into 2 nights. I was brought up to south 5th floor. I was in room S547. From the first nursing staff to the last, I was treated with respect, kindness and compassion. I wish I could remember everyone’s names. I’m not going to say the ones I remember as I don’t want to leave anyone out.
From the first responders, the EMTs the Paramedics, the ER staff, Doctors,nursing staff, lab, food service and janitorial were professional, kind and compassionate.
Thank you, Thank you, to everyone that helped me that night and the next 2 days.

My son is currently on his second stay at the Adolescent treatment program. Although we aren't happy that he had to return for more help, I knew that he was returning to a safe and nurturing environment where the staff would be courteous and respectful of his needs. He has a lot of anger, and has been working it out with people who understand his mental illness and genuinely care about his recovery. I am very happy that they encourage a high level of family participation in his recovery, as we all need to make changes for things to get better. I feel completely confident that my son is getting the best care possible, and I am provided with updates whenever I ask for them. I trust this facility with my son's life, and I'm not sure that there is a higher level of respect than that. Not everything is perfect - of course - but that's because we are all human.
