New Dawn did what I thought was impossible to do. They freed me from my physical addiction to Alcohol. They provide a clean and safe professional and comfortable environment to do something that can be very I uncomfortable despite what the addiction of the person may be. The staff and therapists were professional and supportive as well as informative. The food was good and I am still sober today. I was there through the 4th of july weekend. I would recommend them to anyone seeking to start a new beginning free from addiction. 🙏

The Differents is a luxury, private alcohol and drug treatment center with two locations in Reno, Nevada. As someone who has worked in treatment centers across California, Nevada, and even Montana I can say with full confidence that The Differents is unlike anything I’ve encountered in this field. It’s genuinely an anomaly. It’s the kind of place that makes you remember why you chose this work in the first place. The team here doesn’t just show up they truly care deeply and authentically. That’s not something you can manufacture, and it’s rare. Working alongside people who are truly invested in both the clients and each other makes all the difference in the quality of care we’re able to provide. One of the most powerful offerings at The Differents is the trauma workshop led by Paul Mundt, LMFT. In all my years across the treatment space, it is one of the most genuinely healing experiences I have witnessed. It gets to the root of what’s really driving addiction for so many people, and watching clients work through that is nothing short of transformative. If you’re looking for treatment that treats the whole person and a team that walks that out every single day, this is the place. Blessed & Proud to be part of it.

The Differents literally saved my life. Before I was made to come here, I was rudderless and despondent. In literally two days, my attitude went from anger to gratitude. I now wanted to be here. The staff was both loving and competent, which I greatly appreciated. The didactic portion of the program was well thought out and completely applicable to an addict or alcoholic mind. I learned more about how to go forward and live my life from my time here than I had learned in the previous ten years in the throes of alcoholism. The staff were so important to me and their continued concern for my sobriety is so meaningful to me. They are involved with my sobriety and it means something to them. The aftercare programs are important to continued recovery and my continued involvement with the staff in the aftercare programs has been incredibly helpful. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't found this program and am eternally grateful for my time there and my continued involvement with it. I would highly recommend this program for anyone suffering from addiction and or alcoholism. I cannot express my gratefulness enough.

I came through The Differents as a client on 01/08/24 and have kept my clean date ever since. The Differents, their staff, and the people in charge have literally walked me through my recovery every step of the way, and I am eternally grateful for them. Recently, I was invited back for their trauma workshop. This wasn’t available when I was first there, and they made sure I knew it was there for me when I was ready. I have taken my recovery very seriously: I’m part of different 12‑step programs, I have multiple sponsors, and I have a big support group. I’ve put so much into building a solid foundation—but no matter what I did, the trauma from my past still followed me like a cloud. I recently attended the trauma workshop at The Differents, and it was truly life changing. I came in feeling like I had just been surviving my whole life. I carried so much pain, shame, and self‑criticism, and I honestly thought that was just “who I was.” I have endured horrific, unimaginable things in my addiction, and I didn’t know how to really let them go. This workshop, helped me connect with my feelings in a way I never had before. Instead of just talking about my trauma, I was able to experience it safely, process it, and finally start to release it. The exercises were intense but deeply healing, and I always felt supported and cared for by the staff and the group. I truly feel like I dumped years and years of trauma there and left it behind. Being able to witness the healing of others was a gift in itself—that group was so powerful. I’ve never seen anything like it. Through this process, I began to see myself differently. I realized I am a strong, beautiful soul who survived against all odds. I learned that to truly be happy, I have to start by loving what I see and feel on the inside. With God’s help, I am now transforming my mess into a masterpiece—and this workshop was a huge part of that. The staff even invited me to stay for the whole thing so I could disconnect and just be a client again for a couple of days. They say the newcomer keeps us clean, and now I see why. I was able to be raw, real, vulnerable, and transparent, and even with 2 years clean, the group gained from my honesty, and I gained so much appreciation and strength from them. If you are scared, unsure, or feel “too broken,” I want you to know: you are not. This workshop gave me hope, tools, and a sense of purpose. My healing isn’t finished, but for the first time, I believe that my story matters and that my healing can help others too. The Differents is a huge part of my story, and the gratitude I have for them is unmatched. They gave me a platform to take control of my life again, and I owe so much to them. I am deeply grateful for this experience and would recommend The Differents and their trauma workshop to anyone who is ready to face their trauma and begin to truly heal. Thank you so much

Willow Springs treatment center made a huge difference with our son. He had already been to a residential treatment center in California that was like a mansion, but he bolted twice, got released after three months, and was discharged too soon. Willow Springs proved to be a much better container for healing. The individual therapist, Roger was thoughtful, he listened keenly to both us and our son, and he called “shenanigans” if our son tried to pull any BS. The whole program and communication from staff is tailored to hold our children through challenging times into young adulthood — and it happened with our son!! After he came Home he immediately got his license, a job and caught up in school and is thriving as a young adult. Thank you, Roger and Willow Springs

This is going to be a bit longer so I’ll summarize up front. 10/10 this is the place to go for help. It isn’t a picnic, parade, or country club. There are no pools or fancy perks, just treatment and help when needed. Kids who are ready for help will find it here, but their method takes time and patience. Our daughter has struggled with mental health issues for many years and finding help has been very difficult. We finally received a referral for residential care and sent her to another facility in California, but her needs ended up exceeding their abilities and we were referred to Willow Springs. I have to admit that at first I was very nervous, after years of quick triage visits and rapid medication changes I was braced for more of the same. I am happy to say that I was wrong. She was in residential care at Willow Springs Center for over six months, which were some of the hardest of our lives as we live in Arkansas and weren’t able to visit. The staff made sure we talked often and had weekly zoom meetings with her. We felt involved with every step of the treatment plan, and more importantly so did she. She built strong bonds with her doctors and her therapist, which has lead to her seeking therapy and continuing her treatments voluntarily outside. We have had her home for five months now and have only required minor medication adjustments from what was prescribed while she was inpatient. I would like to send a special thank you to her therapist Roger G. To this day she still misses their talks and feels a bond with him. I don’t think anyone has ever built a trusted relationship with her quite like that, and we believe it was this that allowed her to thrive and finally accept the help she needed.

Yes I just want to say one thing I've been struggling with recovering addictions since 2013 I've been in an active addiction years before that it's only when I got my daughter taken from me in 2013 that I actually wanted to stop and be the best parent I could be. My daughter was 5 years old at the time she was taken I was her only parent because her mother was in prison I've got her back two times since then but I have lost her due to my addiction issues I did not know how powerful this disease is until it took my child away two more times now I cannot see my daughter even though she still loves her dad and hopefully she's always been a daddy's girl shenow who lives with my sister thank God she didn't go into the system I need help really bad I can't seem to shake this shit I mean I'm on the verge of suicide because I can't deal with it anymore and neither can anybody that loves me they don't even talk to me anymore I need help somebody please help me oh yeah and to the people who are talking mad crap about this place I don't know these people from Anna Marie but I can tell you this that the ones who failed is because they chose to fail they didn't have nothing to do with the establishment there's always going to be people who don't want help and people who don't want to get right that's going to say stuff like this and it's going to take things the wrong way and take it to the wrong side of the fence everywhere You Go I mean these places are made for addicts of course it's going to be those addicts who don't want to get right we're going to use these places as needs to get more drugs and means to find more clients cuz it's so easy to pull somebody down it's harder to pull somebody up trust me I know I've been dealing with this for a long time I'm 43 years old and I've been drinking alcohol and doing dope since I was a teenager. So if you're bad mouth in this place or any place that's like this it has nothing to do with them it's all on your loved ones and yourself if your family member chose to use this in the wrong manner it was their choice this establishment and no other person in the world can make anybody do anything they don't want to do it's on them they chose wrong it's on them not the people trying to help

As a VA patient for the last 3 years (Ioannis A. Lougaris VA Medical Center), I have been nothing but pleased. I get service very quickly, all those who answer the phone are polite and helpful, I rarely sit on hold more than a few minutes and don't have to deal with any unhelpful "AI assistants". My most recent interaction on the afternoon of 6/15/2026 was with the Prosthetics department as I needed a new device (mine was >15 years old). The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and told me the device would be waiting for me upon arrival. I arrived within 45 minutes and the device was in fact waiting for me with the guy at the front desk so I had zero wait time. I have not found many businesses that have this kind of professionalism and response time. You all made my day - thank you!!!

As a very concerned parent of my daughter and her two young boys (4 and 9 years), Step 2 has been an absolute answer to our prayers. They have provided love, guidance, safety, education, promise, and hope for a brighter and healthier future. Overcoming trauma from being in an abusive relationship, Step 2 has given my daughter the necessary tools and counseling to overcome it. Seeing her reach six months of sobriety, step into transitional living, and be fully reunited with both of her boys under one safe roof is so heartwarming! Yes, it’s a work in progress, but watching them flourish and seeing how the program connects them to vital community resources brings our family so much comfort. The camaraderie between the women there is simply amazing. They all look out for one another and build lifelong friendships, along with a strong support network of sponsors and meetings. Step 2 doesn’t just heal individuals; they rebuild entire families. I have gone from crying oceans of tears from worrying to having tears of joy and relief by seeing the sunshine and happiness on their faces. I am forever grateful to the team at Step 2 for giving my daughter and grandsons their lives back.

I am not proud to say I was pulled over in Hawthorne, Nevada by a Mineral County Sherriff's Deputy resulting in my arrest when drugs were discovered in my vehicles search. I was released on bail the next day and hired a Lawyer in Reno. Soon a very fair deal was made with the District Attorney which dropped three of the four charges, guilty of possession and probation. All I had to do was test for drugs and alcohol 5 times weekly until my court date in 6 weeks and put the nightmare behind me. I thought it would be easy. Stay clean and sober for a month and a half and have a probation officer for a year. Well, It was not easy and I couldn't end my drug habit that I thought was no problem. My lawyer had me go to a drug rehab counseling center when it was obvious I wasn't able to successfully kick my addiction alone. It was my last ditch effort to get clean. I was very close to losing my plea bargain and going to prison. I went to "Intense Outpatient Therapy" 3 days weekly and Alcohol/Support meetings 3 times weekly. Needless to say I wasn't happy about it. That was before I met Dani that runs it. I was treated with compassion and empathy from the beginning. Don't get me wrong, she's no push over and will straighten you up as needed, but never when you don't have it coming. I've received little attitude adjustments when I damn well needed one. In our group we help each other with support, understanding and you soon realize you're not alone on your difficult journey of sobriety. We laugh. We cry. We gripe about our situation. We meditate. We work out with stationary bikes, we lift weights. We stretch. We box. We have an awesome personal trainer that stops by and teaches us how to get healthy, build muscle, shed fat, teaches us the fundamentals of boxing. We work out to good music. I relapsed one time the first week I was there, picked myself up with my new friends help and haven't touched drugs for 23 days. I am dedicated to staying clean and sober. I feel way better. And, I made some good friends while doing it. So, have things got out of control in your life? Feeling powerless because addiction has a hold on you? Feeling afraid and alone? Embarrassed because you never thought this could happen to you? Come on over to Reno Stronger and meet Dani and the group cuz, we all felt that way too. Come get clean and sober and have a good time with us.

This place is 100% legit. If you are looking for a food bank and clothing giveaway that actually treats people right, this is it. It’s located slightly away from downtown over on Timber Way. The process is simple: you come in, fill out an intake form, and they can hook you up with immediate emergency clothing right then and there. You sign up to come back exactly one week later, and they pack you a large bag of clothes—half of the stuff I got was brand new polo shirts and nice pants. They give out great food here too. Everybody working the site is really chill and cool. Definitely check them out if you need help.

This company picked up some things I did not want on two occasions. Yesterday and about a month ago. The day earlier, I had to dispose of a Montech King 95 computer case with an ASUS motherboard, DDR4 memory, Corsair LL120 fans and a Corsair 360 AIO cpu water cooler where Corsair software iQUE link is not compatible with Linux. It was a fiasco getting Valet Living to take out trash. My new Lian Li case is on the kitchen counter with high end gaming components like an AMD Ryzen 9 9900x3d CPU, the Corsair RM850e power supply from 1st build, Trident Z5 Royal DDR5, AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU and Asrock motherboard as well as my apartment is messy with downsizing and Ballpark has a wonky security system. If something happens to the power supply or hard drives sitting on the ledge in front of kitchen sink, I don’t want it to be from external factors. I wanted to donate my old dresser which was cheap from Amazon and I wanted to bring it to the leasing office lobby since I have reasonable accommodations from Greystar and live close to leasing office. I should have taken out the dresser drawers first but didn’t and it fell and 3 of four legs broke off. When the dispatch Megan called and I let her know I had an accident and the dresser broke she was like oh ok is the TV, monitor and printer still being donated and I said yes. Those I packed in new bubble wrap one in a TV box from U-haul and the others bubble wrapped in a separate box. The workers arrived and the white guy with beard and partly bald head said we will move your furniture don’t move it next time. I was like ok. Anyway four stars because of this encounter. Thankfully Greystar employees were very helpful with getting the demolition afterwards to the trash room where the trash compactor is. I was upset I was not able to donate the dresser, but things are complicated with Simon Property Group, Greystar, Placemakr Reno, Valet Living & others involved in the operations at Ballpark Apartment. I apologize I wasn’t able to donate the dresser as it had seen better days. Thank you for picking up the donations. Have an absolutely Fantastic day!

I am a retired LEO and sought out a therapist who specialized in LEO’s and/or military. I interviewed several prior to choosing this therapist because she is prioritizing these groups and has an in depth knowledge of the particular issues they face. I highly recommend Erin. You won’t be sorry.

As a military wife, my husband needed help processing grief. It has been a rough time for our family lately and Erin has been incredible helping guide us through this difficult journey. I’ve been through many therapist in my life… they put all of them to shame. If you’re struggling, this office will help you! I also love that they dedicate their services for military and first responders.

Veterans, take my word. I can’t thank her enough. She REALLY did help me. I’ve used her words by heart. Some of the stuff she said I had a hard time digesting, but when it did catch up to me... it made sense. She truly cares. Which is rare. Today, I reach out and thank her. I’ve thought back on my sessions with her and have been in contact with my bro’s and still think about what what she talked to me about. Thank you Erin.

I am so thankful for this program. It's been 10 years since I've attended and 10 years since I've gambled. I'm not sure how to express how thankful I am for the counselors and staff. They are the best! They are professional and personable at the same time. This program holds a special place in my heart and always will.

Shannon at the South Reno location was literally one of the best people I’ve ever met. She opened my mind to the best thing you can do for your life - think of the worst possible scenario and think of the options that you have from there. Never lose hope that you can change your life and recover from abuse beyond your comprehension. You can save your life by yourself if you have to. People only have power over you if you let them have it. Believe actions, not words. Master the masculine in yourself if you are a woman. Nurture the feminine in yourself if you are a man. Jealousy and thinking you’re not good enough does not serve your highest good. You can come back from the worst things imaginable. I was going to bring her some flowers to show that I’m okay because she helped save my life. In a strange twist of fate my cat was sick and no one listened, but when I went to AEC on S. Virginia, the woman who greeted me was named Shannon. That’s how I knew I could trust my gut and not stop fighting even if people tell you no.
