I have nothing but good to say about this organization. They show the love of God. Yes there are strict rules but the patients that go there must learn boundaries, what they can do and can't do. By doing good, you will learn to receive the Love of God and the Word. I came in with a positive mindset, open to any and everything they had to offer and was able to really take advantage of it all. One thing I am most grateful for is the environment and community that grew my positive energy. Everyone from my APN, Dee, my therapist, Michael who I have learned so much from. Jose, my case manager who has always went above and beyond to facilitate any other needs I had. And for Melvin who always was a leader and ready with a smile and positivity. I always felt comfortable and connected. It was always easy for everyone and myself yo be able to engage in group settings and that is a credit to the vibe and energy of each one of the therapists who ran each session. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Langhorne is the rehab you want to be at. Between the staff, the community and everything inbetween. You will truly appreciate what life is to come after you complete the program. At first glance it doesn’t seem like a whole lot but after settling in and giving the program a few days you do start to feel what life can be like sober. It’s a pretty good feeling to have, especially if you’re a degenerate like me. My advice to anyone that participates in this program, be patient, learn to communicate and don’t fight the program. You’ll be amazed at the amount of weight you can take off your chest by sharing. Slay those demons during the day so you can sleep at night. Hoorah to sobriety! Cameron Allender 1 month ago I came here to receive help to get back on track on my recovery journey. The staff are so amazing! They care and support their clients each and everyday. It is a very peaceful setting they have wild geese goats bunnies and it helps so much, gives me a lot of peace and that makes the hard days still great. The womens house is up to 12 women which I love because I recieve more help one on one. The bond us clients and staff have is unforgettable. I will miss this place when my stay is over. The food is great for it being a rehab even the lunch staff are so pleasant and caring. Its only been 2 weeks and I love it here soo much. My counselor Kenneth (Ken) is the best counselor I ever had, no joke! He has worked with me more than any other counselor. He also has daily groups that I miss on the weekends and its a high in my day, so is the H&I Meetings. We do alot of activities & crafts, I didnt even know I enjoy. I am learning so much here. It is worth it and if you want to AFA/AMA there is plenty of support so you don't. If you want to receive help whether your in active addiction, coming from somewhere else or messed up like me after having clean time its helping get grounded again in my journey. Thank you so much to the staff, techs (especially Justice, Kaitlyn & Jess, the medical team, the director Mrs. KELLY. The LIFE SKILLS Specialist Ms. Alaina gives us so many opportunities and peer support for one another. The head of the cafeteria Mr. Carl is very attentive to your personal needs & has a big heart. For some reason I just happened to be thinking about it, I am now 58 years old and live in Florida. I had a wonderful experience coming here after juvenile detention. I was Court committed and spent six months here. I had a great counselor, I met great friends and stay sober for many years after and it was a great beginning for me and foundation for life. I was a scared 16 year old with issues of abandonment and not knowing my real parents I'm getting mixed up with alcohol and some drugs. Even though it was a difficult time I was very fortunate to come here and got a lot of help and support and helped me through my teenage years. It was a beautiful property and we used to have a little back house that had a pool table and we had candlelight meetings and we used to cook and do all kinds of fun things, I actually had a really good time because I was an only child and my parents didn't pay a lot of attention to me so I never felt more connected.... The night neuro team came in while I was having an episode, instead of just making sure I was medically stable they held my hand and reassured me that they were right next to me and I'd be ok- all at 3 in the morning! Shout out to Nurses Kim, Sam, Heather; all the rest of the nurses in Adolescents; Doctor Sarah Yavelberg and the Peds team; and Art Therapist Christiana and Child Life Specialist Jasdeep 🩷🩷! I definitely felt safe, taken care of, listened to, validated and understood during my hospitalization. Additionally, the place is very clean, aesthetically appealing, and well-designed. There was a bed with a separate curtain, light and tv for parent to stay overnight. Meals can be ordered from an extensive menu and are delivered to rooms. They changed sheets as often as requested, even multiple times a day. People ask why I insist on traveling the hour distance to New Brunswick for emergencies, and this is why!
