It’s hard to explain how much of a gift Guardian was for me. I never thought I’d ever walk into a mental health IOP, but my depression was equally as unexpected. My resistance to group therapy disappeared faster than I expected, because Guardian made me feel supported from the very first day.
Guardian pulled me out of waters I was close to drowning in. Their program kept me accountable, taught me things I didn’t even realize I needed, and gave me tools that allowed me to find myself again. I had my first IV Elements experience this weekend, and wow , I genuinely feel so much better. I did the Hangover Cure and it was exactly what my body needed. From start to finish, everything was easy, comforting, and surprisingly relaxing.

I was in serious trouble with alcohol and substance abuse not to long ago, so I finally decided to reach out for help and I have to say it has been the best thing that I ever did for myself thanks to NJRC. The entire staff is excellent from the front desk, the administrators to all of the Clinical therapists, Medical staff and Case Managers. If you are in trouble with alcohol, substance abuse and mental health, I would highly recommend NJRC to anyone looking for help.They will definitely give you the help that you need. While there are always flaws no matter where you go, it's not a one-size-fits-all. I have personally witnessed for four years many people succeed who are committed to changing their lives.
Truth is you have to not only want it but also be willing to work for it. There comes a point in an addict's life where they will do anything to change their circumstances and patterns of behavior that led to their current state, and those are the clients that succeed at Odyssey, or anywhere else.

I was recently at Chilton for minor surgery, I can not say enough good things about my care. From the friendly smile from the receptionist , the helpful volunteer in admissions to the surgical team. They were all friendly, and helpful. I felt I was in good hands, having my surgery there was the right decision.

I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

This place completely saved my life, it taught me a new way to live and that I am a man, worthy of love and respect. Since there, in 2017, I had one slip up about a year after I graduated, but that was almost 8 years ago now. Since then, I went to welding school, they set me up in a halfway house in NYC, moved back home to Rochester, NY. I have worked in the welding industry and slowly worked my way to where now I run a million dollar welding training program and I try pass along the same message I learned there. 40 minute wait in an empty waiting room at 5am, 3 hours before i saw a doctor or got any medication for my pain which was at a 9, and it’s 7 hours now and i’m still here. It felt like nobody wanted to bother with me when i got here because they were about to switch shifts, I was the next shifts problem.

I been a client since 2022 and I would like to leave a 5 review to my counselor Mr RahJohn Rouse . He has been my counselor for almost a year and what a great guy he is. Very easy to talk to and a guy who really cares about his clients recovery and would go the extra step to make you feel comfortable. I would also like to leave another 5 star review to the staff member who whe front window Mr Sadiq Rouses he is very pleasant person and a great guy to talk to he makes the morning very easy since he knows ever client by name he will never have to ask for your number he knows ever one by face and have you checked in and tell you what you need to do before you go to the window.. It's been a year later and MR Rouse is still the man if you come here try and request him if you can. He is a amazing counselor and person

I REALLY appreciate the kindness and compassion that literally greets you at the door... I've only been on the program for a couple of months and I haven't met any staff member or supportive staff member(i.e. nursing, admissions) that have not been respectful and helpful... Ms. Smith is so-oo down to earth and knowledgeable, she makes it easy to identify and address my issues...I'm so glad that I chose Lennard as the foundation for my recovery... I am feeling like I'm gonna be a success... While attending a program at the Harlem Parish next door, my mother of 91 had an non-emergency, urgent situation. We entered the facility not knowing what to expect. We were greeted with upmost respect and kindness. From the security detail at the door to the 2 receptionists at the window, these wonderful people worked collectively to get us what we need to attend the program comfortably. I am so thankful for the kindness and compassion that was extended to us.

I went to this mental hospital at April first ! It’s very good , staff cares about u , friends in there . I made a lot of friends and they support you! , they are really kind and care about your health but they are strict rules that I don’t understand , like I get it . Hugging + touching isn’t allowed which I am a really touchy friend and I love being hugged at and this mental hospital is great again ! I made a few friends in here even though the rules said that you’re here to be better , not to make friends .. but it’s still great!! , this hospital helped me a lot through my hard rough times at my own thoughts !! :3
i would give it as a 4★ because it’s great experience , have fun in there , make new friends , listen to the rules in the mental hospital . It can be scary first but I’ve been there , but one of the staffs were really rude to this guy that was friends with forest (preferred name I think) and they told him to shut up while he was singing in the shower .. that’s one problem I had with this hospital .. but it’s still a great mental hospital , it’s just one of the staffs need to improve their behavior more..
But here is the actual story I had and experience
I got pulled out of a stretcher and some girl (an adult) took a photo of me signing I was here for help . My parents had to sign a signature for me to stay here untill I got better , I had to wait a full Hour to order to get asked by questions , I had to answer 29 QUESTIONS such as suicide , self harm , etc , or did I get graped . Later I had a lot of friends complementing me about my hair and looking cute , I smiled and appreciate it. But the rules were “You’re here to get better not make friends , no touching “ blah blah wtver some stuff , then we have rooms . The staff would tell us to go back to our rooms if we got out , we either just hang out or take a shower. We get snacks at the room time when we get hungry . We also have orders and have koolaid drinks , the meals are awesome and the drink . We have to drink koolaid 24/7 in the mental hospital . Some of the teachers of there are wonderful ( yes we have classes in the mental hospitals and teachers can send us homework + work in the mental hospital ) people are rlly nice and friendly and all of that stuff and I got used to it being here and I just had to recover from my suicidal thoughts from my bullying (it’s back in 5th grade) and my mom emailed I was in the mental hospital when I was out ) blades , something sharp to cut your self , they will take it away from you , including hairbrush , my hairbrush took away because it had a rope in the end?? It was very small and it didn’t made sense because that rope was small , I had to borrow the mental hospitals brush in order to brush my hair ?? , it sucked because I wouldn’t have my OWN brush to brush my hair , it completely sucked , I enjoyed with my friend as my roommate , I had forest as my friend and the other girl as my roommate , she was really kind and she had a weird thing for bananas but I really didn’t care much because anyone can be what they want to be ..
