My resistance to group therapy disappeared faster than I expected, because Guardian made me feel understood. Guardian pulled me out of waters I was close to drowning in. Their program kept me accountable, taught me things I didn’t even realize I needed, and gave me tools that allowed me to find myself again. They helped me open up about things I had buried without realizing, and they saw strength in me at a time when I couldn’t see any in myself. Every therapist, counselor, and staff member made me feel safe, validated, and genuinely cared for in a way I’ll never forget. They became the support system I didn’t even realize I needed. If anyone needs help, needs strength, needs Hope.. give yourself the gift of Guardian. I dove in headfirst, let go of judgment for myself, and soaked in everything they offered. And because of that, I’m standing where I am today. Guardian - a name that truly reflects what this program has been for me. A place I know, if need be, I can always return to, to find my way. Hospital had such as positive environment and everyone had great attitude. Nurses and Dr would come to ask us every hour for anything we might require. I would like to thank Dr Rakhee Patel and Nurse Teagan from Maternity department for being such a nice person and taking care of my wife and child. We delivered our baby on May 12, 2026. Thanks Hoboken University Medical Center and the entire staff for such a great experience. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am.
