Hands down, the most personal, effective, and fully rounded care facility for the initial detox stage of recovery from substance abuse. I came from out of state into an unknown environment with hopes of getting sober, voluntarily. I did intake over the phone and was on a plane three days later. I was a bit nervous with the different calls from staff and from different numbers; it would have been nice if they maybe assigned a single contact person to each client until check in. However, when I did check in, immediately I felt like I was in very professional setting. It has a dorm like environment, and staff treated me great! I had a structured yet lenient setting to initiate detox then graduated to a residential status after detox was completed. Group meetings were 4-5 times a day, at first voluntary so I could ease into the process. The staff was always very professional yet knew me by name the first day. Therapists and caseworkers there stayed on top of my needs, nursing staff always listened when I expressed a need or concern. I truly felt like I was among family there. And the best part? I left there clean and sober and ready for my next phase of Rey, which was my ultimate goal from the start. That structure immediately after leaving inpatient is where a lot of people fall apart, and having it lined up in advance made a real difference. That's not a given everywhere, and it matters a lot for how safe and manageable those first days feel. It is very unique in that instead of a 3 hrs group which would bore me to tears it is broken up int0 1 hrs of crossfire type exercise, 1 hrs of meditation and yoga, and 1 hrs of group with 1 day of a one on one session with a councilor.
