Staff is always welcoming, the doctors, in any field, always speak with my father like they've been friends for years & making sure he knows exactly what to expect before, during & after his procedure/surgery. Athough it's a hike from the Atlantic City area, the doctors & staff make the drive worth it every single time. I'm actually here now & although there's a bit of a wait, it's still comforting knowing my father will be in good hands. Initially the mere thought of having a 3 hour meeting with a Therapist and small group was the LAST thing in my Vision. However I need this service for 3 months to possibly get on the Kidney Transplant List. I have grown to truly enjoy Kyle's IOP group. I look forward to it and miss it on Wednesdays and Fridays. Kyle has opened my eyes and nudged me to attend meetings. My answer turned from NO thank you, to I will give AA meetings a go. Keep in mind that I have been in and out of the Program for 20+ years. Guess what? I am enjoying AA meetings now! I dreaded them before. I am grateful to Kyle and his group for pushing me to my next step in Recovery. Such a blessing!! Jim , Nina and Ernest are great, patient and listens to both the parents and children concerns without trying to deflect and advised of other php programs as other have to me. I chose HF php due to my child having a lot of trust with Jim and Ernest from the IOP. She attended last year. I love these 3 people right here. My child is currently enrolled and is doing really well it took her a while to open up and these 3 never gave up or make recommendations on sending her else where. She had learned many new and effective tools to use .. so there's that. I only gave a 4 star review due to speaking with a certain person while my child is treated there about med changes and I haven't heard from back them since. We spoke 2x and her MD attempted to also outreached and crickets... a side from No MED changes done. My child still benefited from the other therapies offered just not 1 of them I've requested which was the med change. My child journey with HF , has been very beneficial, my child has grown and can effectively use the tools provided. Let's start with the director... 1st off, he will insure the best after care for your well being. He is exceptionally fair. I messed up time after time and he gave me opportunity after opportunity. The rules of the program is enforced but he seen in me what I couldn't see in myself. Now the staff??? They became my family. I'm not saying any names but the RSP Supervisor cares deeply about the clients and their safety. She's like Debo who wants you to take the recovery process seriously. As far as the rest of the staff. Individually they they are not just assets to the company but essential to life. Now if I don't say anything about how good Momma Nancy feeds everyone, I would be dead wrong. When I say you get feed like Grandma back around, The food is excellent. My only complaint is that the residents messed up the coffee twice a day. Smh. They have brought in painters to freshen the place up and give it a much brighter cleaner appearance. For a while there was an awful smell in the place like they had a mold problem. I am very grateful. Now further treatment will be initiated. MeadowWood can not "fix" damaged people in a few weeks. I believe negative reviews come from people who have no idea what a mental hospital is or does. Of course it is unpleasant; it is full of people who can not control themselves. Personal items must be taken away; family members would be the first to sue if a patient harmed themself. Most likely the staff takes an incredible amount of abuse; God bless them everyday for showing up, and for caring. I’ve been using for over 6 years, been to multiple places & never stuck with it. Until I came here, I was actually ready this time & that made all the difference. From Dr. Mike, to Mrs. Gloria the social worker, the techs (can’t remember all their names, but especially Lex) I will say the food is horrible lol but if you’re actually ready it’s a great place & worth giving it a shot.
