They are always behaved, participate and it has always produced long term results for them. I have multiple men in my homegroup who were once participants of HH. I started out here on methadone, then left and came back on suboxine and now go there for the brixadi shot. All of the staff are so nice, easy to talk to and supportive. My counselor Jackie is the by far the best councelor I’ve ever sat down with in all my years in and out of addiction. She truly cares, and will go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. All the nurses are so great and easy to talk to. I highly recommend somerdale treatment center to anyone battling addiction and trying to work their way toward recovery. From the day I arrived, the clinical team treated me like a person, not a case. The therapists were skilled, compassionate, and used approaches that actually matched what I needed. The residential house was beautiful the program was structured but never rigid—there was real space for individual work, group process, and learning how to live differently. The staff created a safe, respectful environment where it felt possible to be honest. What sets this place apart for me is the aftercare. A lot of programs do a good job while you’re there and then leave you on your own. Here, the transition was thoughtful and continuous. They helped me build a realistic plan, connected me with ongoing support, and stayed available. The alumni/aftercare community has been one of the most valuable parts of my recovery—consistent check-ins, practical guidance, and people who actually understand the long game. I’m not going to pretend recovery is easy or that any facility is perfect. But the combination of solid residential treatment and genuine, ongoing aftercare made a measurable difference in my ability to stay well. All the staff was wonderful. I want to highlight the following people from each department because without the staff here I would have not exceled. In Client Care, Melanie and Jack took a vested interest in my recovery journey from start to finish. In nursing, Susan and Sierra were so sweet and were always there when I needed someone to listen and assisted me with anything I needed regarding my medication. Medical staff, Cindy was by far one of the best provider's I have ever met in a treatment setting. She was patient with me, addressed all my concerns and did not push any medication on me which was very much appreciated. Sabriya was an amazing recreational therapist and she found creative ways to bring me out of my shell and was always there when I needed someone to talk to. As far as facilitators, John and Michelle were absolutely top tier. The behavioral techs were amazing at the Haven. Bridget was wise beyond here years and became one of my main sounding boards during second shift. I also want to mention Angie, Tim, Cheena, and Zaahir who were instrumental in my recovery. I want to give a separate shout out to Amethyst who started working for the Haven during my stay. I was able to see her quickly adapt in her new role and how passionate she is to assist others, I can tell she has a drive for this and will most defiantly succeed. Last but certainly not least I want to recognize Rosie. She was the one who completed my intake. From our first interaction she promised my I was safe and she would be with me the whole way. Not only did she keep her promise but any time I panicked or had any concerns she was right there by my side. Even on her days off she checked in on me and let me know she was thinking of me and how I was doing in this brand new community. It's because of the dedication of these people and all the other staff that I was able to not only complete my treatment but also feel prepared and ready to tackle the real world, moving here to Jersey for a new start. Val is the best house manager and i had to move to legacy for 30 days before going back to sobriety solutions and i can’t pray everyday enough for the time to just go by so i can go back to this program and house. I love this place more than anything and i couldn’t imagine being happier at a place, i hate that things worked out the way they did for the time being but im really pushing through the hell of this just to get back there & not let people affect me or make me uncomfortable because that’s nothing compared to Val’s treatment & the way they really support you there. I didn’t even expect to be going to a sober house because you rarely find any that truly care but this one so does. i wouldn’t recommend any other but just stay in your own lane & you can’t really do social media there, that was so i misunderstood & i don’t want anyone else to run into that communication process the way i did. Haley who works at the front desk is the most sweetest, helpful, caring staff member I've ever had the pleasure of working with in regards to my sobriety and staff at a facility. She is always open and honest l. She's never guided me in the wrong direction. Honestly she works so hard in taking care of us clients and what we need that sometimes it feels like I'm not doing enough for my own recovery. If you're nervous about taking the next step in your recovery as I was never have been to a PHP before. She makes sure that it's a smooth transition. Honestly the only way you could think Haley or the rest of the staff isn't doing enough for you is if you're so lazy and aren't really serious about your recovery that you just expect everyone to do everything for you. I. That case you may need a higher level of care. Because I've never been so excited and felt like I had the help I need in my recovery as I do in sober solutions and working with Haley. What I will say is that even when I used I payed attention to people , places and surroundings that I knew I shouldn’t have been in . I played dumb because some thought I was. lol Far from it . What I will say , take one day at a time , remember where your addiction took you . The person on people that gave it to you aren’t your “friends”. There drug acquaintances ! Being thankful that I wasn’t out on the streets buying it , or any form of entertainment to get it. I was in a situation ship with the person whom offered it to me and I blame myself for saying yes !Yes I take accountability for my own actions .
