By far the best place around. If your serious about your recovery, this is the place. It’s not just all about the medication, it’s about the staff as well. My counselor, Sharece T saved my life. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and treats people as an individual, not a group, because we’re all different. She really took the time to get to know me and get to the root of the problem and checks up regularly to see if everything’s going well. I’ve been to many places, doctors, meetings and rehabs. No one has ever understood me better, witch is very important in recovery so you can be treated accordingly. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m extremely grateful and blessed for my counselor Sharece. A huge thanks to this organization and most importantly, my counselor.

Serenity at Summit provided my son with exceptional care from the moment we made the first call. I was relieved that my insurance was accepted, but even more relieved when my son was assigned to his counselor, Sean. From the very beginning, I felt confident that my son was in the right place and working with the right person.
Sean kept me informed of every major development, whether positive or challenging. He communicated clearly, consistently, and with genuine concern for my son’s well being. When my son wanted to give up, which happened more than once, it was Sean’s dedication, patience, and steady guidance that kept him grounded. He supported my son through some very difficult moments and helped him stay committed to the program when he felt like walking away.
What impressed me most was that Sean never pushed my son to make decisions for anyone else not for me, not for him, not for the program. Instead, he helped my son understand that recovery only works when you choose it for yourself. That shift in mindset was transformative, and it happened because Sean knew how to reach him, speak to him, and guide him without judgment.
It is rare to find someone with this level of compassion and dedication for people they do not know personally. Sean’s own experience and journey make him a powerful example of what is possible. You cannot teach that kind of empathy. It comes from lived experience, resilience, and a genuine desire to help others out of the same darkness he fought his way through.
In my opinion, Sean is nothing short of a blessing for individuals and families facing the challenges of addiction. My son stayed, listened, and moved forward because of the support he received, and for that I am deeply grateful. Serenity at Summit is fortunate to have him, and so were we.

I spent two months working on myself with Absolute Awakenings, I came in in a really dark place, and I left with the tools needed to empower myself for my future not only for myself, but for my family! I couldn’t have done it without the help of multiple staff members, and Jamie, who has continued to keep in touch with me! Evas is a decent place that genuinely cares about there clients. I'd honestly say it's the best state funded halfway house in NJ. I've been here 6 months with no real complaints. The food could be a little better but at the end of the day it's a good place. Obviously this place is state funded and the majority of clients are on drug court or parole so there is no jacuzzi, pool and horses but like I said it’s not a bad place

I am and will forever be so grateful to this place and its staff. I feel I’ve learned so much about myself and now have a good awareness of why I’ve felt the way I have my whole life, so irritable and disconnected from the world. Big thank you to all the staff, Tamara, Ms. Mayling, Bryant, Dwayne, Tim, Ms Keisha, Isabella, Patrick, The Dave’s, Ms.Q, Gus, Vince, Dawn, all have the interns, everybody there helped me more then they will ever know by teaching me how to get honest and open minded to a new way of life. Turning point as well as life in general is what you make of it, I’ve been fighting with drug addiction for 20yrs and could never understand why no matter how successful I would get on the outside I would always turn back to drugs in the end. At the clinic, I was having some problems getting to work on time. I was having a problem with getting my right amount of bottles and I wrote a grievance. Then a counselor from the back that heard my problem came out and began speaking to me. Her name was Elaughn Davis-Lance. She immediately went to the back, spoke to the doctors and got me double the amount of bottles I usually get for the inconveniences of not being able to get to work! Without her and doctor cadet, I would have had a lot worse problems and wouldn’t have handled the situation correctly. This is amazing place that saves people's lives over the years they have continued to upgrade and better the way the system of the Lennard Clinic runs in general if you come there in the morning by 6:00 a.m. you will see a doctor that day and become a client the same day as long as you meet the criteria and have the correct paperwork

Straight & Narrow is not perfect, but neither is anyone. They have they're flaws and imperfections just like I do. If the place was absolutely perfect people would find something to complain about. It's just how it goes. I had a warm bed, hot food, and although the groups were limited, it was my choice to attend more than I was scheduled to go to. So that's what I did. People complained about group time and then complained about down time because they were bored.. I guess it's a journey that is decided individually. I opted to go to every group everyday and every opportunity I had I would volunteer for things to do to help. I was rarely bored and always looked forward to the weekdays rather than weekends because I liked the groups. They didn't keep me longer than originally discussed when I arrived as others were saying. But then again, maybe others didn't participate to their potential or maybe others didn't take the initiative to show their counselors what their intentions were. Some people want to get better and some people are court ordered to be there. The. Some, like me, were court ordered but wanted to get better. I completed a relapse prevention plan to present to my counselor and constantly asked her for more work books to better myself so she knew my intention was authentic. I guess I just felt that it was important for me to clarify my experience there because nobody pointed out anything positive, here's something. THE PLACE GAVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE, IF YOU DONT TAKE IT AND IMMERSE YOURSELF INTO YOUR RECOVERY, YOUR DOOMED TO REPEAT HISTORY. The only shot we have is inside of us, the four walls doesn't mean a whole lot. it's your personal motivation.. Ask yourself what you want more and why. Thank you straight & narrow for the opportunity to take advantage of your program and I couldn't be more pleased with the majority of the staff. My counselor, Emily, was a super helpful person and important role in my early recovery. She challenged my answers, which I respect, and she also made me be accountable for my own recovery. She Cares, that's ultimately how I feel about her and I can't thank her enough. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants recovery and isn't worried more about the color of the paint or what mattress they have, that person probably doesn't want recovery to begin with....

Best sober living in NJ. Really nice, spacious, comfortable home (that’s an actual photo in the profile) in a quiet, safe, classy neighborhood with easy access to main thoroughfares/highways. Residents get relatively more freedom than their peers at other sober homes, but while still getting all the support they want/need. There are rules to follow of course, like regular testing to ensure sobriety, but for the most part it’s not a universal set of restrictions, but rather a unique system of support/care tailored to each individual. The case manager is on site M-F, and they and the owner are just incredible people, a delight to be around & get to know, and are genuinely invested in each & every resident’s success in all facets of life.

I have been here since October 17, 2025 and my experience has been very good since I first got here. The house is very clean and helps to have cleaning service every other week. I was only planning on stay in for 2 months but now I don't have plans to leave anytime soon.
I have lived in a halfway in Del Ray Beach, F.L. a sober cowboy ranch in Washington State, Oxford Houses including one in Rumson, NJ and this is my favorite sober living so far.
It also helps to have a good crew of men that I currently live with. Having two TV rooms, high-end kitchen, high-end W/D, and being tucked away on a side street of nice neighborhood make this experience a worthwhile one during my early recovery.

My experience at Cambridge Recovery has been exceptional. The house as a whole flows and there’s just a good energy about the place, it’s clean, relaxing, nice beds, and a safe place in a nice quiet neighborhood. Cambridge Recovery Sober Living is beautiful, it’s a step above traditional sober living environments. The individuals who live at Cambridge want to be sober and change their lives for the positive, that was a huge decided factor for why I chose this house. Big shoutout to Abbie and Howard for the opportunity to embark on this new sobriety journey of mine and their ongoing support and guidance during this transition period of my life. Thank you for all that you do and helping me when I was broken lost and needed guidance. I’ll certainly be paying it forward. You know, seeing a 4.4 star rating on anything to do with addiction, is a flat out miracle. Addicts are some of the whiniest, hardest people to please. So the rating itself should be a testament. I’ve been in this program for a few years now, even commuting from white plains. That’s how much I love it. They are so wonderful here and I truly feel that treatment was so therapeutic. They have wonderful groups and DBT and make sure your needs are met and accounted for. They were super flexible to grant me time to celebrate my mom's birthday! Shout out to all especially to Melissa, Rena, and Romesa for their help. Dr. Darly along with Dr. Mehta and Dr Preethi were so amazing. Charge nurse Gitu is amazing and make sure we take our meds to get well. An excellent house to go if you're in need of mental health care. Unlike going to a hospital psyche ward, where the nurses are just waiting for their shift to end and the doctor talks to you quickly and writes some prescriptions and rushes you out to see the next patient, the entire staff focuses on you. From the doctor, to the counselors and even the cooking staff, they focus on every patient as an individual and get deeply involved in your case. A very warm, cozy, welcoming environment, nice rooms and bathrooms, and excellent food. It's like a second home you can collect yourself and gather your thoughts and prepare for the outside world again. I highly recommend.
