I have a great therapist here, Paige, whom I've been seeing over a year and a half...
We're just getting into the crucial issues that have made therapy necessary for me, and she's helping me get a grip on the hidden pain, difficult memories, and emotional suffering that remained after a course of CBT with another therapist at a different clinic. CBT is great in some ways but to recover from C-PTSD requires some time spent in regular one-on-one psychotherapy, where trauma is addressed and emotions are released in a safe environment.
As much as the CBT at the other treatment center I went to helped me with applying logic to my then out-of-control emotions, it was time for another tactic so that I could complete my journey of healing. This is that continued journey.
I'm going to continue my progress here with Paige and am optimistic about my future as I break the lifelong hold past trauma has had upon me.
Thank you, Liberty.

I have been with unity chemical dependency for a while now. All of the staff in outpatient and the majority of staff in inpatient are compassionate and were essential for my recovery. My outpatient therapist is always ready to listen and give incredible support and resources. I don't think I would be in recovery if it weren't for my therapist, Sam. My life has been saved. I have improved my quality of life, as well as my relationships. I highly recommend unity chemical dependency for those who struggle with addiction.
