Been with this place for a few years, tried other places due to transportation issues but came back, this is by far the best office I have went to with the most and best providers to actually help

I called the online number and was able to get all the information I needed for their open hours and helpful tips on how the process will work. When I showed up the process was just as described by the lovely woman I had spoken with when I called. I left the appointment with a follow up and a great experience for my first ever interaction with this facility. The staff was friendly and helpful

Jeez, it's been years since I was there. The staff was patient with me when I would lose it and runawa6 but they also helped me realize that I was given up for adoption. At least these places still exist for reasons .

I used to live there 15/16 and they saved my life. I would love to be able to find Mr. Howard that worked there around 98/99 and tell him thank you. His belief in me turned me into a great mother and I've never been in trouble since. Please if anyone knows how to find him or lead me in the direction of him, let me know. Tell him I just need him to know I appreciate him and his sacrifices for me and the rest of the children that needed an ear to listen to us. I will never forget you. I'm forever grateful.
I don't understand how this place has gotten so many bad reviews which is very unfortunate, my experience though has been amazing! the walk ins make it so much easier than having to wait months and months for a therapist and a psychiatrist!!!!

Been going here for 4 years, pretty good experience with therapists just had to find the right one for me. Psychiatrist are very knowledgeable and not into pushing pills and not into seeing you suffer from side effects. Front desk is also helpful good at keeping track of appt.’s. Phone service is meh nice takes half hour on hold lately which causes me to set time aside for calls.

Next day of she get out to do DETOX my mom social workers from A CPS PENDING CASE CALL THEM CUZ MY MOM 36 YEARS OLD DECIDED GO BACK AND DO INPATIENT 28 CUZ SHE REALLY Want to do the admissions..... They said she have to wait 2-3 weeks for a bed...

The staff was extremely helpful and professional. I stayed for 28days. The food wasn’t the greatest but it was alright. There were classes offered that helped combat the depression and boredom. The rooms and Bathrooms were clean. Anything that was needed the staff was sure to accommodate. I was able to connect with my counselor, whenever I need to. The only thing I would say was an issue was the separation between men and women. You are allowed to speak to the opposite sex at all not even a friendly hello. The women are escorted everywhere and housed in a separate area meanwhile the men could walk all over all day. One day I started doing my own calisthenics trying to exercise when I was told I had to stop because it was against rules for safety reasons. There was a schedule listed Every Morning with the going- ons of the day. Over all it was an enjoyable stay once I got past the initial Rude meeting of the director.

Our family was very happy with the loving care our Mother received in close to to 3 years of in patient care for Alzheimers. The staff at Hope floor were exceptional and were angels in being there for our mother and family until she passed onto eternal life with Jesus Christ. ✝️

I’ve been going here for addiction treatment for about 5 years. The doctors care! the nurse cares! They went above and beyond to help my husband and I. He lost his job because the company went under, so we weren’t insured because paperwork wasn’t filed correctly or something. Either way feeling extra grateful for the people who have been helping in my care for so many years! Making sure we are good on all fronts for many years.

Huther Doyle has been a great help for me in the past few months. I highly suggest Marcus Allen as a counselor. Both his groups and one-on-one meetings have been great. He has been positive influence on my life in all aspects. Front desk staff is also very kind and helpful.

I was assigned Arlene as a therapist March of 2022. Arlene and I have one on ones monthly. She always puts me first, helps with solve thru my problems I’m dealing with in early sobriety. Also provides me with resources and self help books to help me work on myself outside of therapy.
Also Laura is my peer advocate, she is always a phone call away, meets me at AA meetings and is a great friend along being a great support for me. Laura goes ABOVE and BEYOND her expectations. She truly cares for her clients & their journey with early sobriety. During active use, she made sure I made it to detox and I was in a safe place. She is a great example of what a sober woman is. Set a great example for new patients

Wasn’t a fan of the VA healthcare or their people but the Caulkins VA is worth the time. I have been seen on time or early every time. People a polite and communicative to my needs. They have gone above and beyond their requirements to take care of me.

What an outstanding facility. Every staff member is courteous, polite, and exceptionally helpful. They go out of their way to answer any and all questions a veteran may have and provide clear direction. Community Care has also been fantastic.
When I requested to see a dermatologist around May, the on-site dermatologist was booked until October. They promptly offered and scheduled me with a civilian dermatologist, even though it was some distance away. Fortunately, this facility added a dermatologist to their staff and contacted me to offer an earlier appointment. They booked me for July to see the staff dermatologist.
Dr. Ward and his team are phenomenal and extremely responsive. You can message them with any questions and receive prompt replies, or reach them by phone. You can also contact Community Care directly, and they will work with your doctor to coordinate care outside the facility when needed.
You just have to ask and be your own advocate, because only you know what services you need and how pressing your treatment is.
Regarding dental care, I have had severe issues involving tooth loss due to bayonet training at the School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton decades ago with significant structural damage that required several bone grafts. It has been a drawn-out process spanning nearly two and a half years, largely due to prior administration decisions that redirected VA funding. However, once DOGE initiatives were implemented in the VA systems, as a matter of FACT the very next day after DOGE was widely reported to enter VA systems to weed out the “financial redistribution of funds” I no longer received the response of “it’s a finance committee decision.” They scheduled me right away. From that point forward, Dr. Dawly (who fought hard on my behalf to receive the services I was rightly owed, but was given the run-around by the $ starved VA bureaucracy at that time) promptly scheduled me and referred me to staff oral surgeon Dr. Lee and her very personable, friendly and dedicated technician, Michelle.
Dr. Lee with the assistance of her Tech Michelle, have skillfully performed numerous procedures including removing an entire nerve from the entire roof of my mouth, with a few more scheduled before I receive my prosthetic tooth. The receptionist who sits at the front desk, Michelle is also incredibly kind and efficient. Donna the dental hygienist is also so personable and takes her time doing the cleanings never a rush job.
In essence I truly cannot put into words how wonderful all the staff are. Including administrative staff who are also so respectful, polite and very helpful but also the facility vibe is just very homely not industrial. A very quiet, efficient and friendly medical facility. Their pharmacy is also equally efficient in filling prescriptions while you wait.
I truly feel at home here, unlike at a typical medical facility. As a Top 10% (according to Google) Google Maps Contributor, I highly recommend this VA facility for the excellent care and support provided to veterans.
Update: I forgot to mention, the parking is ample and there are lots of handicap spots all around the facility.
Neil, Connor, Ann, Kaitlyn, Linda, David & the rest of the '26 care team here are absolutely phenomenal individuals. They're capable of helping with even the most minute of mental afflictions to the largest of addictions. With their counselings, therapies, medical assistances & treatments, I'm now a better individual than I was before. Thank you for helping me reshape and rethink with a healthier, happier, longer-lasting mindset that's sure to be my guide for a brighter tomorrow. 👍🏼👍🏼

FLACRA is comprehensive, compassionate care for people with substance use disorders and mental illness. Detox, residential, case managment, outpatient and emergency services. Excellent clinicians.
Great for counseling, job coaching/assistance(VERY knowledgeable), nurses to monitor vitals & more. They have client groups that meet for dealing with various types of issues.
They accept Workman's Comp patients.

So far, so good. Never have I felt at home as I feel here. I have done some friends along the way and they encourage to do better every day. Everyone here is very nice, and the staff is always courteous with clients. They have helped me a lot.
In patient really needs better services. My inpatient had very little skill building to help prevent being admitted. Even letting folks know what kinds of therapy are out there to work through with our therapists.
Outpatient has been a better experience. They have gone above and beyond for me trying to find me help. My therapy sessions have been good. I've had a couple therapists as some leave the job. I've been really happy with the help I've been given. The skills they teach are good ones. My biggest complaint is the short visits. It's very difficult to work on things of most of your session is just catching the therapist up since the previous visit.

This is the place to go for adults dealing with personal acute struggles with social and behavioral problems. They were met with kindness, compassion and a deep understanding of how to deal. After care is great too.
If you know someone who is struggling and cannot deal anymore bring them here. Go M-F for the best care and weekend for acute care.
Thank you to the staff for answering many lingering questions for my family during a difficult time. Bravo! Y’all deserve a big raise.

It is a great place for therapy and psychiatric care, but my only complaint is that when a medication refill run out and a new Rx needs to be sent in, they do not always send it out in time, resulting in disruptions in medication regimes, especially since they do not always respond to calls from the Pharmacy. If you are on a medication that is scheduled by the Controlled Substances Act or on a medication you cannot live without, I would recommend having those prescriptions written out from a medical provider from another organization.

I’ve never been to East House nor lived in Rochester. But if Ashley still works there I’d like everyone to know she’s absolutely wonderful! When I was homeless in the DV shelter Ashley would call me & give me resources/housing recommendations. One time she even went out her way to ask her supervisor about a DSS question I had. Very kind & extremely helpful, I hope life treats her well 🩵🩷.
