I'd like to say a few things about this lady. She completely changed my life even though she'll never say it had anything to do with her thats its all you. You put in the work ... yea yea yea but she really has. I've had the pleasure of working with her for a little over a year. I've never met a more dedicated, caring, courageous counselor in my entire life. She has saved my life more times than I can count by her group sessions where i've met some amazing people and built some great connections with over the last year. Her 1:1 sessions and yes her emails as well. She always checks in with you even though that may just be her job she never forgets and is always there anytime you need her. I've been through a lot this year losing a lot...and gaining even more. And I can say from the bottom of my heart I couldn't have gotten where I am today without her. She deserves the world on silver platter for the work she does day to day. And P.S to the agencies management she definitely deserves a raise for the work she puts in. She gave me my life back. Yes I know..everyone will say she's just a counselor. But, to me she's so much more. Thank you for being so involved with the work you do and caring as much as you do. I don't think I could ever repay you for being such a wonderful human being. There's not many people out there anymore that do the work because they actually care and I can say from my own personal experience she does. With her whole heart. To anyone that gets a chance to work with her stick with her she'll push you to be the greatest versions of yourselves. In the end I promise you'll thank her. You are one remarkable human being and I just want people to know you the way I know you. Thank you for everything you've done for me. Im so glad I walked in and decided to put the work in to change my life. To everyone who was ever involved in my care over at Helio I thank you all so much. You guys do such a great job. Even if I am just one person. Know that you saved my life. So, again thank you. #HelioStrong

Okay so heres how these reviews are all going to look, either five stars and great words of affirmation, or 1 star and lots of excuses and negativity. There are rules and recommendations to follow, and when your ready to get sober you will follow them. And if you do, and put forth some effort, there's nobody at Helio Health that won't bend over backwards trying to help you bridge gaps. They don't work FOR you, they work WITH you. So as a client I thought I would share my "unadulterated" thoughts on Helio Health. First of all, lets start with rehab in general. It's a horribly uncomfortable process that will eventually save your life. This being said, its pretty easy to have a negative view of any organization while you are 30 days or less from a drug or a drink. I have found Helio Health to have an abundance of resources for one to obtain sobriety and restart their life. In just the last 80 days I have been able to get my head screwed on straight, remain sober, fix broken relationships and obtain a pathway to success in every area of my life. Physically, mentally, spiritually the tools were there to obtain. It was up to me to accept that no "program" or rehab is going to be perfect and my life transformation was up to me. It was my job to use the assets given to my advantage and Helio Health had plenty to offer that were much different than my prior rehab experiences! Although staffing any business can be tough in these times, the counselors and nurses were super helpful and friendly. Hopefully with the intense need for recovery staff, businesses will start to pay them a bit more of what they deserve!

Honestly I am blown away with the care I've received from this facility. When I heard of the VA in the past, it seem strictly in a negative connotation. Dr.Marshall is by far the most professional, knowledgeable, and caring doctor I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Finally the reason that reminded me to write this review was that I had Covid these last couple of days and lost track of which day it was, so unfortunately I missed my appointment today. These reviews are supposed to be for Conifer Park Outpatient in Liverpool NY, NOT their inpatient facility which is in Glens Falls NY. Therefore to anyone reading this please don't make your decision for outpatient treatment by what you read on inpatient. It's pretty easy to tell which reviews are meant for which facility.I totally agree that Conifer Park inpatient is a joke. I should know, I've been there 3 times! You get there in the morning just to sit for 4 hours before seeing medical, then your taken to another room to sit 4 more hours. At least that waiting room has food and drinks. Finally your taken to your unit while their at dinner. The rooms are gross, the other patients are rude, dirty and mostly mandated & only talk about getting high when they leave. There are a few that are there for help but I always stayed to myself. The staff could care less about you, to them your just another junkie. Now the outpatient in Liverpool is amazing, i've been there 3 years on methadone maintenance. The counselors genuinely care and they will call you out if your screwing up. It's a small place, not huge like 410 or Helio (SBH). Having less patients gives the staff the opportunity to work closely with a client. NO to inpatient, YES to outpatient.
