My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did. The care I received from start to finish was extraordinary. Every physician I worked with—Dr. Hellerman (Endocrinology), Dr. Newman (Surgery), and Dr. Indich (Primary Care)—took the time to truly listen, explain everything clearly, and treat me like a person rather than a chart number. The team at Yorktown Imaging was equally wonderful, keeping my spirits high and putting me at ease during my pre-op MRI. On surgery day, everything ran like clockwork. Admissions was private and efficient. A patient care concierge explained the tracker system to my husband so he could follow my progress, and my prep nurse was attentive, communicative, and made sure he could sit with me before surgery. Dr. Newman took extra care to place the incision where scarring would be minimal, and the anesthesiology team kept me completely informed. Recovery staff managed my post-anesthesia nausea immediately, and Dr. Newman checked on me before I was discharged to rest at home. Post-op follow-up has been fantastic—calls were returned promptly, and one week out I have minimal pain, zero complications, and feel better every day. After a a terrible two months in the hospital, my dad had weakened his swallow muscles and couldn’t eat or drink. He had a stomach feeding tube when he entered the rehab facility. He wasn’t walking independently but Amanda Burkart, the speech pathologist at Christian health brought so much energy, positivity and consistency in her care that my dad started eating and drinking and passed his swallow test. The nurse and care staff: Jetta, Nancy, Akina and Marwa were all so attentive and caring. I also appreciated Trisha who helped me manage all the follow up appointments for my dad. Their care and attention towards me was constant, deep, and real. They really provide the peace and atmosphere that allowed the Doctors and I to do incredible amounts of work and healing. The Doctors too were incredible, talented, and providing a very high standard of care. Food was amazing (yes it's hospital food, adjust your expectations a bit). I had steak, burritos, pho, Thai, lasagna, pasta, bbq, burgers, and more. Across 6 weeks I think they only repeated a dish 4-6 times. And there's a salad bar and panetta/sandwich bar every meal. Many kids ate grilled cheese every meal instead of grown-up food and vegetables, so I would take their complaints with a pinch of salt, hah. Reading the other reviews is amusing. Bear in mind the complaints are coming from sick people, and it is frustrating to not find a silver bullet for very real and severe illnesses. Some people enter thinking this is a spa vacation. It is not. Your healing will require you to do work on yourself as well. She made the registration process comfortable and easy.During my visit, I underwent a Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA), which uses computed tomography to take detailed images of the heart and coronary arteries. During the examination, Lorna, the CT scan technician, administered medication to help slow my heart rate so the images could be taken properly. Lorna was very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. She did an excellent job explaining and handling the procedure. She is originally from the Philippines.The X-ray technician was also very nice, professional, and helpful.The hospital floors and facilities were very clean, and the staff provided excellent service throughout my visit. The only concern was that it took some time to get my appointment.
