I have been coming here since they opened. It's a very clean, new office. They have a lab on site and if you go in the A M they send your blood draw up to VA North Port and the lab work is ready the next day for your appointment at North Port VA.

It works people. However, it is not just given to you. You have to work hard for it. I DID. July 15, I will be 3yrs no illicit Drugs, 6 months no Alcohol. I worked on myself so much that the staff at Ed Thompson saw in me what I didn't see... Potential. I was offered a job...I applied. Now, I've been an employee for 6 months.

An amazing group of individuals helping those of us who not only want or need help, but are there helping us work through not only our addictions but emotions. 10 out of 10 Would recommend if you’re in need… pretty much anything that will make you feel better about yourself by helping you… understand yourself. And it’s nice to sit in a group of peers judgement free. There is nothing but love pouring out of this place. And as a side note after reading lower rated posts. I have no insurance and they have done absolutely nothing more than help me and be there for me. Please if you feel you need some help, give them a call. It’s worth it.

I am a special needs adult 26 years old. I had hernia surgery on June 23rd 2026. Everyone went above and beyond and took extra care of me from doctor that did surgery, nurses and every staff at Huntington hospital. They even let my mom in the recovery room so I wake up I my Mom is there to make me feel safe. I would go to Huntington hospital for anything including physatric mental health problems because everyone is so accommodating and making a special needs adult relaxed and feeling warm welcoming to Huntington hospital. I was a Patient there for approximately 9 months. A Wonderful Atmosphere and you’re surrounded by ppl who Really Care.
Especially the Counselors, My Counselor in Particular. Her Name was Jenn. A Wonderful Person and an Absolute Dear young Lady.
She was Extremely informative and Knows just how to make you feel Comfortable and Cared For.
I was going through a Rough patch, but looked Forward to my meetings with her every week and Every time I left her office, I ALWAYS FELT BETTER AND FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARED..
I can Honestly Say, Meeting Jenn was a Highlight of my Time there.
I only left there because I found a place Much Closer to my home out East.
But my Counselor there will always be close to my heart.
And I Thank Her Dearly.

Hi everybody! I am a current resident at Samaritan village's inpatient and methadone facility and I think they have a wonderful program! I have been to many programs and this is by far the best. In their residential program, you have access you methadone maintainence although it is not required, you receive your psychiatric medications and have an on premises psychiatrist and primary care Dr although you may see your own. I see theirs and they are wonderful. They do not chastise you if your on a controlled psychiatric medications, it is considered and often allowed if you have a diagnosed. They offer both methadone and Suboxone and the clinic in the Richmond Hill facility has their methadone clinic right downstairs so you can dose upon waking up. The staff is caring and professional, and the community is caring as well. Well that's about all I have to say! If you are struggling with substance abuse and looking to change your life, look no further! This place is 5* and fully covered by almost all insurance as far as I know! I have Medicaid and they cover my services here

Went here for a couple months in 2022, specifically the therapist Casey was a huge help when my dad passed and made an effort to help me figure out I had depression and helped my family get through tough times and helped us with donations, who also helped my family in 2016 and donated toys ❤️❤️❤️

My experience at NUMC was truly blessed. The staff were friendly and had no issue with attempting to help us adhere to our religious needs. Moreover, it was a thriving learning environment, where Nurses to Residents and Doctors would take their time in explaining the why, versus just the how it will be done. Although, my stay was short, NUMC's ER dept exceeded expectations and successful got my Wife stabilized and in a condition for additional medical treatment, following a terrible motorcycle accident. God Bless the staff of NUMC and a special Du'a for the ER/ICU department. I pray that it was a pleasurable mutual learning experience for everyone.

I had my doubts when I saw the reviews. But honestly I don’t understand why. I brought my mother in due to a severe depression crisis. She’s 71. They admitted her to the geriatric unit. It was the hardest decision of our lives. First admission ever. However, everyone in the hospital was very nice, professional and polite. They took good care of my mother. Of course I had to advocate for many things but everyone was understanding. My mother health improved so much after the discharge. We continue to receive care now in the outpatient clinic. I will always be grateful for this hospital. Also, extremely clean. Review should be 5/5

I stayed at low 6 and low 4 and the nurses and staff were amazing to me . There were a few things that could be done better to better mental health facilities like incorporate gyms and natural holistic ways to help people channel their illness . The food wasn’t the greatest but wasn’t the worst this time around . I believe that mental health facilities and people held under locked restrictions should still deserve human dignity

When a friend recommended Zucker Hillside, I immediately googled it and at the time the score was 2.9, which I was a little apprehensive about it but I trust my friend and as such went forward with visiting the Rapid Access Center (RAC). Having been in the mental health field for 10+ years, I have high standards while also recognizing the practical realities of the limitations of the healthcare system. I cannot speak highly enough about Zucker Hillside's RAC. The security guard who directed us to the RAC, allowed us to park in the Internal Medicine on call spot given the urgency, the security guard who personally escorted us to the RAC, the front desk staff who were very informative, the LCSW who was incredibly patient and kind, and the psychiatrist who was also fantastic. I've seen mental health professionals try to cut off patients when they may be going on a tangent for the sake of 'redirection' but both the LCSW and psychiatrist were very understanding and tactful in their approach. I recall the psychiatrist saying "we took the scenic route but we got there" with a gentle smile. While it was a busy waiting room and we didn't have a prebooked appointment, we were seen in a reasonable time frame.

I’m not one to write reviews, but as a nurse practitioner myself, trying to navigate a chronic, aggressive disease with no cure, I feel compelled to share my experience.
Far too often, I have been medically gaslit, received subpar care, and been met with little to no compassion while fighting a disease that has completely changed my life.
It is incredibly difficult to find healthcare providers who are truly knowledgeable about this disease and understand that patients suffering from Stage IV endometriosis and adenomyosis are not simply seeking pain medication. We are living with unimaginable, debilitating pain that most people will never understand.
At just 30 years old, I have already lost organs to this disease and am now facing the possibility of a hysterectomy. This is not a life I ever imagined for myself.
To the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for me last night, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for taking my condition seriously, listening to me, and treating me with genuine compassion. After seeing my postoperative surgical photos, the medical team was genuinely at a loss for words. For once, I felt seen, heard, and believed.
Women’s health does not receive nearly the attention, understanding, or quality of care it deserves. Far too many women are left suffering in silence, dismissed, or made to feel as though their pain is exaggerated.
Last night, you reminded me what healthcare is supposed to look like. You treated me not just as a patient in pain, but as a human being who desperately needed help.
You all saved a life last night, and I will never forget that.
I am forever grateful that you helped me manage an excruciating pain flare so I could regain some sense of normalcy and return to doing what I love most: caring for my own patients.
Thank you, North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, for showing me the compassion, dignity, and exceptional care that every patient deserves. 🤍
