My mom was in and out of this hospital for the most part of 2024 with cancer and blood transfusions. As most employees were great, there were two nurses that cared for mama that were outstanding. A white nurse, Annette and a black nurse, Sophia. They went beyond to take care of mama's needs. They both deserve a raise. I hope if I am ever admitted to UNC Health in Smithfield I have one or both of these great ladies. Keep up the good work, Annette and Sophia!

I’m an infrequent user of this CBOC but my experience is much more positive than what some have written. From the moment Dr. Thomas arrived she has handled my issues expeditiously and correctly the first time. Her nurse returns calls the same day and is results oriented. I was here before CBOC came to town. Trust me, don’t knock a local VA facility that so many dedicated officials worked so hard to bring to us for our benefit. No, like the military, they’re not perfect but from my perspective they are dedicated professionals grinding through each and every day in the most bureaucratic agency of the US government. I've seen some negative reviews about Maxine, although I've had the opposite experience. Maxine does have a strong personality, however, she has been extremely professional, helpful and loving over the past two years while working with me and my children. Their behaviors have shifted for the better since Maxine has come into our lives and I am so grateful for her and the services she provides.

Did the 90 days in fall of 2019. The program basically focuses on Addictive and criminal thinking patterns and the ones who give it a chance will get something out of it. Mr. Ray was my counselor and from day one was fair to all and a good , down to earth counselor. The concerns process was a blast and I can talk all day here but words can't explain the experience you just have to go if given a chance. It's not suppose to be fun ( which it isnt) but given the chance it can have a positive effect. PULL UP!!!

My experience at RMTC was a great life learning experience. First I had to come to believe I had a problem and then the staff could do what they do best. Not only did I get the help to treat my addiction I also learned a lot about my character defects that I didn't realize I had. This was tough to come to terms with but the more willIing I was to work on myself no matter how painful or uncomfortable it made me feel the more I was able to get out of the program. I am still sober and clean 7 months later and I am constantly working on becoming a better person. The staff and TA's are amazing people. The food was top notch. The equine therapy something I was skeptical about but it did wonders for me. I highly recommend this treatment center. My only advice to anyone going would be to push your ego aside and be ready to do whatever is asked of you no matter how much it eats at your ego or pride. If you are willing to dig deep inside yourself you will gain a tremendous amount of insight on what makes you tick and and how to curb it for the better. It will put you down the right path to continue to better yourself for the rest of your life.
