I had an excellent experience at Portage Path North, especially with my provider Julie Ashkar. She was extraordinary and helped me immensely. She was very professional and efficient. She was extremely knowledgeable and stayed on top of the latest treatment approaches. I felt comfortable asking her about medication changes and was always confident that she genuinely wanted to help find the best option for me, as an individual. She got to know me and listened attentively. When I was struggling with depression she was able to help me get back to a healthier mindset by providing thoughtful, insightful and useful feedback. She even understood my quirky sense of humor and got me laughing quite often! (That truly is good medicine.) I made so much progress under her care that I was able to overcome fears and barriers that had been holding me back for decades. I’ve been a patient at Portage Path- Graham Rd site for over 4 years now. It took a couple tries to find a psychiatrist and therapist that felt right, but I eventually found Sean Blake and Julie Ashkar. Having them both on my team has been instrumental into how well I’m doing mentally and emotionally. I can’t thank either of them enough for sticking with me over the last few years. Julie, she never gave up on finding a medication regimen that worked for me and listened to every word single I had to say each session, never rushed me or made me feel like we were on a time crunch. This place is horrible. They released my brother without giving him proper care and speaking with his sign authorized rep. The day he was released he refused to continue taking his medications. He almost caught his apartment on fire from having his burners on his stove. SWAT had to kick in his door. Now 1 week later he is back in the hospital and worse than he was when we initially sent him to the hospital. Per the Social Worker (Rochelle) she felt he was stable enough to discharge instead of contacting his family to get their input. My brother has a huge support system and we are his biggest advocates. If they treat someone like this who has family, think about the people who do not have family that will stand behind. The state claims they spend so much money on mental health but they are failing to actually provide proper care. OSU Harding has been a disgrace.

I have to say that this organization is ONLY wanting or trying to give assistance to those with a raging drug addiction. Someone I love was in a crisis and was contemplating suicide. I knew that I had gotten wonderful help at Dublin Springs so I took them there, I had been here myself and received amazing treatment and dealt with my issues. I was also a duel diagnosis so that must be why i got the treatment I did. I was hoping my loved one would get help for his painful situation. After explaining his life story and telling them how he felt and how taking his life was a reality, they had him fill out all the paperwork, and do everything they had to do for him to be admitted. When they found out he was not addicted to hard drugs, all of a sudden everything changed. They no longer had any 'room' for my loved one, they could no longer help him in ANY way except to give directions to the exit door! I am ashamed that I spoke highly of them, told my loved one that they would be safe, they would not have to feel so much pain there, they could get the help they needed, and I pushed them to go even though they told me that this would happen. He was so devastated, broken, alone, and mentally exhausted and just wanted it to stop and this business, this store, this place that should be in trouble for false advertisement extended a 'hand' to help him and as soon as he reached for it they slapped him across the face {NOT literally} How can they offer services that they in no way provide?! I am ashamed. As Dublin Springs should be .
THAT is what STIFFLERsays.

Substance abuse programs include detox and inpatient rehab for adults and specialized partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for teens ages 12 to18. Colum | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Really appreciated the treatment I received and all the The resources. The day nursing team and PCA’s were wonderful. The kitchen staff was very friendly. I felt like the team that I worked with genuinely cared about me.
The only frustrating thing was some of the staff on nights were very unfriendly, especially the PCA. I understand people have bad days at work, but there’s no excuse to treat people like their children, especially when they’re being cooperative. Once you’re there, you don’t have a choice to be there and it would help if those folks who were unfriendly would understand that they can choose not to come into work but, I can’t choose when I leave. That sort of treatment doesn’t help when you’re in there for depression and anxiety.
Besides that, I only have good things to say. That being said, I would like to thank everyone who helped take care of me while I was in the Willows pod. Deb, and Alicia you two are wonderful. Y’all helped me believe in humanity again by the way, you all treated me.
